Both. It depends on the time of day on the location of the server. Night is dark. Day is a bit lighter. You will see the difference.

So my brother logged in on his Steam Account today on his computer and updated to latest Beta Patch and so on. The computer has not been used for some time since he has been away. The last time it was used I logged in on MY Steam and played some DayZ. I noticed I was his character so I figured it has something to do with the local files and logge out. I have since been playing on my character on my own computer (in another town even). Now we are in the same house and when he logged in (again, on his steam account on his computer with his local files and all) and he spawned as the character I have been playing. We have checked our CD-keys in Steam and they are different. It's a mess. :) Help? EDIT: To clear things up: - Two different computers - Two different installs of Arma - Two different Steam Accounts - One character

I looked around in regedit but I couldn't find the Key. :)

So the problem solved itself. We Verified the local files in Steam and started both Arma 2 and OA in Steam and that seemed to overwrite the cd-key in the registry, Weird.

Any suggestion what kind of a program? I have never messed around with the registry so I am alone and afraid right now. And once I find the key do you mean to manually paste it in Steam or replace the one in the registry? Because in Steam they are different.

Yeah, I will check that. I am very sure I am not for some retarded reason is playing with his character on my computer because I remember I recognized my gear and location when I played on my computer. Same with his, that's how I knew I was playing with his character.

When dogs are introduced I think it would be interesting to be able to Wash Off Blood in water sources to get rid of the scent that the dogs are following. Assuming that being able to tell your dog to track a scent is a feature that is enabled that is. Also, rocket has mentioned that there might be some blood on your clothes (that would also dissapear if you wash it off I guess) if you loot a dead body which could be an indicator that you are leaving a scent trail.

Sometimes when I am running around looking for campsites to raid far out in the wilderness I simply forget that I have no more food or water. When the starvation sets in I have such a long way to run back to civilization and then I also have to actually find some food. Only ever actually died from it once though and even that was indirectly because I got desperate and mauled by infected.

I totally agree that we should, if desperate enough, have the choice of eating the meat raw to stop starvation but with a huge risk of disease. Hopefully there will be more "infections" in the future and there could be a random risk of different types of disease be it a bacterial infection or just nausea with different cures for each to find.

Could be as simple as right clicking on a box of matches and click Light Match. Very faint glow, suitable when searching houses...

Yeah, I totally agree. It's the same reason why I bought some l337 hacking scripts and are now using them. So what if it is an exploit ruining everyone else's experience, if people assault me and I have money to waste on toys why should I not? So what?

I totally agree that it is a bit early to consider a console version of DayZ but I must say that all the PC Elitism in this thread is so fucking adorable. Please have fun on your high horses while I play every good game on every good platform out there. :)

Is DayZ loaded when the game is started, does it say DayZ in the main menu? Give us every bit of information you can think about (and some more) and we'll help you figure it out. :)
