My trick is to say "Hello" in such a stupid way that the other guy gets confused. You would be surprised how often it works. -

Birds flies away when someone dies. If something need to get "hacked" (be it a laptop, random electric device or car) just look for the guy with glasses. Or the very good looking girl with glasses because glasses means science. And not even science makes girls not look good. To continue on my latest post regarding dogs invulnerability; never find yourself in a group consisting of yourself, a dog and a kid. There are two immortal death defying beings and you. Run. Look for the science guy above or a non-white.

Dogs are unkillable. But if they die, they save everyone. Never choose a black skin. We also need some kind of electricity to be introduced into DayZ so that there can be a blackout whenever a character says "At least it can't get any worse". This also applies to rain and thunderstorms. Also, characters should say random lines all the time, really.

If zombies are nearby when trying to drive a car the ignition will always fail and only work once the infected are very close. If a vehicle explodes a burning tire will always roll out from the explosion. At dawn you will only be able to fly helicopters towards the sunset.

If you make it possible to start threads directly in the Graveyard you might save yourself some work, mods.

It would be very stupid if there were unreachable places to hide a helicopter where you can log off and leave it. If no one else can reach it, you should not be able to either if you log off.

If you could make 3 specific changes what would they be?

1. Remove all forms of side-chat or in-game communication other than direct. 2. Drastically decrease the amount of ammo and general amount of everything in loot spawns. I would love to desperately run around searching for food with three bullets for my low-tier gun not really wanting to waste any since they might save me later. 3. Complicate the vehicle mechanics so that everything is more difficult to drive/fly. Gears for cars, manual shifting obviously. Instrument panels you have to keep an eye on in first person (no HUD at all showing vehicle health and such crap) to check oil, fuel and whatever. -
