10? Try 15! It started development 1996. To put that in perspective: Quake was release 1996. Tomb Raider too. Playstation was 2 years old. Two years later, Half-Life was released.

There is also the possibility that there really isn't anything to show, or at least nothing that's in a good enough state to show off. Looking at some of the reactions from the last devblog they might just want to finish stuff more before showing it of.

It is probably some kind of issue with arma not starting as Combined Operations. Re-install both arma and OA. Open both one time as administrator and let both of them load. After that re-install DayZCommander and start with updating/installing Arma 2 Beta. It should say up-to-date when finished. After that install DayZ. If it doesn't work use playWithSIX. I know this forum has a sweet spot for DayZCommander but I have had problems with it which PWS fixed.

No, then you don't get to play the game. If it is too expensive you don't buy it, and you sure as hell won't solve the problem by making it worse. And cheating is never ok as long as other players are involved. dn_cornholio all you want but don't feed the disgusting script business.

It's funny he mentions velociraptors cause just yesterday I thought about other settings where the whole survival theme would be cool. And stranded on a dinosaur island with a bunch of other murderous players struggling for food was the most awesome thing I could imagine. :)

What happens when you start any other game? Or when you fullscreen a video? EDIT: Try changing the settings to mirror one screen, not using two separate ones! -

Well, SimCity did release as a full game and then it damn better work. Since this will be released as an alpha the same rules won't apply. :)

Are you sure you are starting with the correct beta-patches and all that when you start the game? If it's a shortcut it might just start the basic version.

There is probably something messed up with the registry. See if there is some antivirus program doing bad stuff and make sure you are re-installing as admin! EDIT: Also there could be that there are some addons, or files, that the server won't accept. See if you can find the files you mentioned and see if they are messed up somehow. Like copies or such.

It is weird that these things never happen to people around here that have been playing for a while. Also a rare coincidence that it always seems to happen to angry and immature people. One could almost say people that would enjoy scripting. Going off-topic here but I sure as hell wish that if there were 100% proof your Steam account would get banned and ALL the games on the account inaccessible. Forever. That would teach people to not be dicks. -
