This, combined with the quick action bar, might work very well. If the inventory works so that I can assign items from different slots to the quickbar, as in holstering a gun in my pockets, being able to get a gun out quick should it be necessary you wouldn't feel entirely helpless when removing a gun from your hands but it also won't feel intimidating for other players, opening up for some more tense interactions. :) Lots of commas in this post. Confusion.

Being able to place a timed bomb in a pocket would be awesome. Like a craftable egg-timer-grenade-thingamagoo. Your friend goes down but before you run for your life you put a nice little surprise on the corpse for the looter to find in a couple of minutes.

Screw realism, scoped weapons is easy lazy mode, especially with the grass rendering and shadowing problems. I want exciting encounters with short range weapons. Not Secret of Monkey Island with guns (pixel hunt, point-and-click).

Since I don't really want to post a whole thread about it and since everyone will soon get really annoyed/pissed/disappointed I'm just gonna change the subject with a funny little story that just happened. So I was taking the train home and in the seat in front of me two kids were seated. I would say they were between 10-13, but I'm guessing. I overheard them talking (or shouting, as kids often do) and soon something caught my ear. Apparently they were friends, not brothers, and were going to one of the kid's home to play videogames on an older brothers computer. The kid said that the older brother was playing this really cool zombiegame against other players and the kid knew how to find a way to get "all the weapons and find everyone." Seemed to me they weren't really aware about how that is cheating. I would have said something but the train was full and yelling at two small kids over zombies would have looked pretty weird. Almost makes me feel sad for when someone in the next couple of weeks comes here to claim "a brother hacked". Oh well!

There are many different hives. If servers share hive you can jump between them. In the beginning there was only one, public, hive but now there are many different private ones as well.

Aping the behaviour of a "famous" youtuber makes me think less of a person regardless.

Again: Go to www.battleye.com, read the FAQ and mail them for support. If it indeed was a faulty ban they will overturn it but it might take some time to even get an answer as I think you can imagine that they get a lot of requests about this.

You could have downloaded something masked as a tool or whatever for DayZ that accessed your registry and stole the key. Have you downloaded anything that could be suspicious? Also; where did you get your key from? Some shady sites just sell stolen keys.

Read the stickies. Either you cheated or someone used your cd-key and cheated. Either way you won't play Arma 2 for a while.

Just remember the summer of 2012. Everytime a update was released there was a clusterfuck of problems with different versions, servers and all that. Fixing issues with a small team is the way to go!

I will have to disagree with almost everyone here. :) I would LOVE to see money in DayZ just for the sake of messing with players preconception with how a game works. No doubt many players will start collecting money and perhaps even use it in trades in the beginning before realizing it is absolutely worthless. Still, I think some players will have trouble not collecting money since it is so programmed in our brains to do so in games and real life! So just add the item money, but don't have any mechanics supporting it.

Don't do it again or we will go medieval on your ass. Please.
