I think it would be possible to replace an already existing face with this skin - simply calling the file by the same name and then replacing it. Though I am not 100% sure how skinning is done on Arma -

check on the ground where you were flying when the server restarted. the vehicle is usually saved to it's last known location automatically when server resetarts - at least for all the ground vehicles. -
