ITS NOT ABOUT FUCKING ROLEPLAY!!!! Maybe if you for once used a mic to talk in game instead of being so fucking stubborn and kill count hungry, you'd realize theres more to the player interactions than "your bullets -->> their hitbox".
-
Literally no point in renting a server unless you're a clan with a couple of people chipping in. Servers are wildly overpriced.
-
That's just your poor excuse for refusing to talk in game and shooting on sight.

Searching for the 1000 m shot with the RV1 RDS Optics package

Probably less realistic than WoD, if we're honest. -
You're part of the problem then. People who just KOS and don't say anything. Why? You're literally the worst sort of player to play DayZ.

Bravo. Putting it much more eloquently than I have. This is the truth. -
LOL. "Internet badass" over here. No I don't do that, I'm not retarded. But you're probably the sort of person who just KOS "just in-case!", "you never know!" sort of player. Just because you're autistic and too socially awkward to interact with people doesn't mean everyone else is.
-
Double or nothing. Double being both, nothing being scrapping DayZ (lol).
-
Nice, so generalizing the entire population because of a small minority? So that's why you don't speak, because you JUST MIGHT bump into a kiddo? Whats the point of playing a multiplier game with this attitude guys? <- also @medic guy

The BF/COD kids are here. Unfortunately anything bar going back in time and sterilizing their parents won't fix this problem.
-
"Psychopaths" lol... Ok. Sounds like you're just afraid of social interactions... "I can't reveal my REAL voice, I'll be immediately judged!" come the fuck on.
-
And as proven by YouTube, this is clearly enforced.

I know these rules cannot be enforced per se (I've seen "NO KOS" server admins kick people though), but this is indicative of what will happen to the servers once private hives are released. Hence I think the law i.e strict set of rules which even private hives should abide by needs to be enforced. -
The only thing you'd need to do is say DayZ. Literally 4 words. If someone records you and puts the video on the youtubes, imagine how many hundreds of thousands of people will immediately identify you by your clearly distinguishable voice! SHOCK HORROR!

How is it against privacy? You can then choose to talk to players or not, but at least everyone knows that you CAN indeed reply so it's not a guessing game. It's not like your mic is on 24/7 and broadcasting everything that's happening in your room via global.
-
Nah. Not even mad. Haven't played DayZ since last year. Umm, sorry buddy but if you can't afford a mic - and I'm 100% serious when I say this - you have bigger problems to worry about than DayZ, or gaming for that matter. Compromising identity? Hardly. Everyone's anonymous on the internet (to an extent obviously). This has nothing to do with privacy. This has everything to do with social interactions between players which are hampered by the lack of players with microphones. TBH you're hardly going to be harassed when talking to someone in direct and if you're so insecure that you DON'T want to talk even over THE INTERNET for god's sake, then I am dissapoint. My reason is simple - get people to interact instead of KOSing. I GUARANTEE that this would reduce the KOS. Right now someone might be typing something but you don't know if he's typing or simply taking aim. This would solve this problem. ezgame ezlyfe.

Good point. Tbh don't know how many mute DayZ players there are... So I'm not saying we should screw them over, but at the same time I'm not saying we shouldn't... Maybe make it a requirement for HC servers only? Or certain servers? I duno, I'd like it to see for the whole game but at the same time I don't want to omit mute players. FUCK.

Chernarus idea for the devs (for final release not now).

You need to learn to read. You're the one asking for easier time. I'm telling you to man up and stop crying. -

Yeah no. If they wanted to attract more people they'd focus more on pvp, give more guns, etc. You clearly can't tell the direction the DayZ devs are taking since the mod. -

Wrong. If the main focus was money we'd see less survival elements implemented and more guns for example. -
I hate these motherfuckers. All need a proper slapping.

Because I can. I know. That's why I think BI should basically lay down the law and allow people to make mods for the game, but within a very strict rule set. For example, can't have more than X vehicles per server, can't have restarts more frequently than Y, can't spawn with items, no npcs etc. That way we'd still get new content from modders (mainly maps) and the game would be kept fresh and legit. How come ARMA was made then? A very niche game that by your logic should have been dead. Or how about iRacing? A racing game which requires not only a monthly sub, but a pretty expensive hardware set (wheel, pedals, stick). The games that try to cater to every demographic end up catering to nobody and ultimately fail. DayZ isn't meant to be some themepark ride. There's a strict set of rules you have to follow, just like in rugby or football. You can't allow handicaps for people who can't adapt to the game. Those people leave. NOT EVERY GAME IS FOR YOU! -

People who buy into a niche game like DayZ for the survival element are more likely to stay with the game than someone who's just looking for quick PVP session. -

I agree with you 100%. I still hope that the devs will give a big "fuck you" to people who just deathmatch and don't care about the survival element at all, but somehow I doubt that's going to happen... I guess we're going to have to wait for DayZero... -

TBH, I don't give a fuck if you play Epoch or 5000 vehicle server, but what I do give a fuck about is keeping hardcore servers populated. Spreading people over all these easymode servers has caused good HC servers to die off. If everyone played under the same ruleset then the most stable and well admined servers would be the most populated, which is the way it should be. Most people who play those mass vehicle servers only log on to find a car, gun shoot a couple of other players then log out. They don't care about the game and the game shouldn't care about them.
