    Dynamic shadows...

    My bad, the shadows always seemed to be cast in the same place, but my headlight/torch/flare point still stands. It would be pretty intense going through the forest at night with just the torch casting shadows everywhere...

    Meh. Cherno and Elektro are a shitfest still but the game runs on an "acceptable" level (acceptable for how poorly coded it is...). Arma 3 runs alright for me (again almost full max) but it depends on the server for some reason... 1080P, 4670k, 770, 4GB RAM, no ssd

    DayZero has this, where you can use a 100 drum mag for the M16/M4/G36... Same principle as 30 rnd. STANAG for M249

    I don't think there are dynamic shadows during the day guys... I haven't noticed them elongate or move (tree shadows) as time passes. They are pretty much static.

    Wrong. A weapon can be overpowered, no matter how "realistic" the game is trying to be - mind you, this isn't a simulator. The bullshit guns (.50 cals) were removed for that exact reason. Why would you use a Dragunov or M24 over an AS 50 if you had enough ammo for both? YOU WOULDN'T! Unless the heavy asskickers are balanced - i.e no backpack and considerably slower run speed, they will forever be unbalanced and incredibly overpowered

    Good post, I like it. There's no downside to KOS (generally), in fact you are likely to gain more than from teaming up. I also like the sanity idea, though not sure how it'd work exactly

    I'm not sure if the EA or Act would make a "hardcore" game a la dayz, purely because even though the game is popular, I don't think enough people would buy it as the game would be too hard and slow paced for the masses

    I bet it'd be far easier to port zombies into Arma 3 than porting the bling. The graphic style of Arma 2 and DayZ is very outdated, like I said, gun models etc... ugly stuff. But it's not all about graphic, again like I said sounds are CONSIDERABLY worse than arma 3... To be honest I'm past the point of waiting for the standalone as I'm quite frankly not impressed by what's been done so far, and like Jackall said, I think it'll be 2015 before we see the full game launch (post beta)... I'm not sure if BI will send them some guys after Arma 3 launches, but I refuse to believe there are many more people working on SA now than there were making DayZ updates a year ago...
