Yeah I had a look at the servers being hosted by IPGN and there were no DayZ servers listed there, wasnt sure how to proceed. Im relieved that its not a global ban, that concerned me. Anyhow, thanks muchly for your time and help SumoS, it was appreciated anyway.

HI Gogster, thank you for contributing and assisting with this enquiry. I have just checked the ARMA2 in Steam and it does not say anything about an age restriction, please note that I have only had a cursory glance but normally if there is an age restriction you have to put in your DOB first. I am from Australia, I do know they recently brought in +18 rated games but given the age of this game then I suspect that it was released way before this. However I could be wrong and it might pop up with some age restriction when you go to buy it however its a mute point as they have already bought these games through Steam.

Hi Sumos, I asked him to log on to one of the ANZ servers and he was able to do this fine, thank you, I should have asked him to check that sooner. So I guess this means it must be the two AU servers he is banned from. Would you happen to be an admin from these servers ?, I have looked at the IPGN website but I do not know how to contact somethere there, so I am hoping an admin will spot this message here. If an admin from the AU servers could please contact me to let me know why he has been banned, if he was cheeky over the mic then let me know, I will understand if you will not remove this ban however I am happy to also remove his MIC should he be allowed to continue playing there. I do know he was being griefed by Hackers and it was his 2nd death in as many minutes. I also know that he does not swear.

Sigh.. ok forget his age if this is going to cloud the issue. I am not sure why this game is not appropriate for him, he has Left 4 Dead (aussie version which is toned down). He likes to play with his older siblings. Hes not too bad at it either. There is no nudity and the blood/gore is laughable so Im not sure why not. He does have a mic, though he does not swear (hes only 11). If an admin could get in touch with me to explain the ban that would be great. As far as downloading scripts or anything this would be nigh impossible for him to achieve, as I would imagine he would need to install or place the scripts in the arma folder or something. Look im sure this will be sorted out easily enough, my first suspicion is that his GUID has been scammed or copied or something, this can be sorted out by the IP im sure.

Hackers absolutely running amok on the AU servers tonight, son killed by them twice within 15 minutes, by different hacks. Im not even game to log on atm.

My friend and I had a blue bus, some medical supplies in the trunk. We hooned down the coast picking up noobs and on our way to Zelengorsk to drop them off to the supermarket we passed a survivor on the side of the road with a zombie eating him, we killed the zombie, patched him up and he jumped in the bus. We got to Zelengorsk and they all jumped out, the guy we bandaged turned around and shot everyone including me, he damaged the bus badly but my friend managed to drive it away and save it. There is my story of helping someone.

That person you killed might have been the server admin and hes taking it out on you, not supposed to happen but the forum is full of examples where it has. If you are only banned from that one server then try and speak to an admin. If you are banned from all servers then suck it up princess and stop hacking.

Just use six-launcher. If your technically savvy then do it manually otherwise use the supported Dayz tool first before asking for help.

If you pulled up at the site and dismounted from a vehicle, only then does the spawn timer start so it can take a bit to spawn loot. This only applies if you dismount from a vehicle.

Turn off your hacks.

Hey all, Ive just hit exceeded the 300 hour milestone in Steam (actually its a bit more cause I used six-launcher for a bit). Hackers recently have really made the game unplayable so I have tried to cut back on my addiction a bit .. last night a friend of mine needed help and some company so I begrudgingly logged on. As soon as I logged on I missed whatever the hacker message was but I found myself standing butt naked in the forest. The only thing I had left was some ammo for my now missing pistol, one bandage and my zombie kills total. As I was close to tents this wasnt too bad so I shrugged it off and went and regeared and prepared to head to my friend. I was playing all commando like, peering around buildings first, crouch running to keep a low profile, swinging around to watch my rear occasionally in case i was being followed, took us nearly an hour to meet up. I gave him some extra stuff that I had took for him as he was geared up with a lee enfield only. We then started to head back. Normally I use my motorbike but when I logged in last night it was missing as well. Then the 2nd hacker hit, we were all teleported somewhere (didnt get a chance to see where) and began falling from the sky, I remember forum people saying to ABORT! but for the life of me in my panic I could not pull this off successfully and crunched into the ground, dead.. my friend also died. Server going down.. Friend and I joined a different server. Hacker had just hit this server as well though not sure how or what with as people were just using foul language in VON as we waiting patiently at the login screen. Sweet I said to my friend we could find all sorts of things now that people were plucked out and killed. We actually managed to play for a bit this time, the first in ages I could actually play the game. Now, seeing as death was now coming often due to hackers, all care is being thrown to the wind. It was at this time that I noticed that Battleeye was sending random updates to the lower left side of the screen, Random Fact it said, over 10000 cheaters have had their accounts banned and that they were working with the game designers to improve it. This was spiriting, just to know that someone was actually doing something about this. It gave us hope. I have had a LOT of friends and family give up over the past week and have not returned yet, many many people have left but I guess the one message is to hang in there, im sure there will be a new patch, im sure battleeye will implement even more checks and bans and this game, after seeing that message myself last night gave me hope.

Yes it can run it, however make sure you implement the arma2 optimisations that have already been discussed in this forum.

LOL I wanna play on your servers cause ours are being hacked to death. I thought I would risk logging on last night as a couple of friends were on, No shit, I logged in and was cautiously doing a 360 when a message comes on screen 'Goat Zoo', I quickly exited the game, spoke to friends and they had been summoned to a spot and turned into goats. Now where I come from this is a hack. I am going to give DayZ a break and await a next patch or something.

No, they only have 5 spots and we have already tried to put a backpack in, it just drops on the ground. Good for holding a fuel can though.

You were tracking user behaviour ??, because thats what server admins do dont they... Why are you looking for vehicles ? I thought that radar tool was banned ?, if not then it should be. Not only do we have to contend with bandits and hackers but now admins that have full access to our tents and vehicles ?? Sigh..
