I note in the new patch notes that helis might be coming back in. This poses some concerning questions - At this stage he who has a copter can simply fly quickly over the map, spot the vehicles that are trying to be hidden by parking in woods or mountain tops, they can also see easily large camps. Example - I wont name the server but on this particular server I stumbled across a large sprawling camp with about 10 tents in it, it was located on top of a flat hill which made it invisible from the ground. But a heli would see it easily as it was in the open and it even had a nice flat landing area near it. They could empty this camp quickly and easily ? If you are bringing in helicopters could you also implement some sort of camouflage that we can find and affix to vehicles or tents to help (ie like scrap metal is used on vehicles). This wont be a silver bullet for this problem might help to conceal tents in wooded areas ? To those that are going to be abusive or dismissive without fully understanding this issue then dont bother responding as I will not respond back. Im just stating this as I think a large amount of the community have become lax with concealing their stuff due to no airborne craft in the game, but that will change very soon.

Yep easy fix, simply reboot when changing steam logins. I load up my son's steam account to move his character etc but I have to reboot my machine to then load up my steam to play my char.

Yep all the hospitals have boxes and stuff laying inside. All you need to do is to smash the glass to enter. To avoid making too much noice, use empty cans to smash the glass. Inside there are boxes and in these are normally lots of blood bags and morphine, epi-pens and bandages.

There has been quite a few complaints today about admins kicking people for killing them or looting their camps etc, I guess this must be on the rise. I would suggest changing servers, bite the bullet and do it now before you start finding vehicles etc. I would also 'fraps' being kicked as well and post in the server abuse section. Hopefully the dev's see it and blacklist the server or something. Someone must be in the water, seen lots of posts about this sort of behaviour today.

Yep there is already a full blown training scenario in the core game. I would suggest loading up ARMA2 and playing the tutorials, it shows you have your gear works, you can choose all the guns etc and then use them at the firing range. To give you an idea, I practiced throwing grenades there so I could use them in DAYZ. You can also learn how to drive vehicles and move around, how to drag friends to cover etc.

There are motorbikes in the game, if you mean harleys or choppers then No, I think you have some trail bikes, pushbikes and some quad bikes. You can double someone on these bikes (not sure about doubling on the pushbikes) however you cannot shoot from them.

Yep agree, the game has turned into a pvp deathmatch game, I do not think you can fix this by reducing the weaps or ammo, this will only make the geared bandits more dangerous. Remember - 'the one eyed man in the land of the blind is god'. If the intent of the game is to be a pvp arena then they are achieving what they set out to do, if its to be a simulation or survival game against zombies then they need to change how banditry/murdering works. I suggest laying low and avoiding populated areas for now until - a) They fix this and balance gameplay. B) Fortnite or WarZ is released.

Ok this might sound silly but a couple of things to watch for - when it rains, it creates small dots on the ground, even if you are inside some buildings. If your blood is low the colours disappear and everything looks greyish, the more hurt you are the more grey it becomes. If this isnt your problem then disregard this response :)

I would suggest you simply download 6-launcher from the dayz site or dayzwiki.com site and run that, it will automatically patch your game with both the Beta and Dayz files and enable you to play without too much trouble.

wow, my son played on my computer through Steam (he likes my bigger monitor) and when I came along, kicked him off and logged into Steam I also found myself with his character. I simply rebooted the machine and logged back in and everything was fine. Sounds pretty drastic uninstalling everything.

Unfortunately most vehicles are hoarded by clans and located off-map. If a vehicle is destroyed they will spawn back in their original spawn points. Look for vehicles that are coloured, the dull grey ones are just for show but coloured ones are a sign they can be repaired. There is also a good vehicle spawn location map found at www.dayzwiki.com.

I have had this glitch before, only occurs when first logging in. To resolve, swap to pistol and then back to main gun.

You become a bandit when you murder someone. You start as a survivor, if you kill someone that has not killed anyone else then your MURDER counter increases by 1. If someone else kills you then their BANDIT counter increases by 1.

Yeah, its happening to us as well. If you are with someone, you gut the animal (and cannot see the meat) however your partner can get the meat. The same thing is happening if you upgrade your backpack, the backpack you had seems to dissappear yet someone else can see it yet you cannot.

Hi Serb, im guessing your ping is too high thus why the autokick. Make sure you are joining a low ping server, the ping will be in the green and hopefully somewhere around 50. The aussie servers for example are set to autokick once you exceed 180 ms.

Nope for more excitement walk up to someone in Cherno or Electro and say 'friendly'. This way you get to respawn in another location on the beach. Look for a lighthouse and hope theres a pushbike there. Go riding.
