Well I followed the tutorial, extracted the mission.pbo, edited the Loading = line properly, added a 1024x512 jpeg image which was like 200kb, repacked it as PBO and uploaded it to the server. but when I do this when I try to connect to the server it just says Wait for host. there's a ping rating and it's in playing state I think, but it just says Wait for host when I join, same for everyone else. Any help? I really want my loading screen in.

dayz commander is boss, just keep switching version to version instantly, 1.7.6 is fun finding all the food idk why it was removed, stupid kids

Sorry to double post but in case someone looks for the solution on google or something they might find this I exited steam and when I re-opened it and tried again, it worked... so yeah :/

Well FrankieonPCin1080p had like an i7 750 with a 680 and he was getting like 50fps inside cherno on most max settings(while recording), just turn down render distance and used an alternative to AA he now uses a 3770k and a 690 but yeah... I have a core2duo from like 2008 lol, I get like 10fps inside cherno, I just put up with it XD, cant wait to upgrade though (I have an ati 6850)

http://www.hardware.fr/articles/778-11/arma-2.html it's in french but the benchmark is english, google chrome translate ftw? he ran these like 2 years ago so these days you might see better performance, but the i7 980 is the best CPU he benchmarked and it only hit 22fps, which was also the highest FPS out of every CPU the only reason is because of AA set to max and 10km draw distance, otherwise you'd get a decent frame rate

damn I saw some thing about those 1366 i7s and there was something you needed to turn off, one of the features in the cpu or something and it basically gives you better performance, i'll come back and post if I find it. Oh it was pretty simple, I found it, some guy did a benchmark of like 200 CPUs on Arma, he also tested an i7 and said above his benchmark to turn off hyperthreading and it gives like 20% better performance Also his benchmark with the i7 980 only got 22fps, but he had all settings maxed like you, I don't think it's a CPU problem more of your choice of settings, turn down draw distance to like 1600, I'm pretty sure the fog stops you looking past 700 meters anyway, so don't put it on 10,000 because even a GTX 690 and 2 xeons would have trouble getting smooth FPS on that setting. oh and use PX AA or whatever it's called in the options, it's barely drops any frames compared to normal AA

yeah I told them what I said here but I haven't heard anything, I'm wondering if anyone else has another idea because it seems like this problem only happens to wannabe hackers

Guys I bought this game on steam, Arma 2 combined operations I didn't buy a key anywhere, I'm just using the one steam provided me.

That just says if you downloaded something, which I didn't... so...????

Ok first off I googled this problem and all I got was topics about people downloading hacks off the internet. I did not download anything off the internet for Dayz, my last downloads were malware bytes about a week ago and Six updater about a week before that, I don't hack and I don't intend to I got this game off steam, my friend bought it me for my birthday at the start of July 2012 (Combined operations gifted to me on Steam). I quit DayZ back in august but I came back about 2 weeks ago and i've been playing fine since but today I went to just play on some server, I think it was UK 25 and I got "CD Key in use" I just thought whatever probably lag, so I tried again, same thing. I tried some private hives instead, same thing -_-. What the hell? the last time I played was last night at about 11pm, it's just about lunch time here in the UK and now I'm getting this problem can anyone help? I just want to play, can I contact Bohemia or something and get a new key or what, also if I get a new "CD key" what do I do then, how do I use it?? God damn it all I want to do is play DayZ :(

Agree, 100%, The only reason I kill is because I feel threatened, if I don't kill them, how can I be sure they wont kill me?
