I prefer to play on Namalsk over the good old Chernarus. It has much more PvP action and stuff.

I used to hoard lots of stuff - heli crash sites drops, barracks drops, light vehicles & their parts (i.e. bikes, motorcycles, ATVs) But now both vehicles and tents are bugged, they're eating stuff, and it's kinda sad : (

Lost a HUGE BUNCH of RARE STUFF on numerous servers due to tent bug. All I can say - don't use tents and don't store your stuff in cars \ e.t.c. Server restarts = PUFF! It's gone!

Well, this story started a bit earlier today when I died crashing my tractor into a tree. I didn't have much stuff other than M14 AIM and m9sd, so I decided not to ragequit but to try and start gearing up again. I rejoined the server, and I noticed through the lobby there are like 5-6 people from the [4C] clan on the server (some of them had cyrillic letters in their nicknames so I assumed they're russians). "They must be farming Stary \ NWAF \ heli crashes for top-gear", I thought, so it shouldn't be much of a problem to run through southern cities like Cherno \ Elektro, find a bit of this, a bit of that and move on sweeping deer stands \ berezino for some mid-grade weapon. There were only 3-4 non-clan players on the server, ~10\40 in total, so I assumed my chances of stumbling upon someone in Cherno or Elektro are pretty low. I spawned on Golova Cap. "Well, ain't I lucky?" I thought. I knew there are 2 bicycle spawns on the Golova lighthouse, so I headed there, and yeah - there were 2 untouched bikes. I took one and decided to head to Elektro first - it's usually pretty easy to find some food \ starting weapon \ backpack in firestations \ supermarket. I sweeped the city, finding czech backpack, tons of food and meds, a tent (which is useless as for now) and AK-74 with no ammo, which I later swapped for an Enfield with 4 clips. Then I decided to head to Cherno - maybe I could find something useful in there, like camo \ ghillie, alice pack and other stuff. Checking military tents I heard a familiar chopper sound coming from the north, it was like 1km from me. It got me scared shitless, 'cause there were nameplates enabled on that server, so they obviously spotted me. And yup, moments later I heard gunshots in my direction. I grabbed my bike and started maneuvering through narrow streets, heading to the forest on the north to have a chance to lose the chopper. They continued firing in my direction, but luckily none of their shots hit me. I covered in the trees and started watching it through my binoculars. Heli stopped moving in a minute, hovering over Cherno's fire station. I decided I could take a shot from that distance - it was roughly 700 meters, not too much of a distance for an Enfield. I aimed and took a couple of shots, some of them hit the heli and it turned around facing me and moving in my general direction. I then reloaded, took like 5-7 shots from the ~500 distance, and that heli started smoking! They landed as I continued to shoot, but then some of those guys returned fire from something like AKM and I decided to retreat - I obviously couldn't fight back against an entire squad of geared people. I didn't get any kills nor death messages, but hell that was !!fun!!. As far as I remember, that server was named UK 197. P.S.: Excuse me for my bad language, I'm Russian myself :P

You don't need a tent man, just believe me, I lost so much stuff because of my tent eating it, I just don't want it to happen with you. Besides, the deal just sucks. One of the most useless weapons in the game for one of the most bugged things in the game. And the deal takes place on the most dangerous place in the game. God that's awful.

My tent ate: FN FAL with NVG scope + 7 mags 2x m107 + 2 mags AS50 + 3 mags Mk48 mod 0 + 4 mags +lots of meds and food Fuck it : (

Man, I just filled my tent with loads of rare guns, saved it several times, but then comes the server restart - and bam! - all the stuff is gone. That fucking pisses me off.

AFAIK smoke only appears if the crash site is "fresh" enough. As for me, I've only seen it once, stumbling upon a crash site near Vybor right after the restart.

I'd better stick to my flashlight \ flares \ NVG than use some kind of half-fixed glitch.
