I wouldn't go too deep into wound mechanics but a basic form of realistic wounds would be nice. Should stop people from engaging the "enemy" without a second thought.

I'm sure there are more people with iron sights and aimpoint like devices than scopes, they are easier to use ( imo a minority of weapon owners actually shoot beyond 200m and score a hit ) and won't fail you in a world without spare parts from the internet or wallmart. And in a world flooded with AKs we already have an iron sight majority. :P -
Zeds have bad eyesight if i remember correct, why they still see you from hundreds of meters is a mystery. Their main way of locating survivors is hearing afaik. Possible if they don't shut down. A flashlight should also be enough to shut it down, too.

Sure the Bizon is crap because almost everyone uses either an AS50 or a M107 or any other scoped rifle and is camping outside towns waiting for the zeds to pop up...if the majority had a realistic weapons set and handling would be real any smg or short rifle would be a valuable weapon to have for looting. -
I heard shooting gangbanger style the best way to conserve ammo... This also improves accuracy while shooting sideways

Sure it does, it's not like every village is gonna have heavy artillery hidden behind their walls to shoot the other town with or do they...? Guys like you always think about the possibilities of waging war and completely ignoring the 99% alternative ways of survival in DayZ. -

During my time as server admin i saw at least half of the players who joined our server having the AS50 and a lot of AS50 TWS, too even after they decreased the spawn rate of most high powered weapons...not really rare imo...proly duped but still... -

Since a lot more will be found than completely lost due to despawning corpes the problem will be noticable once you exceed a certain threshold. I'm not entirely against those rifles or any kind of long range weapon, it's just the ease of use that bothers me. -
Screw condoms, the survivors DayZ are immune so who cares...just don't try to get a BJ done... :lol:

Those are not bandits, those a players confusing DayZ with a big fragfest. I only read enemy player, enemies, enemy vehicles...looks like Zeds really are just a side dish. -
+1 Afaik the Lee Enfield was introduced in OA which means after Chernarus so the rifle doesn't have a connection to Chernarus at all, it's quite a common rifle for the poor middle eastern man who can't afford an AKM. It's still produced today.

Explosives don't necessarily explode when struck by a bullet...And IF then you would find suicide zombies only in Takistan...

Purposely contaminating lakes (SA)

That's a big concern regarding the contaminator, as long as it is possible to hop to another server where the water might still be clean or the perpetrator has water stashed all over the place the only purpose of this feature would be griefing. If you bind one character to the server it was created it's another story..they wouldn't even try to do that because usually nobody shits where they eat although there might be exceptions but with most people turning of their conscience which is fact or we wouldn't have senseless pvp all over the place ( this is a survival game after all and not an arm yourself to the teeth and kill everyone situation like warfare ) they shouldn't be even giving a thought of adding this feature. -
Quite difficult to differ but the fact remains that one will/can/could/wants to DC in a firefight is more likely to happen than having a system crash or internet connection failure is known to everybody. I could also just pull the plug the simulate an internet failure when i'm taken by surprise by another player so everybody regardless of the reason should be treated the same no matter what the cause is.

How will you simulate beeing bitten?? Having some guys with dogs around you perhaps? :D Altough it's interesting ppl might get confused really quick with too many steps in between. One thing i don't like is the fact that you know how many rounds are in a magazine by looking inside, you can't see all the way down so imo it's a downer in that simulation, the ACE solution was quite good using weight as a measurement ( i could assume how many bullets i have in the magazine by up to +-2 rounds ). BIS should model the guns right so if you look at your gun you should be able to see what fire mode you have selected just as an example of many... -

Well if that person wants to contaminate every lake in his living zone just to find out that he ran out of water...normally you would contaminate a lake if you are a military force and want to deny the enemy a water source, where of course you need a water source of your own ( those who have watched "The Beast of War" from 1988 should know what i am talking about, they nearly poisoned themselves while trying to drink from a water source which was poisoned by friendly forces some time ago ) -

ACE solved that by giving each item properties like weight and volume and backpacks only a maximum volume, if that volume exceeds the volume of the pack you can't put it in. You can put in as much as you want as long as the pack has the volume disregarding weight ( so a back could weigh 50kg ). But with 50kg you won't be running around CoD style. That's how it works. If BIS can't implement what a modding group did then all hope is lost. -
Combat timer should be a lot longer...
