Depends on the game, it can work both ways. While playing Hitman Absolution with a gamepad you have to hold down LT to aim and you can even "squeeze" the trigger, a feature i was really surprised with since nobody ever used it before which shows me at least the guy who added this feature could be a trained gun user or at least knowledgable. And this game is surely a "killing game". In the end it depends on the player, some day they will find out a way ( maybe even earlier using macros ) to bypass this system. While the feature of holding to aim well thought out i think it will be outwitted by players in the future if not even given up by the devs if there is enough resistance. My game style won't change that much anyway since i'm not the one who starts a fight in the first place, it always depends on the player in the end as i already mentioned above... -

Although it might slow down senseless killing i don't like the mechanic in any game... OFP 2 had it ( well it was a bad game anyway ) but is is disturbing if you have to watch a corner and have to keep the button pressed all the time. -

3P slings are a bit outdated. You can only shoot the rifle from one side and if you want to switch hands you would have to losen it up quite a bit or sling it around you in a different manner because it gets in your way. But for normal use it's pretty good if you need to keep your rifle on the ready.

I'd rather have the plyer have to find a parachute first and not it magically appearing out of his ass when he jumps...kind of awkward not having a parachute pack on your back and suddenly you have one...you should not be able to carry your original backback with it of course, some kind of alternative carrying bag would be ok.

Dayz SA to be a failure

The mod as it is has become a failure. It went soooooooo far away from the original idea now everyone expects the SA to be the same have everything at start DM mode, hold your dick and double click play, no challenge game. I hope Rocket stays true to his ideals of what kind of game the SA should be, this way people who don't like it because they can't just randomly shoot everybody will stick to the mod and it's private hives. And i hope they will enforce rent only servers like in the BF series so everyone has the same difficulty setting on every server no matter where they decide to play. -
What would stop me from grabbing your rifle from your back holster and shoot you in the back when you let your guard down while i pretended to be a "friendly"? Doesn't stop KoS imo. A rifle carried in a holster on the back poses a greater danger for the carrier imo, the rifle should be in front at all times. You could easily get caught in branches, any kind of entryway and other stuff or by zombies grabbing your rifle and holding you back ( if they would make that possible ).

Weight, encumbrance, stamina, speed

Clothing in general should have an impact on your movement anyway...i can't just put on layers of armor protection and a helmet and of course have a fullauto AS 50 TWS SD with a 200 round mag without moving a bit sluggish compared to a person who has light to no armor at all. I sure hope they also think of the downsides in SA and not just the looks, having an item limit instead of a weight limit = encumbrance = less stamina won't make it authentic...or should i say realistic? -
A hit on any kind of equipment should have the potential to destroy it...not just by dying.

Notificatiosn are fine but how often do you actually get notifications? And most of the time the info is really old, who knows if the people/convoy mentioned was not scattered elsewhere? And rumors can only be spread by survivors, people who kill eachother for the lulz won't spread a word. -

And even still it's not a universal remedy and not like a painkiller where you take one or two and the pain is gone just like that. That stuff is for emergeny use and you still need to recieve "real" medical treatment just in case. -
A rifle holster is to carry the rifle, and you usually carry it with a sling either on your back or in front of you if you need it "ready"...afaik there is no quick draw holster for rifles and you would need a quick draw holster to draw really fast.

You'd have to block server hopping for such an idea. I could jump from server to server and clear all spots, drop it somewhere nowhere to be found and keep playing to stay out of that loop with the purpose to cause grief. Limited supplies should only come with a "server native" playerbase.

That would be a lot more logical because you can find those everywhere. You might not fit into all of them but still more common than an underground railway running underground in the wrong areas.

Chernarus as most DayZ maps i've seen are too rural..subways are more a megacity kind of phenomenon imo.

Won't make a difference to me, i would shoot a monk, priest or any other person regardless of his/her clothing if they pose a danger to me.

Depends on the hit locations and distances you were shot at or if either one or two swallows have to carry a coconut ...there are a lot of factors.

Wasn't the SP button removed because DayZ is supposed to be played in multiplayer? I'm sorry for the guys who wither can't afford a decent internet or don't have the option at all or travel around and want to play...but you can't change a whole game to something you didn't want it to be only because a few can't play it. And i wonder what will happen when the SA comes out...will the mission still be legally modifiable? I mean BIS owns the rights to the game and can do whatevwer they want and shut down everyone who uses the name to ride on the popularity wave...

More options for vehicles(Standalone) -- 4x4, Cruise Control, etc

If they add keys that would make sense, but if you get shot and nobody takes the keys and it despawns...no more access to you precious gear other than breaking in, right? A lot of the stuff above makes sense if the actual vehicle modern enough to have it. I doubt a Lada has airbags or a car alarm, at least i imagine Chernarus to be a place where you could keep your door unlocked. -
And the fact that auto pistol cartridges suddenly have rims...or vice versa. There are too many compromises in the game but let's take it this way...it is still a game but a bit of logic would be great.

PC gaming is a hobby...giving money away for it makes no sense...if you don't want to spend the money then you should "go console" with their expensive games.
