This will backfire a bit...imagine if you kill a player while he is using his tent and it disappears...very disappointing isn't it? Let is disappear at restart but not immediatly. -

This makes different bullet types important. A simple slug could stay there if not in a harmful place as long as the wound is taken care of ( bandaged or stiched ) but the pieces of a fragmenting/fragmented round that causes a lot of tissue damage would have to be removed. Would make gunshots with 5.56 and 5.54 a lot more dangerous/annoying since a lot of players seem to use that caliber in the game and they are said to do this kind of damage.

A simple or temporary solution might be a wind meter / wind hose. Didn't they want to change sounds depending on where the sound comes from and how strong it blows? -
It's a problem of the script. It detects you are in the water but not that you are in a boat...i though they already changed that.

You know that point of aim isn't point of impact? If you aimed "almost" point blank and aimed at the nose you have a high probability of not hitting it due to the offset of barrel and aiming device. Blood system is already altered for the better. -

Well let's say both need a different type of skill. But if one sucks at CoD then you are a bad player... CoD has absolutly no ballistics whatsoever, less realistic movement ( i say bunny hopping and dolphin diving plus the perks that allow you to shoot through 10 walls ) and you only need fast reflexes. Without skill reflexes only don't help you at all in ArmA. And bullet drop as well as wind would already affect a bullet's trajectory way before it would reach the 400m mark.

Server lag and prolly the death lag that is in the game since some patch... And please don't compare ArmA to any of those modern Military shooters even if they are fun to play if you turn off logic... Shooting in ArmA 2 is not point and click "CoD and BFstyle".

Still doesn't change the fact that unlike in the US a lot of old buildings like that still around in Europe/East Europe that are from that time. There are still a lot of soviet style living blocs around in former East Germany which will not go away that fast as you might think along with modern or modernized buildings. But in rural areas you will find a lot of "old style" buildings from the cold war. We even have buildings in West Germany from the time ( 1960s ) where a similar style of building was popluar.

While we are at it add autoaim deadzone, X for jump, Y for duck etc... -
Shooting the weapon out of someones hand = too gamey / hollywoodish. But the probabilty of dropping your gun when hit in the arm would be ok. Not that it's impossible because i know that video, too. But not with an aimed shot in the heat of battle...

Well we can all agree that most movies are pretty unrealistic. If it were realistic more than half of the audience would either faint or puke when heads pop and limbs are torn off like in "The Pacific" or "Saving Private Ryan" when they are hit by bullets...Everything else falls under Hollywood Myth.

Of course...that thing is still a blunt object. Of course if you hit the right place it will make a difference. That stuff won't get stuck in you unless maybe you fire it from point blank.

A permanent and even a temporary meeting place/camp would just be an asshole magnet. 99% of the player base would just try to attack it for the fun of disrupting gameplay/roleplay compared to the 99% IRL who would use that place to trade and do social things because their actions would have consequences. If we would have the same in game behaviour IRL we would have compounds the size of huge jails to protect the people from the criminal outside world just like we already have in certain areas where the crime rate is pretty high.

Sure it sucks but you can't blame or change the a game because of bad internet, almost every game now is "online". And as i stated the majority of players are rather the "shoot, miss and DC after 30s to avoid having to fight further/or have zombies up their ass because they suck at shooting" type than the ones losing connection...

Oh yeah and i forgot...what stops the players from avoiding fog/day fog/night servers like they do now? It's basically the same..."no visibility". A nice feature which will likely be frowned upon by softcore players.

I wouldn't distinguish between survivor and bandit, throw everyone in the same pot. Whoever starts a fight either has to finish what he started or has must escape to a certain distance ( 500-1000m ) from where he shot first in able to log out. When a player shoots then he/she/it has to have enough distance from the point where he/she/it shot ( can be detected be script ) in order to disengage hostilities. Maybe the devs can add a timer when the player does the alt-f4 or crtl-alt-del trick the character dies. Losing connection during a fight is less likely to happen so i don't think players beeing "punished who lose connection due to bad internet" will not happen that often.

People who frequently switch names to avoid rage don't have balls. Imo the kill message should be removed anyway...

Day 1 : "I was killed by a bandit" Day 2 : "I was killed by a bandit" Day 3 : "Walked 10m, was killed by a bandit" Day 4 : "Was eaten by a zombie and killed by a bandit in passing" or Day 1 : "Killed a bambi" Day 2 : "Killed two bambis" Day 3 : "Killed twelve bambis"
