Sometimes you have to take the game a bit more serious even if your avatar doesn't need to rest you can use the break to "rest" yourself. I know it's difficult if one is used to playing Battlefield or CoD where stamina doesn't matter and you can jump 3m high and as far as 10m in full sprint and do the dolphin dive or bunyn hop every second to evade bullets. And there is no need to rush, you will only be seen quicker. And running towards your goal doesn't guarantee that you will find loot. -

There is one major flaw in this idea. Players should be bound to a server for their entire avatars life or else it will not work really well. If they constantly jump servers who knows where they will be next? You have to give the pursuers a chance to get the guy, too. -
Edged weapons are a bit overhyped since they are the "cool" hollywood weapons. If you don't know what you are doing you are more likely just cutting up your victim in minutes rather than killing him in seconds if you are not dead already because your opponent could draw a firearm. Throwing a knife in a show at a more or less static target in a calm environment and throwing a knife in combat at a target that evades and blocks are two different things.

That's what some players causing grief to others thought when they were imprisoned in Sahrani Life...they played another game and waited until their penalty time was over, the admin changed the script so if they reconnect they still have to serve their sentence, after that a penalty was what it was supposed to be. Good old martial law would be good enough. Either take away their stuff and let them run, hang them, shoot them whatever. No need for a prison especially when there is no more working law system. -
Over time there will be an abundance of hardware, you can't prevent that. Let's just hope the rate of loss is greater than the respawn rate of said items.

You don't do a power sprint with 30kg of equipment in ACE in the first place. On every OP the limit was below 30kg, most players didn't even have 20kg on them and we were driving all the time. I buddy forgot that he had 60kg of .50 ammo on him and kept sprinting 10m wise between the gun and our vehicle when we were testing. He didn't stand up for a while. To most players collapsing after sprinting 1km with all the weapons and ammo isn't "natural" because they are used to the action shooters where it doesn't matter. -
"Private" is bollocks anyway since a group of servers from a provider still share the same hive...the same as public hive just in a smaller scale. While i agree with the empty server = more loot part they can only counter it that loot is bound to the amount of players.

Immersion...realism...call it what you want. With the ballistics, weather effects, sickness, wounds, hunger and thirst it's should be a given that they add a stamina system. And if you don't run around all the time and do it like you would IRL you will only need to take breaks every hour for maybe five minutes instead of breaking down from sprinting for five minutes and having to rest for an hour. -

Actually you are already running a bit faster( 20km/h ) than a person with equipment should be able to. Marathon runners have an average speed of 15-20 km/h and they don't carry anything around but themselves. Usain bolt runs almost 45km/ for 100m, i don't think he can hold it much longer since sprinters are trained for short distances with a high power output. The average what a normal DayZ character should be moving around 3-8km/h without taking the terrain and encumbrance into account. A person on drugs ( let's assume the virus has the same effect on a human liek drugs do ) would not bother how exhausted he is until he drops ( either dead or just unconsious ). So imagine a player with a full Czech backpack, an assault rifle and a pistol with a couple of mags already exhausted from carrying that stuff around, maybe even tired and thursty tries to run away from a "wild beast" ( meaning the zombie ) that was lurking near a house for hours and didn't really spend that much energy in the meantime. I sometimes use the "power of propulsion" the beans give me, i can even leap a couple of meters if i have some matches. I just don't do it too often since i burn my ass every time. -

Well notes like "Yay retards i found your camp and took it all" *LOL* would be left behind and is kind of a childish behaviour and would show the mental age of our players. If i found a camp and took all the stuff i wouldn't leave them a trace to follow. IRL because the "world" you live in is pretty small and most people stick to a region it would take some time but it's not impossible to find someone by asking around and showing the note, maybe someone knows of some person showing off his "loot" and recognize the hand writing. -

Well it should be obvious that they were either bitten or caught the virus another way... While the idea of finding personal effects could be fun 99% of the players couldn't care less about identifying who that zed was before he/she became a zed. Most encounters would rather go: "Oh, a zed". *BAMM* "wtf...no weapons or ammo? What a bummer." For the mod most just kill on sight anyway and move along, in the SA most would probably run around panicking where to find the next meal. -

Good ideas, most of them of already and hopefully implemented. And if you start a fight or do whatever you shouldn't do if you have a fresh wound that is stiched or large enough it should open up and you will bleed all over the place. -
The player also has the ability to run from 0-60 in 0.000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds.

http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Blood-Stains I would rather not get my stuff bloody, and you should be able to stay relativly clean if you gut an animal. I doubt these tips work when you just took a "blood bath". -
Something like a makeshift strecher you drag behind you ( you see those often in westerns attached to horses ) is a logical transportation device. A cart is fine but you need the parts and if you haul tons of ammo and AS50s with it it can easily break lol. Pushing a cart around on rough terrain can be challenging.

While target marking is fine this is not battlefield. We have a compass, a pair of eyes, a mouth and a brain to use and can easily call out directions and distances and don't need to rely on "radioactive twinkies". 99% of the time i play with people the conversations goes: "I see something..." "Where?" "To my left!" "Where is your left to my position? Tell compass directions or degrees, left can be anywhere." "..." "OMG are you stupid? Press the fucking button and tell me the damn direction" "ehm ehm.." Either we are dead by then or i ran into cover and he/they died. People have to learn the basics ecspecially if this is supposed to be a survival game and not an action shooter like you know what.

Well if you die IRL your stash won't be of any use to you anymore. So basically they either have to give you a cooldown time so you can't access your stash immediatly ( and some players hoard tons of weapons and go KoS after that ) or the stash really gets erased. Either way you die you lose. -

Teamwork proficiency...i wonder how you can become an elite teamworker...i bet not by lone wolfing. While i don't really get why you do better damage or whatever in a group like maybe in some other zombie action game but i would rather have something like less panicking in groups or similar. But no "extra damage" perks or "move faster" perk. While you do learn by doing some skills that do need expert knowledge shouldn't be learned that fast like surgery. Pulling a fragment out of the skin and bandaging it is a different thing than putting a leg together after it was hit by a high powered rifle bullet.

First peripheral dots have to go in any difficulty setting, then you don't need to hide it that much anymore because even blind players running in the woods relying exaclty on those dots to find things won't be helped anymore. Hiding a green camo in the woods where it's more brownish or between grey rocks is kind of stupid like playing them in plain view. -
I want a huge railgun on a battleship 5km away from Cherno and Elektro so i can level the town after each restart.

- Maps need years to be "built". It's not liek in CoD where there could toss a map every other week. Even if they used random map programs they still need a lot of fine tuning. - IMO helicopter crashes should't spawn, they should "happen" during gameplay. Imagine 50 players on the map, they see a helo that looks like it has problems ( smoke etc. ) Imagine the amount of players suddenly trying to follow said helo and wait until it goes down. - Events can't be done just like that, you would need to edit the mission in order to do so. But before releasing it you have to check for bugs. Every addition can jeopardize a mission if not checked and checked again. You can program it so it's already there but you can't trigger it from the outside and giving admins permission to trigger events is like having the fox guard henhouse. - Dynamic servers can't work since every party wants their own server to have at least a bit of control. Otherwise it would be good if multiple servers could manage up to 500 players to be on one single map. Would be pretty jammed..if only there where even bigger maps in the 50 x 50km range... -
Normally one would make a house livable and not build a competely new house ( shed/whatever ) from what was mentioned above it's a bandit magnet anyway. I would rather set up a temporary camp in a house then keep moving, of course they need to add an alternative to carrying around all your possessions ( it would be possible if every server had it's own hive instead of a public one, there won't be 1000 players visiting a server anyway so the memory usage should be acceptable ). Well that that incident happened looooong before you were born and we were rookies at that time... ;) It should take a lot of time and a lot more ressources, from what i heard it's difficult but managable by one person ( ok, it's only a shed )...not that i could ever build a normal "house" all alone ( house meaning the smallest possible house you find in Chernarus that you can call a house and not a dog house.
