Someone shooting another right next to him is not banditry, that choice of word like the word zombie for the infected is so wrong and misleading imo. Let's juts put everything that involves homicide without reason into two words: "stupid KoS"

I'm not against people trying to create something they want. But there are a lot of half assed mods for ArmA.

I don't know where you live but you wouldn't want to imagine how poor some parts of a country can be...Its not like they can't afford their daily bread but that's almost everything they could afford. It's not like in the industrial countries where most people have a 40 hour week, a steady income and paid vacation.

Yeah but they should make it from scratch rather than building on a buggy basis imo. Although the game was really great i didn't really like the engine because it was also clunky as ArmA imo and i would like to see it with a better engine than the current RV engine or at least with another game as a basis. You know yourself how awkward looking melee is and if the guys who made the engine can't really make melee work properly ( what i saw in the vids didn't really convince me because it looked the same just faster but it's a lot better than what the mod offers ) will amateurs be able to alter the engine to do so?

And with which money would a Chernarussian citizen be able to purchase such a vehicle or waste that money on a specialized vehicle when they can usually afford something up to a "Rolf"? Oh yes and with the lack of fuel and spare parts it's a matter of time until people rely on the most reliable means of transportation...their own feet. If you would see a vehicle in such an area it would likely be a Ranger or a Sportsman.

It would still be the same engine..so adding stuff over and over can only break it. I wouldn't expect too much from them if you have already experienced what they were capable of in ArmA. The only thing that might work in the SAs favor is that a lot of unnecessary stuff is left out so less stress but a lot of stuff is added via script in exchange...so let's see if they finally found someone who can write a good script to manage that amount of players on a server, the loot, the zombies, the connection to the hive and still run on todays hardware.

If you hit a solid wall the solid wall wins, a lot of stuff in the hollywood movies are fake. A crash against something that remotely stops your vehicle from 30km/h can snap your neck. My avatar is a good example. -
Why would they want to mod a former mod and not make it themselves? Trying to ride on the wave of success eh? >:(

And i must add if you see it flashing for about 10 to 15 times a a second you might want to take cover because that's someone shooting at you :lol:

I wouldn't mind having to carry around a 5 shot bolt action rifle or an AK frequently lacking ammo or even any kind of shotgun which would probably be best for untrained shooters if they manage to put the focus in the SA on survival rather than pvp. I don't count playing airsoft, paintball or any kind of survival game where weapons or replicas are involved as training although it might help in weapon handling or if you have ever stripped a GBB pistol or rifle.

That's a normal ArmA bug...it's about 12yo. Nothing new actually. And with 1000000 different DayZ versions it's impossible to find the problem...that's why i hope they forbid addons, mods and alternative versions until they either have everything under control which will take at least a year of even forever ( DayZ has a small team and BIS already needed years to make OFP run smooth, as well as ArmA 1...and ArmA 2...ArmA 3 is chaos right now...i wonder why they released it in the first place ).

Would be a good way to have players think of anything else but shooting but also about the survial factor. In this case it could be seen as a way to preserve your health. Having malnutrition is a source of illness and it can also affect anything else in your body. Having at least one decent tasting meal a day could be made to affect your stamina and psyche but i wouldn't give a player hitpoints or any healing advantage only because he ate something else that beans with...beans.

Maybe, maybe not. You don't recieve a surgery on the spot if half your face is missing but what's the most important is having someone who can perform first aid in the first minutes. I doubt WW1 vets got that luxury and still there were victims able to survive with the lack of high tech medical equipment. That added with the danger of having to run around for a couple of days or maybe a week or two to let an in game wound heal and not beeing able to perform 100% or maybe dying from the after effects like bleeding to death or infection due to the lack of antibiotics could have the potential to stop indiscrimitae shooting because both sides ( mainly the attacker side and i'm adressing the KoS players ) always have to fear beeing wounded and having to deal with the after effects like wound treatment and healing which is not just putting a band-aid or a bandage and it's all ok like in the action movies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballistic_trauma

ORLY...but i don't think that is still news... Not the weapons need the buff...the hitpoints system was replaced by the blood system which gave a player 3x the "hitpoints" the models actually had. That's is the one fault in DayZ but afaik they already adressed that by splitting blood into health, hunger and hitpoints. Not really there are enough contemporary witnesses that prove otherwise. A couple miss parts of their skull or even the brain. In my brother in laws fathers case who served as a german tanker in WW2 he got hit just above the frontal bone it more or less grazed him but left a dent as deep as an average finger is in diameter. So in your terms he should be dead...

Maybe if they added it to their EULA...you could practically do everything with it if you don't over do it. Haha....some kid would be playing and then you would hear a female voice: "John baby, bring out the trash!" :lol: Or "Didn't i say no computer until you cleaned your room?!?!?! *slap*" :lol: :lol: :lol:

This is quite OT but let me explain because you didn't catch up the first time. During training all your skill in marksmanship and training goes down the drain if you lose your nerve. Shotting paper targets and live targets are two different things. Even the loudest and proudest guy in your squad can turn into the pipsqueek hiding in the deepest foxhole he an find when the lead starts flying. Got it now? It's the psychological thing i was referring to. I wonder how one would morse that or f.e. cyrillic :lol:

LOL i would like to someone with non linked 200rounds of 5.56mm in a M249 100rounds of 7.62x54 in a PKM trying to manually load every round into the chamber...i bet they would toss it and get the nearest double barrel because it's a hassle :lol:

Yeah this is not RL afterall. You can do pretty much everything in game when it's coded...while i might have problem shooting people IRL beyond 100m with a rifle or even hesitate because "it's not a game" and has consequences others claim that they would turn badass overnight and kill everyone in sight. Those would probably be the ones wetting their pants and crying mommy when they are cornered by a single unarmed person.

Would be great if the game blocked all other internet programs or if it was in the EULA that you shall not use anything else than what the game provides...hardcore :D ^_^ ;)

Well i was referring to the guy who suddenly started shooting at the chest of that big ass super zombie although he was doing headshots with those human sized ones before. I forgot to mention that the head of that super zombie was as big as the chest of the human sized one...so why did he switch to another bod ypart although the target was the same size? Damn script had to make them look bad so the main heroine could shine.

If they actually add a mil based zeroing system to foreign rifles instead of 100-200-300-400 it would be good. People would have either learn the system or do some on the fly corrections if they want to squeeze off some quick follow up shots. This would favor fixed zoom rifles and rifles using a metric setup like the PSO scope i mentioned above. -
More Powerfull Admin Tools for restoring players killed by hackers or known bugs

There shouldn't be hacking in the first place, even less an admin with tools. With Steam accounts bound to the game i hope people think twice before thinking of using cheats. -

But in Chernarus they would be named Ivanovic and Petrov. Too bad there isn't much variation in human beeings except male and female... The more tissue the more damage a bullet could potentially do, it's not like in Resident Evil where they shoot through 10 zombies with a .50 and with that 3m tall superzombie the bullet fails to penetrate the sternum...oh yeah if you watched correctly i think it was in the first part with those S.T.A.R.S officers. That guy with the sniper on the roof gave those zombies headshots but then that huge minigun zombie came he started shooting it in the chest....wtf why?
