Dragging is a good option, carrying also works in ArmA. But...if you have to fight and leave a big mess behind you already made a mistake...you weren't stealthy enough, you drew attention, you leave a trail...you deserve to be caught with your pants down :P You can't use the virus...we are immune. A corpse usually won't do you any harm unless you "play" with it. -
I don't think he removed the single player and editor button by accident...

Although it might add some atmosphere to the game it's one of those "unnecessaries" for DayZ even if it is 10x more reasonable than an aircraft carrier in front of Cherno. I wouldn't think there would be that much corpses lying around since a lot seem to been the victim to a rabies like virus that makes them go crazy, maybe the people "went zombie" after the incubation time was over and they were exposed at almost the same time, maybe a rabid dog shat into a potato field and the farmers made some contaminated wodka and they all got it from there. -
I don't think so since the mag class only has 30 rounds, ArmA is very static and clunky in every case ( see zombie anomations f.e. even if they wanted to the animations will never be like L4D or Dead Island ). And my post was about them having to add more and more data for minor details and talking about weapons...about 10 times as there are players?

Removing near invulnerability from zombies while running

They could have done it so that the zeds damage everything from 0-360° but if that were the case f.e. everything in front of the zed = 180° many would whine why zeds hit them almost every time. The current system is pretty stupid, i wonder why they didn't give the zeds the radius of the axe ( at least i feel the axe has a spread out attack zone ). -
Although it's just minor details i think this would add a lot of data to the game. How many weapons are we talking about?

That can be countered with a script...did the player shoot at you or into your direction? Of course it's not 100% waterproof but it's better than having no check at all. It's reasonable, your suggestion clearly isn't.

That problem isn't called banditry, it's called wantonmurder, shooting unsuspecting players without reason or provocation. The reasons these players give are so pathetic as themselves like : "He could be a threat to me later" "He was too close to me, so i shot him...from 1000m away" "Don't let that newspawn get any gear so let's make him start over and over again..." "HAHA KILLS KILLS KILLS!!!". Instead of punishing them with flies i would make it an addiction. If they reach a certain player killcount like 5 players f.e. they have to kill X amount of players per hour or else they will have withdrawal symptoms like shaky hands, blurry vision etc. and they get really tense and to give them a chance to become a normal player again they have to endure at least 2 hours per kill of not injuring/killing players to get rid of those symptoms. Make them regret what they do like RL murderers claim they do and give them a chance to rehabilitate.

The ArmA system work with friction depending on the surface you travel on. Pretty stupid imo since it will decrease your throttle to zero when you try to drive up a slope and turn your steering wheel - gas is taken away which is due to the stupid AI that would otherwise slide off the road in curves if they are not slowed down when steering.

Smaller castles and towers like those on the map would fit such a region much more imo. In Rhineland Palatinate we have a lot of of those small castles and watchtowers.

I like to imagine the DayZ zeds falling for a trick like the ones in the scene in TWD where they fooled them with "dead meat". At distance zeds rely on their vision, how does the target move? If it was possible to "walk like a zed" i think you can fool them, maybe they might still be interested in you and move towards you. If they still don't identify you they might want to get much closer and smell you, if you smell nice...bad for you lol.

Smell and sound can be carried over long distances compared to air, that's a major difference. Another difference is that water is a fluid and the molecules are dissolved in water and that predators like the shark are specialized in "looking" just for that that, it's not like you dive into bloody water and it smells the same as in a slaughterhouse. Land predators on the other hand usually track your odor trail, they can't smell you in the air unless you really didn't bathe and the wind is blowing their way. Even if people went rabid their sense of smell won't change.

You need to make your own safezone, unfortunately any kind of safezone tends to attract you know who.

Because of what's written below... But what if the guy has ammo for that weapon? Zat poor KoZer would get his azz whooped... This is cleary a KoS Kiddie mentality thingee idea...There would be more people opposing this idea than people supporting it due to mental health reasons. :rolleyes: But i would gladly take every firing pin out of every military grade weapon, throw it somewhere never to be found and be happy for every KoSer who picked it up and tried to fire it.

What would you find in a pile of junk...be more specific. What do you usually find in your garbage can at home, would it be useful? How big are the chances... An AS50TWS perhaps? -
Is it happening when you turn ormove around? Could be your HDD in this case because it either is fragmented too much or just doesn't send enough data. Some players don't experience these problems at all with HDDs, a new install makes everything run smooth. A SSD with a high data transfer rate is one possible solution. When i stiwched from HDD to SDD it was different as day and night.

I think the 800 volt PSU is frying your system. I would switch to one with 800 watt. ;) jk The bottleneck would be you pcu as creature said, is that thing really already 3yo? Mounting racing tires on a 40hp mini won't make it run 300km/h. ArmA is a weird game anyway, a state of the art GPU and CPU is no guarantee for fluid performance.

Because every KoSer wants a weapon in every enterable room? Almost every suggestion about something new ends up having weapons stashed in some corner.

I think he simply meant a quarantine room and didn't find the right word. Generators are normally used as a temporary measure in case of a black out. I doubt many hospitals have enough fuel to generate power for more than two days, and in case of a major outbreak like in DayZ i doubt there will be anyone left to fill it up regularly. A DayZ aftermath hospital is the last place i want to be with all those germs and humidity and whatever stuff growing there over time if it looks like the hospital in the first episode of TWD. Either a mask or better a biohazard suit.

How to do the Bandit / Hero System in Standalone

We don't really need a bandit skin let alone a hero skin since or any kind of system imo as a lot already know can be obtained by abusing the system ( playing a bandit doc gets you a hero skin although you play as part of a bandit group, saving players by killing others will give you a bandit skin although you had good intentions etc. ). Dress as you like, your behaviour will be judged accordingly. Applejacx already brought it to the point. You can't counter everything with scripts. -

Could you please fix the ignite tent function? It's too easy to do it by accident, gear and ignite tent are too close together or remove and find another way? -
