If i have to shoot fast in the game i usually shoot without aim at points blank and even beyond that distance. Unlike other FPS where you aim is artificially spread so you don't hit while bunny hopping you hit where your gun is pointing in ArmA. It's quite easy to hit the center of the back wall in those small 5-6 room barracks of you stand in the entrance.

You don't break you arm upon usage and if your stature allows it you can even shoot it standing. It's said to have the kick of a shotgun, the only difference is you can't wield it like a 4kg rifle, it's more like weilding a long thick stick in front of you and trying to get control over it. Not good for fast target acquisition.

There is always a disadvantage over an advantage. While the smaller caliber rifles do more damage through tumbling or even breaking in the body the bigger calibers go straight through but still have a lot more power at longer distances and compared to smaller calibers still have penetration capability. And tumbling or not, if a bullet goes straight through your grey cells or anything vital it's still deadly, tumbling was not designed into the bullets it was discovered. And a bullet doesn't ricochet 100 times in your body like in a pinball game. Stopping power is a myth, if you want stopping power get a bat. -
No need for preventing or blocking another item only because you carry a big gun. A weight, stamina and encumbrance system would suffice. They don't have those slings for nothing because hauling a 4kg rifle is already pretty tiring even if you carried it on your shoulder or cradle it in your arm John Wayne style...now imagine you had to hold a .50 for 15 minutes while jogging from Cherno to Elektro ( it's 14kg for the rifle and 1,5kg for a full mag )... ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain. In A.C.E. we were told not to carry more than 25kg of equipment ( rifle, sidearm, grenades, medkits, small equipment ) if we were to fight most of the time...for known reasons.

Brits were never there, they were in Takistan. The USMC force recon teams played the major role in the campaign, so far nobody from razor team carried a .50 and i would bet my money neither did the other spec ops teams.

it would take some time until it takes effect though. For game purposes the time should be decreased to have an impact. I would be surprised if everyone was well fed in a time of scarcity. They would look almost like the fugitives you see on TV. Not hungered to the bone but noticable hollow cheeks and such things. -

I wonder how you would have to do that...a border station perhaps? Locations like this would attract lots of KoS players who would gladly shoot an unsuspecting player who just wants to migrate to another server. A big map would really be better since you never know what happens when a player reaches the border and connects to a server that is currently restarting... -

Maybe you could link players behaviour rather than the days lived with how you will spawn the next time. A normal player would not die twice a day so let's say you have two free lives a day without beeing affected. The normal player would normally go out of trouble and try not to die while the KoS player would run to the next gunshot he hears or the last position he died to get his gear and continue. Here comes the educational measure encouragement to play more normally..if you happen to die more than that you spawn in bad condition and the more you die during the day the worse your condition is when you spawn, not only would it occupy the player but also his comrades to treat him in case he has some. Kind of like the 5.56 wounds binds soldiers to carry their friends equipment. Having to do the same would keep him and his mates from KoSing for a while. This would also affect players who suidice by zombie on a bad spawn location. It resets every 24h. You can never raise the value of virtual life bacause it's just "virtual"? Who cares if you can just respawn. -

Long wall of text...while i'd love an epic world where you have lots of room between yourself and the next KoS player but i doubt many would want to play since it would be like playing alone on a server most of the time. It would be good though if Chernarus was expanded to use the whole space you see when you zoom out, imagine the distance... You don't happen to have stumbled over the term half gaia project...could be coincidence but who knows. -
Kind of like between the 5.56 and .223 pressure wise or is it more a mechanical issue? When they introduce weight and stamina i'll give you TWO! If that takes too long for you ask your dad if he pays rocket a couple of dollars, maybe he will make you a custom avatar with your face and body measurements and maybe even throw in akimbo M107TWS/AS50TWS with 100 rounds box mags for the lolz on every single respawn.

You don't consider that the guy who made the loot table might have been a western weapons fanboy? There are a ton of eastern bloc weapons in ArmA incl. all it's DLCs. At least enough to not make the mod look like DayZUSA. I have only found three assaut rifles so far but at least triple the amount of US assault rifles. If you farmed for weapons it was even worse.

Ultra rare like M4, M9, smoke grenades, food supplies < it's pretty funny nobody mentions that they chould also have MREs on board - it's just weapons weapons weapons....bah i'm ranting again...better go offline. Actually the miniguns on those UH-1s should be salvagable or at least the 3000 rounds of ammo they carry. And you could attach the FFARs on your Skoda and propel yourself down the coastal road up to Berezino or like ...just don't forget the parachute. Chernarus doesn't have NATO equipment...why do you confuse C-130 with Antonovs and Chinooks with Mi-8/17?

A book is no guarantee that you will be able to do whats written in there. Check oil or coolant, yes. Taking an engine apart and putting it back together? Not so sure..Let's say simple things yes, complex things like flying or even maintaining military hardware without proper training/background or a really really long time of failed attempts to do so...NO. -

Not if you have chronic ammo shortage... And because of the lack of survival instinct they attack head on, they won't waver and try to get to you no matter how they have to, even if they lose their legs. The only thing that will stop them is a bullet or something massive. -
Those are good...two literally came down on top of me in a 15 minute timeframe...but animated seems misleading..shouldn't it be dynamic?

A predator doesn't zigzag if it attacks you, it goes a straight line...their prey does. -
I think you can both stop now...he should know by now that the setting is in "Russia". I do hope that the devs also considered this in the SA and don't spam the world with magpul products.

It is true that they are kind of useless if an underage lets mommy buy a A rated game. You'd have to have a system where you need an electronic ID like f.e. in the 5th Element where you stick it into a device you would use for online banking. Of course you can bypass it by just using daddies ID but here i come the point: online impersonation...

We don't really need admins since the servers can do everything in auto-mode ( and i hope they consider doing it that way so admins don't mess with the settings ) and the database is already connected to rockets pc, so if he sees someone hacking he just presses a button...
