If you watched the development of the mod you would realize that melee was never part of the game. It was added "using" a very short range weapon. They will eventually add a "push and shove" function to the SA, i wouldn't add it in the mod if i was rocket, that would give away his advantages he would have over the mod, so noone would actually buy the SA. And i don't recall having survival kits as basic equipment in caes...maybe a first aid kit. And Walmart doesn't exist in Chernarus..a petrol lamp would be more authentic to this region. :P

Everything is right except the looking around corner part. The AI doesn't "cheat" like a player would do in this case.

You know that most stuff is pure luxury. Go camping and try to create a gourmet meal...minimal but rich food is key.

Roleplaying a KoS Bandit is the easy way...but honestly...you were an idiot for telling where you were. Same as with Sahrani Life...shooting others and claiming to be a murderer roleplayng was a main problem on the servers. But there were also some problems with cop players shooting others just for fun because they thought it was meant to be played this way ( "We have guns so why don't we just shoot them?" ), luckily i was part of a very active admin team. Then whining about beeing shot to death with return fire or locked up for too long although they knew what was coming when we arrested them... :lol:

Somehow reminds me of one guy in our group...always shooting first without thinking and running away first.

I found maybe two. In the group not much more...With most player corpses having a .50 stashed somewhere in the backpack or rather always packing the best available weapons ( M4, DMR mostly ) i always doubted they were legit. Rangefinders and GPS were easier to find.

They are much closer than 50 years ago, there will always be an average. There will also be 6" women and 5" guys around. Maybe in your country...if the world would do exactly that there would be no more child birth. You should go out once in a while and look what kind of people are on the streets and not just in the gym.

Is anyone skilled enough to make a browser based choice by choice program where you just put in your specs and it tells you if you can run it? A mod could make it sticky.

While i support the idea of having it easier to grab stuff from the ground you can't grab a rifle with 5 mags in an instant so everything should come at a cost. Btw. i don't have problems grabbing stuff while i'm pretending to be meals on heels.

Survival of the fittest doesn't mean the one with the most muscle mass... The choice of words in this case is very wrong. It should mean the survival of the most adaptable. Otherwise humans would have gone extinct by now considering they are one of the weakest mammals.

Nowadays the chances of encountering any kind of Kalashnikov variant in any other state than the US or western country are significantly higher than finding western weapons. Even if people living in those regions could get their hands on a accurate weapon like an Armalite variant they would still choose former due to logistical reasons. No use in favoring a firearm over another that practically lies everywhere with ammo and spare parts to in abundance. Spec op teams don't use OPFOR weapons for no reason even if they had the choice between those and the weapons of their army when in hostile territory, it has logistical and tactical advantages and they can grab it from every dead body. Really old guns are more likely to be found somewhere in Africa where they wage clan wars. It was even reported that some Warlord had a T-34, obsolete tech in our eyes but by their standards it's high tech and they don't spam RPGs like we do in games.

Just grab all the pbos and place them into a folder and load them as mod...can't be that difficult. Then you can play with all the things as long as you want. No need for an editor.

You should have taken your time to read through the forums since you never played the mod...it about the 3rd time most of those ideas were posted.

Initially a good idea...but how do you intend to hunt down a person who has the ability to jump from server to server...? Any thoughts about that? I haven't heard that the SA will prevent server hopping and loot farming ( yet ). One way is of course to make the gear persistent to the server it was looted.

Give them 5 years so they can come up with a 50 x 50 km island or just grab someone who ports every single island into one map of course keeping a realistic geographic placement in mind.
