    In the storyline the "main force" of the US only liberated Utes, they never set foot on the main land, only Team razor did. Chernarus was already under soviet puppet command at that time. There are different endings but every one of them ends with the main US forces not beeing involved in the fight, just the locals and Team Razor. UN forces were deployed in the end but if you apply RL to Chernarus you will often enough have badly trained ill equipped forces over there. That's why a lot of players oppose the idea of having the amount of western weapons in Chernarus as it is now in DayZ if you use this as a background for Chernarus before the outbreak.

    That's the fun in "close combat" you can hit eachother. Having an axe or crowbar doesn't automatically hold them of a distance.

    And i thought you were frustrated because of the "unrealistic weapon loadout" in the truck... I'm currently testing the game on a buddys server. I never really had the need to "gear up" even if i had a ton of players on the server. Just shot one or the other AI group so far...quite funny how 7 AI hop out of an UAZ just because you ram it :lol: But that's not the main event for me anyway.

    If you have to manage the raw materials maybe yes...but with "just turn it on and replicate AS50 TWS or a Mi-24 out of thin air"...NO Nobody will bring you the small amounts you need to produce things through a country/countries populated with zeds...risk/reward factor too low.

    20-37mm!!!!! No penetration just *SPLAT* While realistic the chances for such hollywood trickshots are often just slim...you never know in which direction the bullet will be deflected while travelling through the body, the greater the distance between the targets the lower the chance for a mmmmmmultikillkillkill...

    You mean knowing where you are going to spawn and all? That's the big surprise when spawning..."where am i?" it would have been better if they even removed to location in the lower right corner but a lot of people who have slow computers don't even see that feature anyway since it's already gone when they can finally see their surroundings. Yeah yeah "i don't have time to look where i am". DayZ isn't a two rounds in thirty minutes fragest like CoD...just saying...take you time, i don't know how people can have fun in something they do without putting in some effort.

    Doesn't the vision only blur when you have post processing on? I've reluctantly tried Epoch and i must say apart from the traders i'm really excited about the crafting system which takes a felt 3x longer and even longer when chopping a tree. I hope they add time comsumption depending on the task even if it's just the same animation and sound.

    Use JSRS sound mod, too bad 99.9% of the server admins only know how to add tons of starting gear, 24/7 day and more weapons but don't or don't know how to add the keys. :(

    Respawn Timer

    The ones who would benefit the most are the KoSers since it makes no difference, they loot new gear and look for victims on the other server. It wouldn't be good for team players. It's up to them if they want to play it safe, nobody wants to play in a group with lone wolves who only care for their kills or themselves so teams with non team playing members will sort them out themselves.

    Got raped whilst sniping.

    The stack and other high objects are death traps...a lot of guys DCed on our group when they thought we wouldn't look up when shot at... Sticking to one position for too long is a fatal mistake every "sniper" makes ( beeing able to stick to one position is a luxury if you have teammates you can trust 101% ) or wiggling too much on the spot also gives your position away. You are already with one foot in the grave when sniping alone over huge distances since you can't possibly cover that much area alone especially with 3P where one of the victims can spot you from behind cover. Good call not to loot the body though, that's the most common mistake a player does when he sees the other guys friends run away.

    Sadly the door thingie is a collision related problem ( same with zeds attacking through walls *cough* ). It can happen with everything swung at you like f.e. a barrier of some sort going through you when a player swings it around in wasteland killing you in the process or as a normal example every other gate in the game, even the door of the toilet does that and if you try to turn in a corridor that is not as wide as you are tall, yes it's stupid but that usually happens when you try to pull a stick through an opening that is smaller...it snaps. Hell if i ever stopped playing games because of the bugs i would have sold my PC already...there are a lot more bugs, glitches and whatever in games where the area you can use is 100 times smaller than in ArmA. Get a grip, plan your moves and these things will nearly not happen to you anymore. When you got Mike Tysoned were you already hurt pretty bad and i assume you were out of breath? I watched carefully and saw that this happened when these conditions were met. The 10m hit was prolly lag from your connection or the server if you play on "100 player, tons of loot" servers.

    Gear Giving - Does it ruin your experience?

    I actually try not to leave anything behind especially weapons because i know what people do with it. If i can't take the weapon i at least take the ammo away or take the 10 secs it takes me to put it in a "safe" place. I leave something f.e. an empty can behind so nothing spawns there until the stash is emptied.

    In the end it's just someone whining around like the princess on the pea...the old players from the OFP times are either stupid to not say anything or the young kids are just spoiled because i have not heard a lot of complaints during those days.

    I think it's from the weapon packs and not from the mods of the mod themselves...but some might still be better than vanilla. JSRS rulz. No need to ask the devs to do something they never intended to, they should just give some keys to the sound modders so they are legal by the game.

    Will dayz sa succeed or fail

    Well Drifter this is the mod they are playing...the SA will/should be completely different and not a "full gear up your ass out of the mouth fragfest". The mod is far away from what DayZ used to be. There are still some servers that try to hunger you out but you only need to look at the player count/week to see which server players favor. I doubt it will be successfull with all the pansies playing on those servers. Prolly 10% of those players will buy it just to test it then kick it in a corner unless they can have their full gear on spawn back.

    Blocking someone is bad Karma...but for one...how about when you get killed either by zed or player there is a possibility that a zed will drag ( there is an animation for that ) your body around for maybe a random time to a random location inside a 1000m circle. Let's say this zombie wants to eat in peace therefor dragging the body to a random location like some mammals do with their food ( doesn't always have to be a carnivore ). Could be a realistic behaviour. This could prevent players from knowing the exact position of their corpse of course unless they have friends guarding it. Would be funny to run to the location and having to search your gear.
  22. I think when i have the chance i'll give a palyer a gun then shoot him the moment he takes it...i guess he became a threat would be my answer??? Absolutely logical considering every player you come across plays like a dick they deserve to be slapped like one preemptively...

    Depends if it's full or not...the burn house down idea is pretty neat but i would see the player beeing cornered rather DCing than staying there and waiting to become a roast beef...

    They should add a min distance where you can spawn from where you died. Won't stop you from getting your gear back but it's a beginning...
