Pretty much...it's good that tehy have a set of rules you have to follow but still allowing blacklisted servers on the other hand is kind of stupid since you can do what you want there...

Useless weapon it would hurt more hurling full buckets of paint at the enemy than shooting those tiny balls... :lol: jk what would that weapon be usefull for other than torturing bambies you have tied to a tree beforehand? Because you wouldn't be able to capture them with that if they have a hatchet or a blade.

Missions...? No...this isn't that kind of game where you go out and kill 1000 zeds to get a DMR. Repairing a power plant is less likely to happen than a survivor using a power generator of a smaller kind which is easier to maintain and to keep working. I know a lot of people just think that electricity comes out of the socket but it needs a lot more stuff than that. Why else are there people working in shifts to keep the plant running and people that keep the power lines in good condition? That alone would keep a large group of players occupied 24/7 in game if you don't want the power to go down ever if you wanted to make it even close to real. And imo making secured permanent residentials is kind of nonsense since you can hop into closed locations from any server if you wanted to. This would only work on single hive servers.

That pic in the first post is still hands holding kindergarden stuff imo...if you want to show chaos and lawlessness post some pics of the black continent...but that would be too much gore.

Sometimes they are just too old even if some are still available or used. Even in Africa where there are still a lot of StG44 or WW2 tanks they are more of a rarity than common, the market is just too flooded with AKs and RPGs which brings us back to western weapons in Chernarus. You have to consider the shifing of equipment on a global scale. Industrial nation A gets new gear and sells the old gear to lower economy country B, country B sells their old gear to third world country C and so on.

I only know of America leasing weapons and equipment to Russia and GB but that the Brits gave away their Enfields is news to me and i can't find any info about it or maybe the amount given is so small it wasn't worth mentioning? Or did you mean the old muskets?

99% of all player namely the KoSers/dead KoSers and their victims won't live long enough to upgrade the first skill anyway so it would be a huge waste of time imo.

Any version of thr mod can ruin the experience. Having an economy like in Epoch was basically a good idea but with the abundancy in-game you could get rich and bored in a matter of hours. If you had to blame somebody it had to be the server host since he can adjust the loot according to the desired difficulty. But you always risk to lose players if they can't handle the difficulty.

@Devildog Yeah 2000 Marines vs 10000 soldiers and like 99% of all weapons in the region are western...do the math...somethings not right. @Gews Exactly: NO BRAIN(er) in some folks cases...it's like the MEU did a clearance sale when they got there.

There is basically no difference than military beeing cool and a must have for the wannabe bambi killers and maybe the capability of engaging targets better with the usual military scopes. It's also the fact that every rifle with a magification scope is a "sniper rifle" in noob terms that gives them a bad reputation compared to hunting rifles that are more "civilian"? You can also use a hunting rifle to shoot other players but juding by the name "hunting rifle" it is primarily used to hunt game IRL and not to KoS. So generally military sniper rifles are "bad" and used for "bad things"...same goes for any kind of military or military type civilian rifle.

Well you have "all day" to play if you don't have the luxury or time to choose when you play don't blame the game. If you can only play at times when the servers have dawn or night time it's quite the same as playing any other mp shooter so late at night that no other players at online. The solution with the not 24h day cycle would be one of the best solutions compared to a 4h day cycle since you still have almost a day in game and get to play at different daytimes even when you log in in the evening IRL ( like a shift of 4h every day for a 20h in game day ).

Eating the amounts you do in game should make you even more "sick" that give you back "blood/health". Everyone who doesn't know should eat until they are stuffed and then some more.

One problem...the Czechs, Brits, US Army, Takistan Army and NATO/UNO came with the OA expansion that came with Takistan...somehow a few german soldiers got lost in there, too. What would "post-soviet" mean then? Mail to russia or what? Chernarus was a USMC, CDF, Russia, ChDKZ, NAPA thingie...the "war" was a civil war involving a couple of US forces of which team razor did most of the job and not the entire united states, the fight was mostly among the CDF and the insurgents that were probably backed up by russia only because the stars from the usa showed up doesn't mean they were the key to success...We only have that mixed stuff in the mod thanks to the fact that OA threw the bunch together, nothing more, if they had used ArmA 2 only you would have a lot less of those "out of place" units. And if you post facts about involved parties at least get them straight will you?

I think that won't be a problem since in the age of the internet and if you live in a country that has multiple time zones you will always find a server that still has daytime...and there are also a lot of servers that will be "out of sync" timewise. I don't think they will succeed in having the servers run on the local time anyway but they should have the same cyclic time for a day.

Yep, that's how i'm using it. Running with kb and mouse, everything else with the controller. Lucky me i have a 6 button controller with slider from back in the day ( must be like about 6-8 yo now ) plus a brand new spare, gives me more buttons to bind to the controller. Edit: i lied i think the controller is like a decade old now... @creature how much does xpadder help you in which way? Quite interested in making things easier if it's possible.

@ Gews You actually have more firepower if you have double the bullets compared to one pistol of the same build. The problem is as you mentioned you won't be able to properly utilize the firepower if you think you can use it hollywood style and hit everything with pinpoint accuracy.

You are able to use a controller for everything, even on foot. And it's much better to control and feels more natural to fly an aircraft this way imo. Even driving a vehicle is a lot easier since you can regulate acceleration and deceleration unlike slow - forward - flank on a keyboard. It's like full step on gas or brake the "digital" way.

It's not "hate"...If DayZ would play in some remote US "province" far away from russia but you would find AKs, AKs, AKs and to have a bit of flavor...AKs....what would you say? And learn basic politics..would a county like russia ask for a military intervention especially from a western State? Probably Not, they are far to proud and nationalistic imo and this applies to vice versa.

Most people don't have time to look at the night sky because they are complaining all the time that they can't see...and finding N with a watch doesn't work when you only know an iPhone as a watch.

What do you expect? I mean look at the benchmarks...
