It's funny how people ask for fancy effects only to turn them off to have an advantage. If your pc can't handle any minimum of everything you might really have to think about getting a new rig.

Scent doesn't carry that far in air and unless it blows into your direction you will hardly notice it. And the human nose isn't that sensitive anymore, undead, dead or whatelse...

Well they seem to kill every street musician they see on the street IRL i think so why not in the game? I would have given that guy some beans and go my way. I can't understand why they just can't leave people alone but shoot/stab/club them instead. Seems like people join any type of game like CoD of Pacman with a killing intent.

This and that are completely different. One is a game setting the other one is a forced server setting and relevenant for gameplay. I bet they will also remove the ability to completely disable settings to avoid exploits like turning of shadows with the bold statement of needing more fps while the hardware could handle it. I knew a player who turned off shadows although he had better hardware than me...

Yes tons of western machine guns and sniper rifles ftw...probably also a 1:1 M1 Abrams TUSK Kit?? ...NOT Weapons would be the last thing that would be dropped, a country or the salvation army wouldn't want weapons to land in the wrong hands and in the world of DayZ there are a lot of wrong hands and you already get weapons easy enough. They would get their asses ripped apart by the governments of their country if they brought up that idea anyway and why drop weapons for free? What do they gain? They would have to clear the weapons from those groups in case they contain the outbreak in the future and we all know what happens when you lend weapons to individuals or groups and want them back...

Maybe it's one of those items that has no use until the next 5 patches, if you take it you will have dead wood on you if you leave it you will desperately looks for one when they have a use. Like keeping every AR mag you find but you can't find an AR and when you give up and throw the mags away for a shotgun with 10 shells you find the AR you've been looking for about a month...

I found a player doing this a couple of times...looked like he was running but somehow he ran through closed doors, gates and even through some houses and across wall corners...couldn't find out if it was a cheat. I looked through the list to find nothing suspicious. I think it was also just his high ping.

A laser boresighter is pretty useful but it's a tool i wouldn't expect too much unless the person is a precision enthusiast and probably wouldn't even hit the broadside of a barn with boresighted minigun. Zeroing a rifle olf school style is what i think most people will do, a laser isn't infinite invisible and not a guarantee for precision, it depends on the user. I bet i wouldn't hit a paper target 300m away with a match level rifle without practice and knowledge of the gun.

Exactly...the AK was made with bigger tolerances and the average DAU in mind ( which they had millions of ). I bet most of them are analphabets and just told "you shoot here, reload there don't bother about the selector switch just keep it where it stands ( fullauto )" and "when you have time take this off, pull this through the barrel and use that brush on this and this". Most encounters with iron sights are not fought over 200m anyway, guess why the intermediate round became so popular? And adding to what Kyrah said it doesn't matter what gun you use as long as the target is dead. And sadly there is enough proof that the AK is deadly and accurate enough to kill both western soldiers and whoever it is used against. The existing numbers are speaking for themselves that this is the jack of all trades device.

You did see that Jamie Hyneman type zombie right? That's what a stereotypical farmer outside of the USA would look like...in fact in the Rhineland and surroundings a lot of the 50+ farmers wear such clothing including the cap or a similar build but NOT A COWBOY HAT with jeans and cowboy boots because they have enough money to buy a tractor. :lol:

At least the zeds in 1.8.x are much more likely to hit you and bring you down than in an older build i was playing since i wasn't playing vanilla for quite a while they even followed me for a long perriod and were really hard to lose. I got whacked a couple of times because i was used to tease the zeds while running past them. I recieved not only a bloody nose from these encounters. They should give the zeds the ability to grab you for a couple of seconds and you have to hit them a couple of times to shake them. But it's really not funny that the name givers of the game are simply a joke. Kind of like playing need for speed with the cars governed at 80mph ( 130km/h )

Zombies should be the players natural enemy in the first place. A lot is avoidable even animals would hesitate to attack a zed.

How about x server hops a day so people can find a server and stay there. I think max. 3 allowed hops is more than enough to find a good server anything more than that is farming and will be blocked ( like a "only shake twice after peeing anything more is mastrubating" kind of thing ) so the player can only enter the last 3 servers he visited. If a player visits servers with a higher ping and ignores the close ones with lower pings he is an idiot for doing so anyone else who only has high ping servers isn't affected anyway since they are all equally "bad".

Let's hope nobody is going to try and bypass the hive system in the future unless they are going to sue you for breaking the rules to prevent this.

As if blocking keys stops them from using the other 999 buttons. In the end all your keys are blocked...kind if stupid thinking by the editor. You can only stop it by blocking the content sent with it.

Is it logical to reduce the muzzle velocity of a break action shotgun compared to a pump action or semi auto? The breach is closed on each gun so where should the pressure go that out the front? Isn't rather barrel length the factor to muzzle velocity?

I'd also want to be able to hear people in direct when they speak on a third party voice program so they don't have an advantage ( also shuts up the people i play with since they seem to have a lot of female genes when playing and you need to be aware of your surroundings = chatterbox )
