Yeah that's the most logical way. Kind if stupid imo to build a house from scratch in no time. It's not like we get pre made parts like of what a lot of US houses are made of..

If it takes a more or less realistic amount of time ...why not. Epoch us a bit fast and looks quite cheap. Origins seems to want some effort from the player.

Afaik side chat was only added on modified servers. It wasn't supposed to be part of the game. -
Really good idea....trench foot was an issue in both world wars why not today? It's not we always have dry feet. And you don't really have to care about the weather in-game....you feel cold? Chop some wood and you are ready to go in a minute. By heels do you mean high heels? I can't imagine anyone waging war in those. :huh:

That's a rare occurrence in DayZ, i would stay in Elektro or Cherno, this way you are more likely to be punched than shot at... :P ;)

I wonder when the "don't force people how to play" group will find this thread...if they add enough things that makes grouping up necessary in order to survive and not just to have enough guns you don't have to force them because we are already used to "teamwork" IRL.

Agree...it should split your skull when you get hit with that and not just that...i saw this vid where the guy hit another with a hatchet in the head and he went down in like 5 or so hits...ridiculous. 1st hit on the helmet should level you at least tbh.

Haha idiot...the body glitched through the roof...they shoud increase the cooldown to a minute or more if you have fired your weapon and/or a player is nearby. Should teach them. A normal player logging out would look for a much safer place.

While it protects your skull from fracturing due to blunt trauma you still have to consider the fact that the force behind the blow might still know you down because the only thing that will absorb the rest if the impact energy would be your brain. A motorcycle helmet will break if you apply enough force and you only have a type of impact absorbing foam that is underneath which also deforms upon impact. Understandable when you can do the mike tyson punch 100 times per minute... -

You couldn't punch in the mod. You didn't need to because you either found a ton of guns in the first minutes or already had one sticking out of uranus with the starting gear. There are not many servers where you were actually happy if you could punch, but then again a hatchet or machete weren't that impossible to find either. -
