You have to look at the map. If you look closely you will see that although we have tons of roads there are just a few main roads ( the ones with the middle line ) and a lot of narrow roads ( which are more or less side roads or forest roads ) that are minor of would it rather be inferior? I don't have the word for that main road > side road > and then come the lesser roads i hope that shows my point. The more important roads like the coastal road or the road to Zelenogorks or the east-west road through Stary are such main roads and i would expect them to be loaded with roadsigns which they are. The minor roads are roads that would be frequently used by the locals. If you had every crossroads signed in detail it would be more confusing IRL like this exaggerated example. The style for minor roads would be more like this.

Dayz Commander ist the best choice afaik. But Epoch isn't really that good if you want to experience some hardships since it's just collect 100 guns run to the safe market and sell it. then grab a big gun for it.

From your post assume you live in an area with a well built out infrastructure? Needless to say there are regions where you don't have any sign whatsoever. If you come to my place which is overloaded with roadsigns and head right over to france just about 50-70km away you will be surprised by the lack of speed limit signs and minimal signposting, just the necessaries like town names and distances...that's just how other countries are. I think it also depends a lot on the population density who would want to place a rosdsign on a crossroads in the middle of a desert where a car passes by every month?

Weak hardware is still weak hardware optimization or not....you will prolly gain a bit more but don't expect any wonders. You can't compare dayZ to BF or Metro because those only load sectors and not a whole map. And of course a lot also depends on the server you are playing on and this game is notorious for bringing down even a NASA pc when the scripts on the server are modified by an person who doesn't know what he does. You also have to consider those games are mostly staged for cinematic gameplay with lot's of special effects and fast blurry movement.

Not only would your vision be narrowed you would also not see objects very clear from a certain distance because the goggles only have a certain focus area.

First of all world=empty only makers the pc load faster up to the main menu because it doesn't load Chernarus. You can see that on the missing background. Second: that doesn't help your pc get any faster since you still need that time you saved upon connection because you didn't preload the world. -skipintro just gives you a faster loading time but it's justseconds and doesn't boost performance. Tweaking stuff like scene complexity only brings your overall quality down ----» Pop-ups Everything you o is a compromise between shitty graphics and shitty fps if your system doesn't have reserves. Don't tweak and come complaining later if you don't understand what it does. And once again...you won't gain shit if your pc doesn't exceed the recommended requirements.

Epoch is known to shove everything up uranus..so far i've seen the number of Epoch servers dropping ( at least in my region ) maybe because of the fact that players get bored because you can just get anything without actually having to work for it. The only thing keeping me from playing the mod are the different islands i want to explore.
