You can't see object beyond 2/3 of what the server has set unless they changed that to full distance. You can't override it on the client side.

I would be fine either way because i almost always put the door in it's original state when i leave in order to not leave any trace that somebody was there.

There is nothing like less deadly or more deadly or overdeadly...either it hits you and you go down and never get up again or die from it after a few minutes/hours/days then anything with enough energy to do that is deadly. Even an arrow can kill you in the right spot. Doesn't matter if the projectile just puts two holes through your heart or desintegrates it because it is that powerful.

I like how they say you don't want to be shot at even with a .22 and the fact that in an apocalyptic situation/wasteland when you get shot in a vital area and don't get medical treatment asap ( there is no ER or ambulance ) you will die from the shot. It happened as they mentioned in the wild west and even one or the other US president or politician before the 1900s who was shot with a low powered weapon didn't instantly die, they took day(s) to pass away and weren't even in a condition to move, they were dying. You don't even want to be shot at with a pellet gun. That's the good thing about small calibers compared to bigger ones. You can place a lot of rounds on target increasing your chances of hitting a vital area if you need to. Of course it will not "throw you around" unless you are in a hollywood movie or if you are hit by a bat but it will definately have an effect.

That's the first place where i would look for a wannabe sniper...

Better solution would be to disallow the user ( you can id someone by his hardware and/or creditcard or e-mail or ip if he/she creates multiple accounts ) from buying more copies if he cheated in those games more than once ( one time is no time and maybe they will come to their senses when they realize they don't want to risk not beeing able to play the game anymore because of some lousy cheat.

I i were to disassemble an AR ( and mean really disassemble - barrel with front sight and gas tube, upper reciever w w/o carrying handle or aiming device, lower reciever, stock, stock tube maybe to make it really short - and not just field strip ) it would take at least half if not even 2/3 of the space of the pack in the pic down below ( which is about the size of the alice pack in the mod ) leaving me with not so much to live on if i had to carry food for days. And as everyone can see he travels light, even the guys he killed under the bridge didn't haul arms to the point they broke down due to exhaustion. You forgot to mention he also had 2 PKMs and 3 M4s in his pack. He just didn't use them because he didn't have ammo. ^_^ Where did he leave his bow btw...?

Yeah i know...DayZ has nothing that the mod offers other than fancy masks and dress up you character. And that's the only thing it will have making it different from the mod when it is finished. And the game will be so balanced that you won't hit with an M4 at 100m unless you have a magpul stock sticking out of your ass.

No...it can't do any damage it doesn't have an edge...jk Maybe they didn't adjust it properly yet then again why introduce it in the first place? I hope they differ between blunt trauma and cuts depending on the weapon used ( like wrenches and crowbars causing broken bones more often )

You might want to play Takistan Life if you love to play with booby traps or roadside bombs...it suits your and other peoples playstyle more than DayZ

There is no way/reason they would build a bridge to Utes regardless of the distance if it were to be implemented unless they use the it's just a game excuse or because it's a fantasy bridge. Every country is stingy regarding it's budget especially when you consider the financial gain they have from a bridge. They can't just build a bridge over every body of water because they are merry. At least stick to logic when proposing such things we already have enough fantasy games. A land bridge when you have low tide is the most plausible but you don't always have a landmass connecting an island with the continent.

Do they also want a hotkey for driving forward? Because if they do they will most probably crash when they use cruise control or are they willing to press w all the time in this case?

We have the internetz...they should decide beforehand where they want to play. With so many people i'm sure they have already found a stable server by then.

I'm sorry but this is basically what i understand no matter what stands behind "off"... They can refine it a bit but let's say it this way...a player who ghosts will be slowed down if he plays with his friends and intends to cheat others by ghosting if the fight lasts long enough and it will prevent combat loggers from logging back on the server quickly to either help their friends who got into a fight with the guy they hopped from or fall into the guys back whom they DCed from. In a way the system works on the intended people. What happened to you is of course not nice but i don't really see many people whining about bad pc performance or graphic glithces or internet DCs it's more people like you who like to farm. And you can already see quite well if a server has a good ping before you connect and of course it's a known fact that a lot of players on a server will cut down on performace on both ends. Whoever connects to either one of those servers deserves to wait.

Then it is up to the admin to decide if your playstyle ( which is indeed a frowned upon gamestyle ) is disturbing or not. I'm pretty sure they won't bother getting blacklisted if that is even possible or useful at this point if they can raise the game quality for everyone else who wants to have a survival experience without getting shot in the back every 5 mins.

I don't know if running around and KoSing every player you see is playing the game the way it's meant to be played...we can debate about that all day long and never come to a conclusion. But banning for only that is surely not the right thing to do. Either you have done something terribad or you should prove your innocence and report the server.

You can't take every gun apart if you don't have tools. And even if you could take the barrel of an AR off with a wrench you don't do that in a matter of seconds...i don't want to go into details. And you can't just take of an AK barrel because it's bolted. On bolt action rifles you would still have two bulky pieces...Not "easy" imo.

That's not just the legs you broke there :lol: It lloks more like he surrendered and got glitched when he was on top of the rock.

Does the radio actually have a use with 3rd party coms around unless you want to keep it "survivalish" and realistic?
