You would already have lost a lot of strength if you were living in such an environment. You would suffer malnutrition almost all the time unless you have vitamin pills or similar. But right now we can run 100km without pausing, carry a ton of equipment on a 100% slope, get a fatal wound and put a band aid on it and run as if nothing happened...all by courtesy of rocket.

But it's part of the game of survival even if it's boring...you want to experience it do what you want. Nobody stops you from running outside and getting wet like Jexter did right now.

You don't spray teflon and have an armor piercing bullet... <_< And there are no "cop-killer" bullets either. You could call any cartridge powerful enough to penetrate a police vest a "cop killer". And you can also detect Glocks with a detector at airports...don't watch too much Lethal Weapon, it can confuse a persons brain. Teflon coated pans don't cook food better...they just don't stick...as well as with the boots. Green is the only thing that you got right.

There is a perfect mission for your type...it's called Takistan Life. It even provides the right environment ( desert like highlands like in Afghanistan ) They should really consider adding weight, encumbrance and fatigue to the game...

What???? I didn't know water did that..you should claim it as a bug...srsly.

Has already been done before...why didn't they remove it yet or do they have to hire a team for that too?

Sugestion regarding the Amphibia S
enforcer1975 replied to [Outcasts]Massacre's topic in Suggestions
Three letters: BIS. In case you played ArmA 1 to the final patch and then played ArmA 2 you would have asked yourself...why did they fuck up the new game ( by starting from scratch according to them ) instead of taking all the tweaks over right away? -
Weapon and balance are a bad combination in games...reminds me of some shooters where weapons with the same caliber had extremely different values... I hope they keep the bullet class way and just modify it with the weapon characteristics ( same bullet less fps on shorter barrels, more fps on longer barrels according to real values and not some fantasy mathematics, accuracy depending on the projectile etc. )

^This Sorry but you really are a DAU. If you already have everything set to the lowest detail possible then there is no helping you whatsoever, so my signature is valid in every case that involves a player wanting to get more fps by trading in details. In your case you can't get any lower because you already have the lowest settings. The only way to get more fps is to decrease the view distance which you can't because it is forced by the mission/server setting.

30-60 is quite fine, which source engine anyway, which setting? I could get up to 100 fps on my 10yo computer back then. As mentioned in post #2 and #4 you need something bigger to be able to play the game, it's not your average "works on consoles" engine. I could also run EF2000 on my 486SX16...with like 1 frame every 30 seconds... tbh...you can't expect to be able to play everything on a calculator. And read my signature.

I think he didn't see your gesture  How did you scare that zed up there?

Can someone help me with my settings please
enforcer1975 replied to Michael_42's topic in New Player Discussion
Otherwise you reall have to do this with them. It's not that it's bad it just doesn't work with every setup like ArmA does. A buddy with an ATI setup does quite well with it while mine works better with Bandicam but then again unless i can verify how many fps he really gets i don't know what he claims to be "enough fps" for him, but i think enough that he can play it fluently even in towns ( 35+fps ). I had significant frame drops with fraps and the compression wasn't that good either. Both reasons to look for an alternative. -

I hope you are not one of those DAU. Use GeForce experience and let it set the settings for the game if it already has in in the database end modify it downwards using the slider until it is good enough if you need to. If not and you have ArmA 2 let it choose those settings and set them manually for the SA. Fraps or any other video cap software is always taxing on hardware. It's mostly a HDD issue though. In my experience Fraps is on the lower end of the ladder, i use Bandicam now. Try 720p for recording and 30fps usually is enough unless you have as much storage space as the NSA. As resoultion suggests you should go with the native resolution of the monitor to get the most out of it, would be stupid to go 4:3 on a 16:9 monitor. I don't know if it's true but i read about a rumor if you do anything else that is not native or at least in the same ratio as your monitor it uses up more resources. -
Now that looting towns is so "risky" due to the Zed threat..
enforcer1975 replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
What did you use the space for before? Extra ammo? Now they serve another...with food and water lacking i bet you would be carrying cans and canteens in those in the future. -

I don't believe that they can spot you from 1km away unless you cut down your graphics to such a low level to squeeze out more fps that you literally fucked up your details. -
building effective camo without stepping one foot into a base
enforcer1975 replied to Ineedscoffee's topic in Gallery
^This If he wouldn't have chosen the guy who looks like he hasn't seen any sunlight for a long time he wouldn't need warpaint. No i'm not saying he should join the "black team" either. What i saw a lot ( really a lot of times ) is that players often used the basic skin in the mod which is a really pale guy who sticks out at 1km on a darker background although he wears camo. -
If i remember right the majority of the guns are western...again?

Only americans love lever actions...Europeans didn't like them because it was crappy to recock when shooting in prone or out of trenches which they did a lot during their wars and reloading was a hassle. Not that the lever action was crap, you could recock faster than a bolt action rifle when you had space underneath it and you usually had it when you were riding on a horse. That's one reason it never made a breakthrough on this side of the pond.

So far AI is already in a state to outplay a human using the same tactics they are capable of. But they usually dumb them down so players don't get whacked playing CoD or BF so they are entertained and have fun. The Ai worked well for the purposes ArmA was designed for and they also went through some walls. DayZ was designed with melee zeds in mind which the game wasn't capable of and thanks to the "military pathfinding" they had to make the zeds ridiculously fast so they would at least reach the player. Of course it looks stupid if someone runs to you in FF and you can barely hit him. If they had made them normal speed thee zeds would have been a joke and then there will be players complaining about it. Devs and modders can never satisfy everyone because there will always be one person complaining. Wasn't that useless imo, if you experienced the whole series ( OFP, ArmA1, ArmA 2, DayZ mod, ArmA 3, DayZ SA ) you should have a rough knowledge of what they are capable of....and tell you ine thing...you will have to be patient with BIS. test something until it breaks, redo, test again...they are testing some things right now with those amounts of zombies. If you can't see it it's your problem.

KoS in relation to the new spawn mechanism of Zombies: Good or Bad?
enforcer1975 replied to crazyandlazy's topic in General Discussion
They want to KoS...now they can KoS all day...i wouldn't get bored because i always have something to shoot at. -
You actually buy a lot of vehicles in alpha stage tbh...why else would they have product recalls if they were already finished? <_< Rocket said they planned to let them roam, let's hope they manage to make them persistent and not spawn when you are around or else you could just play the mod and save your money tbh. If they keep the difficulty and make them at least semipersistent ( roaming and spawning zeds ) i am close to buying it...They shouldn't care about players dropping out because they expected a deathmatch with zombie decoration, thee are other zombie apocalypse games to do just that, they gave their money and knew what the game would become - no reason to fret now.

[SOLVED]Camera is stuck zoomed in halfway
enforcer1975 replied to [email protected]'s topic in Troubleshooting
Maybe they broke it so ppl won't abuse it anymore? -
It's alpha and they have never ever done something like this on the engine before that's why they are testing it with a ( i assume ) new type of netcode. Every other event with a mass of ai ended with the client pcs almost crashing in the old games.

Yeah...just got back from a looting run in Berezino with a buddy on a hardcore vanilla server ( 1P yadayada )...1000000 zeds behind me i barely got away with like 100 blood or so. Lucky me i didn't collapse while running away while he ran them over with a tractor we found a few hours ago. Along with the lack of medical equipment, weapons and ammo a deadly combination. And we already died one tiem each today....he was squashed between the tractor and a tree and i caught his axe to the face because he was on edge and i scared the shit out of him  coming down the stairs. Lucky enough we didn't have any player encounters.
