Server admins have the last word on this....so i wouldn't keep it if you know it's illegal. -
nono....they do snipe because they don't have the balls to fight up close. There is no problem with combat up to 300m. If they would use the SMK animations mod for DayZ it wouldn't make much of a difference because you would still have a hard time to hit a target because you still have weapon sway unlike CoD or CS which calculates dispersion and not the actual bullet leaving the muzzle.

Just tell him straight in the face. Beating around the bush might make things worse. Maybe the shock of having to leave will make him rethink his behaviour, or he will hate you and try to hunt you down on the server..if he plays as you say you won't even have to bother about him getting too close to you. I had a similar issue in our group...some adapted and with some i don't play anymore. It's too dangerous to have a "Rambo" type of player in your group if you want to play serious survival. -

That's normal, if people don't have that many alternatives support is always slack. Also if you happen to recieve hundreds of mails regarding this and that which has nothing to do with the hoster but is a DayZ issue you tend to become annoyed. -
Moto's - better fuel economy, guns - could get serial numbers

Fuel economy was altered so you have to go into the "world" and fuel up again. You could easily drive 100 times around cherno with a fueled up truck. Afaik the mopeds are around the 300-400 ccm range. There is also a 2 stroke Jawa ( Java? ) in OA but not in the game because it has takistani plates. I think every item already has it's own id, problem is if you duplicate it it recieves the next number. Otherwise item spawning wouldn't work. -
What do you consider "ghosting"?

This is good, auto disco if you attempt to log onto another server. You should send that to rocket and not just post it here if it didn't happen already. You could add a line that detects if you have changed servers in let's say starting at 2 minutes doubling the waiting time for each new server connect as a cooldown so they lose time if they server hop independant if they were already on the server. If the server is the same no delay. -

That's normal if what i heard is true that all private hive servers share the same hive on one provider...same shit in small. -
Good idea, although i guess most players prefer to play with people using the same language...maybe add the country?

We had a ghoster more than once...too bad i wasn't there too. They were killed first then banned afterwards :D I don't care about them using Alt-F4 to deny you the loot ( if they die they won't have their equipment anyway ) but if they Alt-F4 to flee from combat they are pussies. -

Bad idea, i would rather have the position you logged out saved to the server so when you have left server A in Elektro and join server B and you encounter a group near Berezino and decide to ghost. So you log out of B and log into A, voala you are where you logged out on server A, meaning Elektro. This of course means a bit more memory usage but if the average player hops about 5-10 servers it shouldn't be a problem to make this possible. Maybe you can limit it to the last 10 visited servers to minimize traffic so if you join a whole new server the oldest in the list will be overwritten and on every new server you join you start from the coast like every other newspawn. -
If fight in handshake distance take the AKM, if you plan on lying next to a bush take the DMR.

I saw two players so far, one was whining/panicking on direct while running from Zeds and the other was careless and shooting his Lee Enfield. So far the island itself doesn't impress me...i can't understand the hype. It might be bigger than you thought but not much more different from Chernarus if you compare the playable land mass. A few good things are the Zeds and more buildings... -
Use a rifle to kill players..imo you would do more damage if you could actually throw a pistol at an enemy... They say a well placed headshot instakills but i won't count on that...i shot a guy from 2m with a Makarov 7 times, the blood loss should have knocked him unconsious but it didn't ...so much to the inferiority of handguns with the combined DayZ blood system / ArmA vanilla patch.

LoL what did you smoke? If anything like that would happen i would rather see wild dogs because nobody cared fo them anymore so they act on instinct. Same for cats...if they actually manage survive.

We already have quite a few of those..they claim to roleplay bandits and shoot people from afar...The suggestions would be a fitting feature for them. -
Power lines going downhill...reminds me of Electro or Cherno...maybe Zelenogorsk, even Stary Sobor has one coming from the south...all dead zones. You should use the online map then at least you know where are are. Running blindly can be confusing and frustrating and you will run in circles.
