You people are asking for random clothes yet want all the locked ones which are mostly camo clothes, i think rocket really has other problems than thinking of more clothes...ok i won't wear the weird civ clothes they have atm either but at least it is a start. And there are no real good clothes for the females either other than those slut suits...

ACE is using the same engine, only difference that some settings have been tweaked a bit to get closer to reality. Remember ArmA 2 is already simulating reality to a certain degree. I wouldn't agree that much that BF 3 has good physics, it's more a Hollywood show than anything else. Why should a helicopter be able to avoid a shell fired from a tank? Every bullet in BF3 flies slower than their real counterpart, Helos can "dance" around without the pilots losing control etc. Yes they are rather twisted physics. -
What you do to make the game interesting when encountering a player using nvg and want to ruin his nightgame is to toss around a couple of flares...makes his/her device useless and maybe the player even DCs :D So always keep those flares on hand ;)

Already did, that trick is old. It's really odd that people just find out these things now ( and are **** enough to share it ), yes i censored it myself :D You were lucky you came high enough above the water to be able to shoot, a bit too low and you might have been the unlucky one instead and the other one might have kept the secret a secret ;) -

There is more behind the game than you think. ArmA 2 is very CPU demanding. The consoles might have multiple processors, you need some power to calculate every bullet, every effect it has etc...the bottleneck would be the graphics and the ram that is needed, plus the network issues with lots of players. -

You must have bad aim...servers must do a version check and since the version where the damage was nerfed was ages ago it's impossible to have a too old version because the server must have the newest patch installed according to the rules. -

I shoot Zeds in the chest with the 1911 up to 30m and they drop after one hit, beyond that they might need a second hit. This gun and the revolver which is even effective beyond the normal pistol range are the only pistols i know of that can accomplish this, that's the main reason i refuse to use any 9mm gun even if it has a flashlight like the G17 unless there is no other weapon available at that time. -
Why should the military drop and supplies at all? The only thing that would make sense is that they drop something to prevent the infection from spreading...bombs. I'd rather see the military killing every living thing in the area especially if it's in the eastern bloc area to stop the apocalypse.

1. Animations that matter. Yes the animations suck, i hope they can develop it that you can move and do a melee attack at the same time, at the moment it's stand and attack - target gets away. At least you can reload while moving which was a big improvement from OFP to ArmA 1. 2. Make it easier to hit with a melee weapon. That really irritated me, a swining axe sure has a greater area of possible impact due to the large area you swing it. 3. Most melee weapons shouldn't insta-kill infected. It should disable them temporarily instead. Let's meet and i hit you with a bat, this thing has greater stopping power than a bullet that hits a non important part of a human body. You will definitely lose your interest in attacking further. Same with the axe...broken bones at the least...open wounds worst. 4. Direction-of-impact based damage. Due to engine restrictions it's not posible to parry ( yet ). Zeds don't have a survival instinct so they don't need to parry. 5. Stealth moves should be restricted to knives. H.O.L.L.Y.W.O.O.D 6. A separate weapon slot for melee. I want it, too. 7. Give them more of a use than just whacking stuff. ... many wants...too -

Planning and doing are two different things...yes he will get a lot of customers this way but i bet the view distance would be reduced to about 200m with "fog" to create an atmosphere of fear like in every other zombie shooter. But i doubt this will actually be made that fast because with all the potential DayZ doesn't even have 10% of what you can do in f.e. Dead Island. The engine is as buggy as the one used in Dead Island or at least that's what i last heard about Dead Island but i never really encountered severe bugs, graphics is solala on consoles it may be even worse ( maybe an upped version of medium settings all over ), Dead Islands melee system rocks but shooting is not realistic, ArmA gives an almost realistic shooting experience but was never ever planned for melee. etc... they have a long road until they can actually bring it on consoles. -
This is not a trashy hollywood movie where the last resort is always a nuke. That doesn't make sense. Why use an effective but primitive weapon if you have better conventional weapons available? Why contaminate an area you want to live on later? Why are there radioactive Zeds when there is no nuclear powerplant or any source of radiation? This is not S.T.A.L.K.E.R., there is already an ArmA mod that has this scenario.

Isn't there a way to crosscheck the items in game with the list periodically? This would be way better that the "after disco" solution. It would also catch players when they take out illegal items/weapons immediatly. Of course it would be better to place it directly into the mission... -

It's well known where you can get information about legal weapons. My best guess is there are more players ignoring the fact that players no knowing the fact. I have posted a link on our servers MOTD. Whoever is curious wether he/she has an illegal weapon they can look it up. If i see a player repeatedly connecting with an illegal weapon he deserves a ban. I also have turned a blind eye on players who have connected with an illegal weapon but didn't have it when they came back. But for that i keep the other eye on them. -

Yes you can. If the server admins say they don't allow them then they are not allowed... Most players are lucky because a lot of MOTD i read when joining say you shall not use hacked in weapons and you are not autobanned upon joining by script, so whoever doesn't read or chooses not to read it has to live with the consequences...

Alhough it sounds extreme most people playing DayZ, want to play DayZ or have started to play DayZ should have informed themselves about the game in the first place. Luckily i started playing before the hacking became a problem and of course as a person who played a lot of games i know pretty well that it is important to gather information before you try to play a game or at least try to find the official homepage and get info from there. -
Thre is already the xml system where normally your xml is shown as a badge on your shoulder...but somehow the pmc models don't support this.
