Your backpack ate it, it was hungry...i would toss it away, it might eat you while you are asleep.

If you have play at least 12 hours a day to level up i would support this system. But to counter "afk in the woods leveler" you have to add zombie hords that appear close to a player and look for him so he/she has always to be on the move and they must have the ability to damage car windows and cause damage to the players inside so they can't hide in them either. Otherweise it's a nono, you get skills by playing the game day by day anyway.

It should be removed completely...it works in other shooters...just scan your areas like you do in those games and you won't be taken by surprise. It is possible to show nametags above players heads up to a certain distance but i wouldn't do that since it can tell away a player trying not to be seen by you if you get too close. This is not CoD where you have tags over every enemy you see. And i don't know if rockets team knows how to add this...they did not change some things that should be easy to change.

LOL did you actually say it's a useless spawn? Kamenka is close to one of the safest areas to get geared up ( Zelenogorsk ) and have a good area to move towards east. Only an idiot would not want to spawn there and rather get shot at Chernogorsk or Electro when they spawn close to these PVP death zones, the risk loot ratio there is way off compared to Zelenogorsk. I mostly graze the outskirts and try to get the hell out if i spawn there or even just head north into the woods. -
Must be a special mask for silent moments..? :lol:

I also have a MOTD and a link to the DayZ weapons wiki, if people are unsure they will most probably have read the text and either followed the link or followed the instructions saying they should dump the gun on another server and reconnect so they don't show up on the scanner. If i catch someone with an illegal weapon he/she hid on the server on purpose the player will be banned without further notice. Friday night to saturday morning i was busy banning tons of people with an AS 50 TWS who joined my server at dusk ( i am running it at -6 hours to have more players join when the others go dark and as a sideeffect to attract these individuals and catch them red-handed )...makes me wonder why these people join exactly at that time...they must know what they do otherwise they wouldn't come out when it gets dark ( 80% of all players i remove have the AS 50 TWS, followed by the M4 A1 Holo GL SD ). I mostly am alerted by too many people dropping in a short time if i am playing and not sacrificing my free time looking into the logs, i even caught some hackers and teleporters...this weekend was really fruitful )

I doubt those rifles would still be used by a farmer nowadays, they are mostly museum pieces...even the poorest of the taliban somewhere in talivalley can afford an AKM / Type 56 ( i might even have seen some old bolt action rifles in some pictures ) instead of having food so the average chernarian farmer could have at least a pistol / double barrel or a bolt action rifle with/without scope for hunting. If he is a member of the local militia he could even have an AK variant. -

I remembered this video. Fast forward to 5:30 and look at what kind of ammo they use. Spark busted ;) Everything has to go bang for everyone...if the players weren't as killhungry as they were i would mainly use a melee weapon in order to not draw any attention.

There are no spec ops in DayZ, just people who cann themselves snipers and people who are dead and people who are alive...and some of them somewhat alive. If you really want the hard way try join the wasteland medics. -
That's why i wrote like in Hollywood, they obviously use explosives to blow them up. And i'm pretty sure you might even need incendary rounds.

You can keep it until the server admin says otherwise...then you can keep it and play on another server. -
If i knock out someone i can dig into every pocket and you could even ass rape him and he couldn't do anything about it. That should taken into account when you use a tranq gun on someone. You would have to tone down the time a bit otherwise the player might DC or actually they will DC when they get hit anyway. With players beeing able to turn post processing off which is needed to have the blurry effects it would be no use, so in the end you would have to kill them if they shoot back until the tranqs take effect.

Too many military ideas for a civ based zombie survival game...the last one is funny but you can't make a barrel of canister with fuel explode from a bullet strike like in Hollywood.

You don't have to roleplay to make a story...as Chabowski posted above then this is it as boring as it is. Or wouldn't it be better to tell your friends that you saved this guy from that bandit, shot some zeds while they were attacking an unconcious player, bandaged him and he thanked you for it etc.? -
DayZ infected have a basic need to feed...i don't think they have enough brain capacity to actually use a rifle let alone know what they were used for and why they had it in their hands...actually why would they still have it in their hands when they have been attacked and turn some time later? And i'm also for giving every military zed a coyote backpack with at least a M107 or AS50 with lots of ammo and a secondary fiel like a M4 SD, of course with lots of mags, some grenades and maybe satchel charges. You can actually script any weapon into the "cargo" then they could hold more equipment than the average truck can in DayZ.

How about placing a piece of spoiled meat in front of you while playing? No need to add effects that you don't actually "feel/smell". I don't think your average military gasmask would filter odor.
