All first person shooters must be flawed, too. Broken fov and head bob all the way...i wonder why the ArmA related forums are the only ones with crybabies...fyi i convinced my mates to play on an expert server, after a few days of getting used to it ( nausea etc. ) they don't really want to play on 3rd person servers anymore because the gameplay is more challenging. It took me quite a while but now we are one step further...our longest 1st person session was almost 9 hours ( incl. pee breaks :P ). here i am although i'm more of the soft hardcore guy with respawn :D . Most players here must be from the land of the consoles ( over seas ) from what i read... Most hardcore of potential hardcore gamers are stationed around europe. -
...again another one who thinks Kamenka is the worst place to spawn? I'd rather remove spawns near Elektro and Cherno because they are more a reason for new players to come here and cry about how they got shot in less than 3 secs after spawning...

You still don't get it..there is a difference in how a fight develops in both modes. In 1st person everyone has to show themselves when they want to see anything. In 3rd person the one who keeps hiding and waits for his opponent to make a move often wins. Why? Example: I shoot you but you go into hiding and so do i. We both peek around the wall to see what the other one will do. Normally we could just take a guess at best what is happeing behind the walls. Now the first one to move in order to flank the other one would normally have the upper hand but not in 3rd person because the one who is hiding has the benefit of a let's say hack which shows him what he shouldn't be seeing. This way i can plan my attack so the one hiding waits for the best moment to attack ( usually when the actually attacking person is the most vulnerable )... There is no element of surprise. That's what makes 1st person fights more intense compared to camera camping ignoring the fact that the fov is always the same in every mode and for every player. -

Then go and keep playing wasteland...way better imo. random event in DayZ. break a leg, get shot by an idiot on the hill / in the bush, recieve a roundhousekick from a zombie, get killed for nothing... ...waiting for player to create... -

Have you ever read that the game was never supposed to support melee? A modding team learned it the hard way when they tried to make a medieval mod...take a guess why they failed more or less...

I have the basic DayZ skills in my head ( shoot, shot and shoot )...i don't need a game to tell me what i can and can't do...i forgot another skill...reload.

Do you know what this game was actually designed for? For training military and non military personel, it's not a FarCry eye candy game for players who are younger than the game engine but i would also wish for better animations, in the end they will be as clunky as everything else plus they would have to remake all vehicles to have actual doors. You might want to ask the miltary, i heard they have installed 10000W sound systems in their combat vehicles because driving from fight to fight bored the crews to death and they started shooting at pedestrians :P ;) . You know how awkward things look when you attach them to objects in Arma, right? ArmA vehicles are not really modular to begin with, and what you call a feature is actually an attach script like when you tow a vehicle ( "attach to").

They would rather just drop deap instead of wanting to take a break over a pefectly fine meal ( survivor ). The game is supposed to be hard, the way it is now with all the private hive shove it in your *** servers it's a wasteland with zombies.

I sure hope there is a stamina system similar to A.C.E. where you have to rest a while after hiking a long way with heavy gear or else you drop.

Differentiating Bullets & Magazines

The .45 conversion would never work because the 1911 and the revolver use different cartridges ( but the same projectile? ) And i wonder why the AS50 does more damage with the same .50 ammo... And since when can i stick pistol mags into the MP5? I do hope they remove this ability and replace it with something better, the fault is with one of the ArmA 2 updates since you can also do that in vanilla. You should normally be able to shoot normal ammo in suppressed weapons. -
1. ArmA wasn't really designed to appeal to the eye. 2. Don't listen to music... 3. Windows broken...car empty or gone. 4. Windows broken...car empty or gone. 5. Maybe when they create a whole new engine which will probably never happen since the engine is already over 10 yo. All in all good suggestions but please read about the limitations of the game before asking for them... Reloading while walking was introduced in ArmA 1 and was the only new thing that came into the game that made sense aside from lasers, flashlights and alternative aiming styles which do not work on every weapon because they didn't ( want to ) upgrade the ArmA 2 models when they released OA. Imo ArmA 2 and OA should never have been mixed in the first place.

If rumors are true blood and health will be seperated. If that would really work in a realistic environment we would only need a torch if someone is badly injured instead of a bloodbag. talking about realism...Bloodloss can be deadly i don't think you would be in the condition to make a fireplace. Of course having to regenerate blood can be a pain in the *** and since it's a game you have to warp reality a bit. Bit imo you should not be able to regain full blood with a bandage and a blood bag. It should also need time to recuperate.

Game mechanics don't allow realistic movement in vehicles...you just sit there with a stick up uranus. They would have to redo the whole game just for that...

Realistic & Fair Weapons Suggestions

Yes...no cleaning kits and 99.9% of the rifles in game would have malfunctions making weapons that are made for precision a paper weight...this would make lots of weapons like simple bolt action rifles, revolvers, AK variants and any other weapon that weren't built in a laboratory very interesting. -

Played too much Assassin's Creed and Hitman? Good idea but with 3rd person noob mode on it's literally impossible to surprise a person from behind so the idea is already of no use. -
Doesn't matter if it's a mod or not...if he spawns in the wilderness he is still within the boundaries of the world. If he happens to run across nothing but grassland then he is running into the wrong direction... btw... clouds go from west to east afaik.
