This has been asked in about every Arma mod forum before Dayz. I think it would be too difficult to incorporate the feature being Arma 2 doesn't have anything of the sort by source. Perhaps you could mod the turret of some vehicles but odds are it would function bad and look terrible.

Greetings, I am curious as if packs could be used for storage? Not as in carried on player but as dropped in a certain location to be used as like a smaller tent. I don't know the de-spawn time restraints of items on the ground dropped by players so I thought I'd ask. So you have a tent setup. Sure it holds a crap load of gear, but its somewhat obvious. OR . . . Would you prefer 10 ALICE Packs scattered about and hidden within nooks and crannies? I'm thinking from a solo survivor aspect here as well. Why put all your eggs in one basket? How long would the gear last unattended and does a server reset delete items in the tents and or the tents themselves. Many thanks! :heart:

Greetings, If its even possible. I think it would interesting if at veteran difficulty zombies required a head shot. Shooting a zombie anywhere besides the head would make them go into unconsciousness and start the timer. Obviously, after a certain amount of time they will wake up again. It would give more depth to the zombies. Given the amount of the timer, one may have a different view about getting into a stand off situation. What location did you log out at? (Cherno/Industrial building/Forest?)

I'm no Dayz mod installation expert. But its sound like it could be a installation or a specific server issue. Sucks, but I would recommend to start with a clean slate. Uninstall everything Dayz related. Then reinstall Arma 2 and OA. Run them both once till menu. Then install Dayz via the SixLauncher package. Sorry, but that is all I can suggest as that is how I installed the mod. Best of luck.

I don't think any rewards or penalties should apply. Its that freedom aspect that everything should be equal at start. It gives your individual character a story as you attempt to gear up. No one likes it, but accept your going to die in Dayz. Don't Alt-F4.

For the time being. Its not a fix, but If your unsure about space requirement. Off load about 5 items from which storage your trying to put the new item in. I don't know all items space requirements but 5 seems safe.

I don't think anyone wants to do away with PVP. Some just want a PVE option, myself included.

I haven't chatted, nor seen anyone text chat in game since. It doesn't bother me much but it is less active and quiet.

This. Also, it hasn't happened to me, I assume that this only happens in certain circumstances such as not enough space or something? Say you have 2 spaces in your bag. If you attempt to put gear in your bag that requires 3+ spaces it deletes the item.
