Yeah, I told once on the forums, that DayZ is a model of human emotional and moral experience. Very close to real life. So it inherits this particular feature of when you regret your past once you've understoot something or realized you need to take other path. Agree. I love DayZ for this.

Sorry, can you confirm you have legit DVD copies from a shop, with stickers inside, and you have a receipt? If yes, then you will have a support code printed below your CD-key. This support code will be the final arguement if someone claims your CD-key. Please, take time and try to figure out one thing: play DayZ, then check after logging off next day whether you character moved elsewhere, gear changed as if someone played your character. If it happens, then there is a unique bad luck of you having bought a game with CD-key, which matched some keygenerated illegal key. You must immediately contact Bohemia Interactive and descrive your problem. I think they can even ban and remove this CD-key from legitimate database and give you another one. Well, anyway, if there will be nothing strange happening to you DayZ character - you can go on playing. If not, follow my advice.

Thanks man. Thanks for taking this hard path of a peaceful survivior. I'm proud to have met you here. Such people are a rarity in DayZ. Majority of people here are weaker and follow the simplest drive to get militant and shoot-on-sight. It's the most easy gameplay here, you don't need to be brave, cool or Arma2 pro blackops to do this. But to go agains this violent crowd of killers - this requires balls. Wow, I thought it's my PC is dying or something. I've had such crash yesterday in the evening. I joined DE server, passed lobby and everything and just when I thought I'd be spawned in the world ... I see Desktop and not a hint of error.

Just to make it 100 he changed course and got killed in zombie fight. So stupid fate. Now you say kids like counting murders. If they don't see the number, they won't be able to boast and will get sad and may be calm down a little bit. All we need in debug monitor is blood, temperature and name may be. Supid stats make no sense, just take out immersion. If you need to count zombies, draw lines in a notebook. What? You say it's hard to count zombies you've shot when you're running scared around Elektro? Really? Then how the heck is it immersive to have such counter on your HUD? Same for murders.

1) Global chat is disabled in recent update. You can chat in direct channel (or others may be too) but only with those who are close to you in the game. You can't chat with whole server anymore. 2) Rightclick flashlight, take it from the belt. It will take your pistiol slot. Now wheel your mouse to switch to flashlight. Hit "L" key. You're have light now and is a very good target for nightcampers :)

Try setting shadows to very high, they get processed by your GPU not CPU at this setting. Try matching your game video resolution with your monitor's resolution (and match the second resolution in game setting to be 100%). Try using alternative FXAA antialiasing. Turn off post effects. Sometimes a low speed HDD is a cause of trouble.

Rocket uses the word "infected" out of the scientific view on the matter and because he is following the concept and the background story of the mod. Zombie is a more colloquial form and more widely used and is not forbidden. It's just what he personally prefers :)

Rocket told there won't be any commercial systems ingame same for any money. You're suggestin an auction with remote item transaction - this is against the main concept of the game and will riun the immersion. I think in the future standalone game there may appear some sort of inventory improvement and may be with some kind of ability to safely trade with a player in person (wow style).

This hatchet guy was a wild animal. You'd better shot such creatures next time without bandaging. If he started hacking you at first sight without communication, he's no use in future too. End it, treat him as a wise zombie who learned how to use hatchets :) Cheers. Take care.

qual, soldier zombies mean you were near a deerstand or less probably near a military object or crashsite. You need to find the powergrids, roads with curve or even better, count building at either side of a settlement you've seen. Then just post the screens of the road or a settlement. I could aid you to get your location, but I have not much time.

Looting deerstands and hunting for meat is what I do solo most often. But when I get bored, I go North, avaoiding "hot" spots and find some beautiful landscapes. I just wander and travel :) When you got your gun, bottle, hatchet, knife and matches, youre pretty autonomous and can last for months if you are careful enough to avoid bandits. Plan your waypoint through bushes and woods. Stop every 5 minutes and scan horizon and land for ambushes. Don't use flashlight in the night. Good luck and take care, man.

My squad experienced this issue too. Sometimes a few servers get some wrong update or glitches. Sometimes it takes us 3-5 servers to get past it. I think these bugs can be nailed in the future and dev are aware of it. I advice you to wait for 5 minutes at every "stuck" event. After 5 minutes it's useless to continue, find another server. Sometimes I wait 5 minutes at one scree, then 5 mins at receiving screen, then it all bursts further and I have no issues on this server from this moment. Good luck.

You found a hackers backpack. I'd suggest you not using it and throw it away. I'm a bit paranoid on bans and hackers and I fear that somehow hacked content can lead to you, even if you havent hacked it yourself :) At least don't use it. People will see the explosions and can report you as a hacker. Cheers.

Rocket told many times, he reads forums thoroughly as he can. He cannot reply to each suggetsion. If he replies to each suggestion even with "Yes\No" he won't have time to develop DayZ. And as he told me: So, use dev-heaven, if your suggestion fits in the engine or the concept, you'll see it in the future, but don't hope for personal reply. Unfortunately that's how it works.

Mr Muggles, I'm addressing you with all the respect and serioussness. You got yourself misleaded by the videos and players responses. I know it's not too obvious, but you should have read what the developers say about their own game. Dean "Rocket" Hall said this: You needed to be more attentive when buying something. You didn't buy DayZ, you bought Arma2. Arma2 has so many mods, and some of them are not just bloodbath, they're obscene. There's a mod of a "prostitute manager". You need to run with guns and protect hookers. There are Life mods which are plain GTA gameplay followers, which is bloodbath too. Arma2 is a military simulator, with open editor system in sandbox environment. You can create your own mod of cow farm simulation, you can make a mod where one team is playing boars, the other team hunts them down… Well, rocket made a mod about zombie apocalypse with his own vision. And before advising this to your friends and family, please consider ARma2 rating which is PEGI 16 and ESRB M: But I have good news for you. This mods is in so early development and now all of us are lucky alpha-testers. Now the most crucial is the optimization and stability. When alpha testing is finished and dev are in for a standalone game with a price, they will add many attributes and features and balance it more as we expect from a decent game. Now it's a mod in alpha stage, please, understand it. I follow every interview with Dean Hall and I can assure you there will be more features related to group playing and other stuff to improve the issue you described. Be patient sir, bear hope as I do :)
