Yerp heading back toward civilisation to see what happens, well I know what will happen, but short of logging off until hunting, crafting and vehicles make an appearance I'm not sure what else to do except fight for life til its taken. -
Check your filters aren't preventing them from showing. I'm not sure that's the case but if your ping is set too low then maybe your not seeing them?

Surprised me that I had not seen any in my travels considering how common they were in the Mod. Rare..maybe..I wonder why they would be left out if otherwise.

I am under the command of four month old twins so abandon ship regardless of where I am which isn't always in the most Ideal locations but priorities and all.

Just getting in early :P I think I see why Balota is what it is and the infected are mere placeholders I can also see there being less vanilla servers with higher populations when this game becomes what it was more intended to be. I wonder how much of the player base will drop off when things other than ambushing noobs in 3rd person become important. Private hive time then I guess..

Good for you. I'm not going down that road again, did in the mod but not in the SA. Not saying I won't help or heal but I'm not wearing anything to suggest I won't put a bullet in a brain either.

A few pairs here and there. Haven't bothered trying to communicate I'd have nothing to gain. Still dangerous north, people just kill for different reasons, Less lol and troll and more protecting gear and group -

Did the same thing myself and it looks like the infected knocked off all the property developers in Chenarus . Also looks like either a meteor struck up there or there is going to be a lake (may well have been there since the mod but first time I've seen the crater). He was that way inclined but you did it wrong. You lost control of the situation. Pretty easy to feel like your doing the world a favor by being a nice but at the end of the day its about self preservation and you don't have to kill to do that unless pushed. Next time, give him food and water if you wish, then either leave him to it or treat him as potentially hostile and never take your eyes of him.

I don't think the majority expect it to be taken out of the game and I'm pretty sure it never will be. What pisses some off is that due to lack of imagination, troll for lulz or other wise many aren't willing or able to play any differently than they do from a typical shootem up where killing is the only goal. DayZ is a sandbox game which anything goes yet they refuse to think outside a their one dimensional square, others do and the two don't mix, thus the raaaaaaaaaage.

stop it your scaring my pixels OP I don't carry anything I'm not willing to lose and its not like anything is irreplaceable. I tend to just make myself scarce or if they have a go, I'll have a go back at them. -
I wouldn't mind betting there's a few that do it for that very reason too
