Which server/s? and..what is 'valuable' to you?

I could eat and b.. I could give up my fruitless quest to find a can opener. Not really a suggestion I guess but anyway..

On that note.. I'm more likely to find a chainsaw and chop my own leg off in the Dayz environment than ending it the quick way with a lee enfield.

To hunt with and perhaps use as a fishing pole if I feel creative.

You maybe in a bloody bad way.. but always look on the bright side of life. You may well be the only one left alive and that's not something that happens everyday. There is no one left to share your thoughts with right now of course, but be grateful for the unique experience.

Strikes me as weird I can have a military weapon but I can't find a helmet or a bullet proof vest. Not that I really want either, but one without the other doesn't make sense to me.. :huh: Just thinking out loud..

Avoid others 99% of the time. If I haven't heard many shots, seen player death notices and stumble across someone I usually lower my weapon and say hi. Yesterday I even gave two unarmed players my primary weapon as a bit of an experiment. One called me an idiot for trusting him but didn't shoot and the other just ran away. Generally, if I get PK'd its thanks to snipers.

Though.. if you think about it there are several steps in bandaging yourself. I feel that kind of thing is actually a good thing as far as 'realism' goes.

Know where there is a building with two doors before you go into a town. Find some covered high ground and have a look, and if you sneak around the outskirts you will see target buildings and hopefully any threats in the area Just take your time getting there. Keep to cover (more from players perhaps) and crouch run to lessen your zombie magnetism. If you do aggro, and a player shooting you as you sprint through the town is a risk worth taking, you can try to lure them out of loot spots and then run like a mad bastard to your safe building. Preferably a larger building. Stay in the middle and let what ever followed you in, then head out the other door. Crouch run when you exit, it will help. If you can put a wall, fence and or a hill between you any Z's you should be able to lose them. You can then sneak your way back to loot buildings, that may well now be clear of fear, once you feel you've lost trail of Z's. ..and you still have that building there to head to if you re-aggro, so unless you run yourself into a dead end or stuff up jumping a fence you should stay ahead of the infected masses. Isn't a stealthy approach but it works for me most of the time. Another way is to first find a hatchet, out of town perhaps, and then take your chances swotting zombies as you sneak in, killing just those you cannot avoid by crawling past. Blah blah perhaps Perhaps care less about your character's death and have fun that seems to work for me too.

Well seeing as this is my pointless thread... I did not live long enough to cook up a feed. I found a cow but lost the steaks somehow.. hmm.. noob error I'm guessing. In the end I tried to bash past a Zed to get out a door somewhere out yonder and crumbled. Living just long enough for the slob to re-break my femur Better geared than I had ever been too † +1

The only time I have ever found a tent I got crunched by Z's leaving the building. It does get funny when you get over the anger haha

Ha.. find matches and five minutes later fall through some stairs and now I lie broken, bent and bleeding. I morphine-ised and bandageded and now I am off to go kill me some meat, light a nice warm fire, sit there contemplating life while I stare at the flames and eat my kai Something I have been waiting to do for nearly two weeks now :P I wonder if I'm going to make it though... Even a zombie ankle tap could finish me. I should also get more morphine but that means heading back towards those dead players and gunshots. I did manage to sneak past but then went balls up thanks to a bug on the way out of town thinking I should get re-blooded first before I do anything. and so are the Dayz of our 'lives' but happy I found matches.. and manged to get morphine earlier without getting my head blown off.

And not all rogues are murderers I prefer to be alone with a clear conscience B)

The cities are not magically being replenished The zombies aren't crapping out cans of food and drink Even animal life is becoming more scarce. What is.. is all that is left.. ammo, canned stuff, morphine, everything .. Even your box of matches is being used up every time to start a fire. You die now, you stay dead. No respawning until the map is void of all player controlled characters. Last man standing Go

Just thinking out loud during a boring day after work here ;) I guess what I was really thinking was, as far as scenario simulators go, its not very realistic. Anyone heard from the UN? Surely this has made the news. Tell me we are not all alone out there.. ( windy wind blows, timbers creak )

Was the only way I guess.. to save us all from being just like them. Those bastid Z's have a lot to answer for.. (tumble weed tumbles)

Just thinking. Maybe we should lose a little of our soul each time we player kill and eventually become fully infected. You start losing control of your character while and can only watch as you go on a suicide runs, hunting for human brains. Eventually you lose all control of your character and any sign intelligence and get hacked up by a newly spawned player with a hatchet.

Have never had any luck with matches in the grocery stores. The only reason I think I've even found a hunting knife lately is because i think they are spawning more.
