Yes. I got an alice pack replacing the one I spawned with. Don't know if getting a better bag was just a coincidence, intended or part of the bug. edit.. My humanity was also reset to 0 and has just been displaying the usual gradual increase over time. No healing since anyway. I'm tempted to test what happens when I'd revert back to a default survivor if I started murdering. Just for interest sake but it seems a harsh way to investigate. I also been wondering if I hit 5k again what will happen then.

Please don't give me everything I could possibly ever need in this game and a better reason for others to shoot me. Quite happy with an alice pack, hatchet and Winchester and the need to find lootz p.s If anyone found a 50cal while searching a house in Cherno, somewhere in the long grass about a km in that direction are 6 mags for it.

I'm less concerned about being shot more (as maxgor says above) a fun bit of the game is suddenly removed. And your right, many don't need any excuse but having a coyote backpack and a BFG could change a few minds, and being a friendly medic, I don't think equipping opportunistic serial killers with high calibre weapons is a very good idea... for some strange reason..

Hurry up and give it to your mate is probably the easiest solution and they aren't uncommon you'd be better off collecting him bolts

I know what you mean, finally found two today in pubs and then get held up by a bandit who then gives me an as50 and a heap of mags... throwing the two tents I had found into the dayz abyss. Can't win, I didn't even want the as50 hehe

Need to get blood for transfusions somehow. The hospital only has a limited supply. Steal from the rich and give to the poor. One can become obsessed with collecting blood and drugs... good drugs.. miracle bone healing drugs..

I may well be wrong however my understanding is most activity is between the client and the host and any hive updates are batched and less frequent. Maybe your humanity is stored on the hive and the update frequency between it and the host is causing the wierdity that is humanity at the moment. off topic slightly.. Myself, I seemed to cap at 5k after I gave a transfusion blood. New skin, new empty alice pack. Then it reset to 0 and I've earnt 300 from a couple hours of playing and it never updated to 5300. So either its capped and or there is delay or miss communication updating/calculating your actual humanity number. even further slightly off topic .. Bugs or features? I think it should be capped to save hero's going psycho and mass murdering ( exploit /feature , same old story). Pretty sure the bag swap is a bug though . I lost some beans in that transaction and I was so..so...angry I could have... I could have shot the guy I just healed (but thought better of it in case my bag downgraded). / jokin

Hide, preferably on higher ground and use 3rd person view so as your'e not exposing yourself. Wait until your target is looking elsewhere then shoot them. Winning

Tents seem to be saving initially using 1.7.2.5 for me. Adding anything after that and hitting save doesn't do anything, any additional items added since the first save vanish after restart.

Got my new shirt today and I'm glad I persevered with my own game plan. (Although I was close to just becoming a KOS'r after getting nailed by players even when they obviously had nothing to gain from killing me except for an increased murder count). I'm hoping now that at least that players who usually shoot to be safer rather than sorry may now think twice before pulling the trigger.. we shall see. It doesn't really matter If they do I guess, like I said I'm glad refrained from becoming one of the majority and am happy to die being different.

I like healing/ helping folk that let me, shooting bandits, removing barricades etc I die a lot but I don't care. The pvp element adds a necessary risk (and the rush) to an otherwise ho-hum existence once you have the infected sussed out.

to an extent.. this mod is more about playing it however you like.. which is why many of us like to play it, other wise we'd all be playing one of the other hundred or so pure pvp games on the market. Edit Oh and I don't have a home.. what would I do there without a pc and the Internet?

Don't think your alone with the problem. I have a bandage and blood but I don't think that will help.. sorry. Hopefully its a merely a glitch in the dayz matrix. Perhaps play as you would and it will resolve itself. *shrug*

Beg to differ as it doesn't forget my humanity 99% of the time. The times it hasn't its starts at zero and returns to just under 5k which it has been for awhile because I haven't healed anyone in a few days.
