A case of imagination going beyond an engines capabilities I reckon. You react sensibly 9 times out of 10 (100?), but the environment, subterrainian -z, ghost-z and Chuck noriz let you down in a lot of instances and this time a bandage won't save you. I think the infection risk is a good too, an added threat, but with the wrong place and time, there's the chance your find yourself on a constant quest for blood and a cure., It's desperate way to live if you decide to fight for your life, however a flock of sheep consumed over a day or more and its ..godamn.. just a box would be nice so I can get back to doing other things (like getting shot in the head by an angry farmer). Love the mod but can't wait for the new challenges and solutions that the SA will provide, and hopefully those random acts of WTF!ness are gone.

Standalone includes an 'erbal remedy and the 1.8 patch for the mod has more options, maybe a herb will be added at some point? As it is, its workable if you park up until the server resets, it breaks up play a little but at least you know your chances are better at finding some. Have a few now by doing that. Feels exploity but I'll live (longer)

As long as the 'must be in a forest' criteria is gone I'll be happy. Silly that I'm standing next to a tree but can't get wood from it. -

Well.. I was thinking all it really helps with is getting back to your body quicker, or getting back to where and who ever killed you and seeking revenge. but people just commit suicide to achieve the same result so don't think it changes things a whole lot, just makes it quicker and easier -

Goody. Day off today so will have a look-see :) ..observations so far -Server needs a boot. Blown up buildings and Z's don't make any(?) effort to hit you unless you stand still Just cans and corpses in Cherno. -Closing things has changed from bottom [close] to top right [X] which is intuitive outside of DayZ but feels foreign in. -Found a crate which I could pick up but not put anything in, it was either empty or not intended to have contents. Might try bashing one, maybe it can be broken open. -Lots of in pain sounds around not from me but either Z's or ghosts. to be cont.. -
I really hope Rocket doesn't allow modding for SA.

The modsters can mod for ARMA all they like. I'm insignificant, but I think allowing mods for the SA will just open it up for hacking.. more easily. Have since read that apparently it won't be anyway but I'm not 100% certain that's fact. -

Yep or med tents (play on a private hive so there's a few extra ones) where the feckers don't slow down like anywhere else. Knocking the ones off that come at you is mostly successful , but there's always one that defy's physics or even a missed timed thwack with your axe can spell i n f e c t e d

Don't see it as game breaking. returning to civ would put you at grater risk. I'd just found a little irony in my play of late. Also I try and make an effort to live, the struggle sometimes pays off, if I die I die but I feel better knowing I gave it a crack. Half the motivation behind seeking them is to have some to share as well as enough to save my own ass if I get unlucky or lazy.

If you call saving a guy from a horde of zombies, giving him a blood transfusion and then getting shot for my troubles a funny over reaction then yeah. I have been 10 feet away from someone I freaked out when turning a corner think he fired about a mags worth of AK rounds at me and i wasn't hit once that was amusing. A lot of things are funnier once the rage as subsided :)

<less than two days after death anyway.. It's nice to have a stash but I agree we're not cats, or bots in possession of memory chips that enable us to reboot with all prior knowledge and attributes (as great as that would be IRL) Authentic game play to me = If you die its back to zip, nada , fka'll maybe it would give more value to your 'life' An improvement to the current way, I think, would be If the player is alive the tent is there's, if they're not its any ones to pack up or whatever. If the player made it back they could re-claim ownership.
