I have no problem with signing a EULA agreeing to DayZ rules. If hackers ruin the community and DayZ dies off, it's the Dev's problem, not mine. I can just allocate my server to do other things or just stop paying for it.

That may be so. Not all server hosters are above 18, after all, and some use their parent's credit card. Would be a story to explain if their parents suddenly receive a lawsuit under their name.

Maybe. Though if you CREATE a Mod and a HIVE that synchronizes the servers, you don't need permission to blacklist a server. After all, you're not touching their server, you're not getting permissions or logging into it. All you do it prevent that server from using something you created, which is perfectly legit. The servers can still run DayZ, they just can't connect to the hive. They don't pay the Dev Team each month, so it's a legit move, whether or not they sign a EULA.

Because official DayZ only uses Chernarus. It's probably a private hive, as stated above.

I'm pretty sure that the server running that map isn't a legit server. Either way, isn't that a Czech Army pack map? I'm not gonna buy another DLC just to play on a new map. Do I look like a CoD player?

Would be good. A simple EULA that you agree to upon applying for a server to be whitelisted. A lawsuit isn't worth locking your server and nabbing free loot. EDIT: inb4 all the abusing server owners going QQ.

I have yet to play on a single Vilayer server that didn't have massive lag or desync for me. That's what you get when you have a load of servers hosted on the same machine... I prefer paying $40/month for a fully dedicated machine w/ an SSD or a 10k RPM HDD.

I'm a bandit, kind of. I don't shoot unarmed people but I do shoot on sight. if I were to walk around in the middle of the forest and see a "Keep away" sign.. I'd take out my Mk.48, drop to prone and approach more carefully, knowing there's possibly a camp nearby.

I got your idea. Your specific idea is something that can be done, sure. It'll be fun. But I'm not talking about what you'll do, I'm talking about what exploiters will do. If their friend dies, they will grab the body and hide it somewhere or run towards him so the person who killed him won't be able to loot it or hide it.

Ok, this is a suggestion so state your mind (and to prevent breaking the DayZ forum attire, you may flame me for my opinion). I was thinking that perhaps a new, extremely rare loot item should spawn in military locations, perhaps only crash sites - A Piloting Manual. This would be required to pilot (Pilot, not shoot or get on) the Huey. Thinking about this logically, the vast majority of the survivors will be plain civilians with no military training whatsoever. Shooting a gun isn't that hard without training, driving a vehicle is something you get used to pretty quickly when you don't have rules to follow and don't need to worry about what's that thing you're running over.. However, piloting a helicopter is not something just any person can do. You have to learn all the instruments and controls, how to handle the helicopter, how to land and take off with it, how to adjust rotor speeds and everything else. Sure, realistically, you would need a person to teach you how to do it (or in some cases, Microsoft Flight Simulator), but going with DayZ, a Piloting Manual would have to suffice.

The HIVE / server didn't update your HP fast enough. You were in shock due to getting shot at, when you came back, your HP was what the HIVE last remembers it (1.1k) and you're passed out for 5 minutes because you logged out during shock.

Yes. Helicopters are back in. 1 per server.

You can drag unconscious bodies.. But dragging dead bodies would lead to abuse (AKA friends carrying the body away inb4 it gets looted by whoever killed you).

Mhm. Gonna make double sure who I'm spending my ammo on from now on. I have passed on many loaded tents because I just had too much ammo (I had 8 M240 mags today, gave half to a friend, I have 6 more STANAG ammo aswell).

Yes. Just go to the main menu, choose Profile, choose yours and edit face. Character information is saved by CD Key, not by profile.

Perhaps he was using the Zombie Face? You can put it on yourself in the Profile Edit window.

No burst. Only Safe, Semi and Full Auto.
