I was in the army.. Crouching and crawling isn't so hard with a rifle (M16A1 CQC in my case), once you learn the trick on how to. And reloading it? Pff, even with a JAM it doesn't take me more than 5 seconds.

Used to be Rifleman w/ AKM or AKS 74 Kobra. Now I'm the designated sniper with a BAF AS50 and a Coyote Backpack.

Shops will ruin the whole idea of survival and looting your own stuff. As you said, you haven't played DayZ, you have no idea how stressed you get from every tiny movement when you try to loot an airport or military locations, knowing that every second someone can pull up behind you with an AK and take you down.

Once the problem of players quitting when getting shot at is fixed, the player kills in the debug will be sure to disappear. You should NOT have any indication whether or not you killed the player other than seeing his body with your own eyes.

A random match number could be a good idea. Lighters would also have to be limited (or at least refillable in a gas station). And yes, drink straight from water sources. Hell, you should be even able to drink your soaked clothes if you stay too long in the rain.

I like this idea. Should def' add stuff like sounds of birds taking off in a forest when a player is sprinting through it. If a player wants to sneak by, he can crouch to avoid the bird sound.

I also agree, but this is just an Alpha mod, the debug screen is more than likely to disappear later.

I'm not colorblind but I support this. Colorblind people should have an indicator to help them with this (Maybe instead of color, make the irons into meter-like, draining as you go hungrier / thirstier).

Nope. As much as I love games that have "classes", like BF3, I came to DayZ because it's unique, not because it copy-pastes ideas from other games.

Me and a friend of mine are always glad to have another permanent partner to loot high risk areas with. We use Skype as communication. I'm 19 and he's 18. We don't kill people who are obviously friendly, but anyone who points a gun at us or shoots at us will be shot at. We try to be somewhat tactical, when there is loot around, one will always be covering the area. We also had a sniper in our team.. but he died. EDIT: We're GMT +2.

I've been playing DayZ for about a week or so. I've been shot in the back by people in the Airfield, I've been shot in the face by people in the dark, I've pressed "Respawn" by accident and I've lost FN FAL's, but nothing compares to today. I spawned, for no apparent reason, in the debug plains. I knew the routine, run East and keep running. Now. I kept running, and the server I was in decided to restart. I changed a server, started running again.. and again, the server restarted. I was in no less than 5 servers, every single one of which restarted and pushed me back to the starting point every time. Now, I can finally see the edge of the map. My thirst meter is dark red and I'm rushing towards a nearby lake to refill my canteen. I reach the lake, and I press "Refill Bottle".... Nothing. The dude ducks down and just stares into it as if he's hydrophobic. No matter how many times I press, which side of the lake I was in, how deep I went, nada. So here I am, laying in a bush near a lake, logged out and waiting for a friend to come running with a water bottle..
