    No. Locking the server with a password WILL lead to abuse. People have paid enough for the game, why would they pay for YOUR server? If you don't want or can't afford it, then don't host a server. Don't go locking it down and ask money from people for it.

    ArmA 3 is 10 times better than ArmA 2 in anything from Graphics to stability. If you don't want to spend $60 on ArmA 3, suit yourself, stay on ArmA 2, no one's forcing you to switch. EVENTUALLY you'll have to pay again, either when DayZ goes to ArmA 3 or when it becomes standalone. Either get a job like, you know, the rest of the world, or ask your parents to fork over a few bucks.

    Files got corrupted, server bug which deleted your gear or you were simply in a non-hive server (either last time or the time you logged in). Always make sure there's @hive at the server you're logging into, only servers with @hive are official.

    Same as above. As far as I know, this weapon is not in the mod, thus, hacked. And yes, you can get banned for using a hacked weapon.

    Questions: 1 - What is the minimum (or recommended) internet speed for the dedicated server, in MBit? 2 - Do I require any specialized firewalls or SQL? 3 - Does it matter if I take Win Server 2003 or 2008? 4 - Will 2x Dual Core CPU's be fine instead of a single Quad? Or, will 2x Quad Cores slower than 3GHz be fine? Thanks.

    FRAPS is a massive resource hog. A game that runs at 125 FPS normally (on my PC), drops to 30 the second I start recording (even with FRAPS frame limit set to 60). Unless you have a fast, multi-core CPU and an SSD, don't even think about it.

    Me and a couple friends were playing on some server I forgot its name. They were in Elektro when my friend was shot down by a sniper on the Hospital roof. Dear guy, I hope you enjoyed my AS50 round (Both times you came back).

    Holy, dude. 100c? That could seriously damage your card. 90c and idle? I really suggest you check your fans. Mine doesn't go over 80c, and it's overclocked.. and it's an ATI.

    I lost a Bison and 2 AK's due to this bug. Always make sure you have 10 slots for the gun and slots for all the ammo.

    Ah, damn. US is a bit of a problem, as we're playing on European servers and timezones (I get home from work at roughly 6 PM GMT +2 every day).

    The beta patch fixes a ton of bugs, plus, any server past 1.7.1 (or 1.7.2?) requires you to have a Beta Patch installed to play.

    As previous users stated, seeing yourself on the map is a server setting. Me and my friends usually find a town and check the name, then we know where we are. I also printed out a 1x1m Chernarus map and laid it in my room in case I die and lose mine.

    Planning on getting a GTX 690 and a 3970k later this year. Hopefully I could run it maxed out (currently everything is very low / low / disabled and I still lag like hell).
