Bayonets can be useful. A Jerry Can + A wood pile .. we already have Flares and Chemlights for that. Binocular + Rifle.. Meh.. Don't know why, I just don't like it. Dual Wielding - NO. This is not Call of Duty. Shooting 1 Sidearm is hard enough IRL (to actually hit). 2 Sidearms won't hit anything. This only happens in the movies. Bandage + 2 clips = No. Unrealistic. Gluing 2 clips together won't create a larger clip. Molotov - Could be useful... I guess? We have 4 frag grenades and we never used them. Can't really find a use for it.

The newest beta patch makes it 1.61. Just remember to overwrite the .exe.

Gunshots. Zombies I can deal with, it's the players that shoot back.

Not really, no. I was in the NW Airfield and I shot up zombies all around, their buddies who were right next to them didn't seem to care at all. -

Same here. Singleplayer goes nuts after installing the patch. Not sure what causes this, but I'm pretty sure that putting the original .exe back in its place and removing the Launch Options from Steam should run it fine. Last time this happened, I just did "Verify Game Cache", though then I had to re-install the beta patch when I wanted to play DayZ. -
Fireplaces - Need a water canteen to be put out

It's not that hard to just stomp on a small fireplace to put it out, you know. And I'm not sure how many times you've went camping, fireplaces are only visible if you use living fire materials (not dead plants). Though maybe the firewood you collect freshly off of trees could fit into that catagory.. If you use dead plants and dried out wood, the smoke is white and barely visible against the skies. -
If you're on an English forum, on an English section.. Do you really expect to get help with anything if you start writing shit in Chinese (or w/e Asian language that is)?

I was wondering, too. I can tell you for sure that I can see people and zombies up to 800 meters, at least. That's the furthest I've ever had to snipe anyone from, though, so I don't know about larger distances.

Check your temps. All new PC's shut themselves down if the temps get too high. Also, if it's just your screen going dark, I'd check the GPU as the source of the problems (temps, re-install drivers and, if you can, switch a GPU to a temporary one, like from a friend).

How manny players should a server have ??

Having a lot of Zeds is one thing. The server doesn't have THAT much work to do with them (seeing as the client renders the pathfinding and etc). Players and memory leaks (and bad coding) is what makes it impossible to run a server with 250+ players, unless you own a Supercomputer or paying like $1,500 a month for a high-end server. -

Did you make sure to run ArmA 2 for the first time before running Operation Arrowhead / Combined Operations? Also, did you make sure Steam is running in admin mode? If not, those 2 things will fuck up your ArmA. Also. You can't play with ArmA 2 Free. You have to have the full game (as far as I know). -

If you're launching it through Steam, you have to overwrite the original .exe with the Beta .exe. -
SERVER IS RUNNNING ON A NEW CODE?

The new DayZ script is 1.7.2.3. It was released last night. Basically, you have to update your DayZ if you want to log into those servers. -
My 3D resolution is just slightly lower than my native resolution (1680x1050), but it was like this since I installed ArmA, and it never happened until recently.

Not when he can gain advantage on other servers. If he has a private stats server, sure, he can lock all he wants. But if his stats are synced to other servers, then his locking isn't only affecting his server, but other servers as well. -
I'm surprised you have an AK74 and still don't know how to switch to your sidearm. But yeah, what the guy above me said (Or you can press ; )

Sadly enough for you, there is no such thing as character reverse in DayZ. If you were walking and randomly fell down to the ground and died, I would guess that a sniper took you down.

I actually like the horde idea, where one or twice a day, a massive horde of zombies will swoop the server.. But... 1 - MASSIVE server lags. 2 - Players will most likely disconnect until it passes.

The problem with doing the salute or "sideways dance" is that you're vulnerable to an attack when you do.

If it's an official DayZ server (with @hive), post a complaint at the server section with proof. Server admins are not allowed to password lock / kick players out of their servers if they have not broken DayZ rules. EDIT: Whoops, didn't notice this IS the server section. Still, proof would prolly be needed.

Say at which point in the video it shows it, I'm not gonna look through half an hour just to check it out. It can also be your settings, though. Higher settings = more particles (?). -
Check your ArmA 2 control settings. There's a button called "Direct Communications Chat" or something like that. Simply bind that and talk. Me and all my friends either use Skype or Steam, that way no one can listen into our conversations and plans.

Was on a 1.7.2.3 server today, zombie aggro seems fine to me. Hell, they were even seriously underpowered. I was in the International Airfield, blasting zombies with my old M1911 and neither of the zombies around seemed to care.

Snipers rifles have zeroing in real life. ArmA is a realistic game. Thus, snipers have zeroing. -
