VPS - The term is used for emphasizing that the virtual machine, although running in software on the same physical computer as other customers' virtual machines, is in many respects functionally equivalent to a separate physical computer, is dedicated to the individual customer's needs, has the privacy of a separate physical computer, and can be configured to run server software. In simpler words, multiple servers on a single dedicated machine (the servers themselves being the VPS). I meant that if you host more than 1 server on your dedicated machine, you can't technically call it dedicated, as it's not - as the name suggests - dedicated only to your server. I'm not talking about dedicated and VPS is in terms of functionality or performance. I'm talking about the meaning of the word itself. Call it... Using the word "Not dedicated" loosely.

Why would you need it on max? Even if I had a monster rig, I'd still set it on low... I always have Very Low terrain settings set on every multiplayer game I play. It reduces grass / plants draw distance, making it a fuckton easier to spot players. Also, lol @ all the guys with Bulldozer architecture AMD processors. Do you guys even know the Bulldozer architecture was a complete failure and is outmatched by even the i5 2500, or did you just run to the store to buy the processor that had the most cores and was the cheapest?

DayZ Server Requirements say you need the entire dedicated to yourself. If you run 2+ servers on a dedicated, then it's not a dedicated anymore. Each server becomes a VPS.

But, exactly as you mentioned, you've used "work contacts". This is (supposedly) a public reseller, so they have no interest and no profit (or very little of it) to give away dedicated servers for $30. $30 is the price for a VPS, not a dedicated.

The 560Ti is a cheap and quite powerful card. Your CPU is quite weak, though. You'll probably end up with a bottleneck.

Your specs are similar to mine (except that my GPU is stronger), and it runs fine, though everything is on minimum (Res' is 1440x900). The LAST thing you want to do is run ArmA at the maximum. Not because it's a resource hog, but because it's harder to see players. I've set my terrain detail to lowest, any plants more than 100 meters from me disappear, so I can see players hiding in them.

The idea of converting SD mags into regular mags is flawed. SD mags are special mags for a reason. SD bullets (Both in ArmA and Real Life) are bullets that have a lower muzzle velocity and less "punch" to make the sound they make quieter. You can't magically turn normal bullets into SD bullets.

Using SD mags makes the gun suppressed for zeds.
