People cheat for one reason. They suck at the game they play and want to feel good about themselves.

In reference to players=power, yes. ArmA and DayZ are no more different than any other FPS when it comes to having friends means you have an advantage.

If by "fully geared" you mean I have a gun and a backpack, then yes. And guess what? I do play alone a lot of times. Sure, I usually play with friends, but that's cause it makes DayZ so much better. If you lack friends that play DayZ (or friends in general), don't whine that "it's not fair". It's no more different than any other Multiplayer FPS where people can bring a couple of friends and dominate.

It is up to date. RoF is a bit harder to calculate than damage and recoil is mostly user preference (some might say the SAW has a large recoil, but I find it better than the AKM's).

Have you tried alcohol? I heard it does wonders to people with your mood.

So.. some people here are actually complaining that it's "not fair" to be outnumbered? Hey, here's a MINDBLOWING idea that will solve that problem - Get some friends. Let's all quit games that are unfair because we suck at them. Let's quit BF3 whenever the other side has a pro player in it, because it's unfair. Let's quit CoD when the other side gets an AC130 (Or w/e it is you kids have there), let's quit Amnesia because it's not fair to have no guns. Though, if people want to keep their gear so desperately they Alt-F4 in the middle of a firefight, I'm not going to be surprised if they have trouble acquiring those friends in real life.\ I have the best of suggestions for you - Quit life. It's unfair to have so little money when others can afford diamond-encrusted cars and private jets. Go on.

The difference between people who alt f4 and people who kill on sight, is that killing on sight is allowed and nothing will change about it. Alt F4'ing is going to be patched out and taken care of. And when you'll be on your desktop, safely assuming you're OK, your body is going to be standing idly and ripe for the picking.

You can do that on a private hive. The only difference is that you have to log into the same server.

It's a server setting, but it seems you do lose them on most servers. And to the people above. It wasn't a bug, it was a feature. They simply added the choice to disable it.

Then don't host a server. DayZ Devs are not sitting on their knees begging you to fork over a few bucks every month for one more pitiful server. If you're not happy with the terms, then don't host a server or switch to a private hive. This is no more different than the EULA you agree to on every single game and program you install, yet never bother to read. Go on, install a game or a program, read the EULA and you'll see how many things there will be that will bother you. Your choice is simple. Accept the EULA (or in DayZ's case, hosting rules) and install the program, or don't accept the EULA and go find something else to do (in Day's case, don't host a server). It may be your server, but it's not your mod.

Perhaps.. when you're in a zombie apocalypse and you can nabbed by a Zed, you take the whole box to keep your mind off the fact that the world is now in ruins and people are eating eachother and shooting eachother for cans of beans and Mountain Dews, and maybe the thought of all those horrifying events is driving the character to take all those pills in hopes that they will OD and die, leaving this horrible world behind.

I currently have 3 Mountain Dews and a Water Bottle as drinks and about.. 2 meat as food. I pick up a bit of food whenever mine runs out, but I never stock up on it.

I don't have any secondaries anymore due to their nerf, making them quite useless. I fill my sidearm ammo slots with bandages and HE Grenades. I carry an M4A1 COO SD to shoot zombies (now temporarily replaced with an M4A1 Holo) and a Mk. 48 for PvP. I used to have an AS50 but I dropped it last night for the MK 48.

I have a feeling you're bullshitting. Even if Cheat Engine is running, it doesn't do anything unless you choose the ArmA2OA.exe to inject it into. You most likely tried to cheat and got banned.
