  1. I know Bambiland had raiding enabled for a few hours every saturday or so. But I dont like the server, too few zombies. Any other servers you guys can share with this mechanic? Looking for one to play on. Also if possible: no traders no high loot stamina enabled buildanywhere mod Thanks.

    Concerns for DayZ

Different team maybe, but they're still allocated funds that could have been used for the base game. I'd rather would have seen those funds funneled into the base game. It feels ass backward to me they're wasting budget on this game mode that could have easily been created by the modding community while essential elements for DayZ are not implemented and the modding community is trying to scrape them together.
  3. I get it, but like I said. It's a lame excuse. We used to have more complex systems in previous versions and people were just fine with it.
  4. It's just Bohemia looking for an excuse to wind down development don't look too deep into it.

Another thing: Why make a new engine that is capable of less then the previous one? One that can't achieve parity? Are we talking incompetence here? Or is Bohemia sick of funneling money into the game and trying to hide that fact behind a veil of impossibility? Isn't this engine supposed to be used for ArmA 4?

@ImpulZ Bohemia promised to support DayZ for 5 years after 1.0 with developement. Is this still true? Or can we add this to the long list of promises/features that "sadly" can't be held up.
  7. Disgusting behavior from Bohemia imo. I'm not going into a long tangent on how they have continuously lied about promised features. But I feel like a dingus for defending this game for 6 years.
  8. They are literally looping non-stop without pause. I like my night time forest play but it's really annoying. Pleaaaaase for the love of god, tone it down before people go nuts :) This can't be right nor realistic.

What I expect from BETA Unconscious System

Yep! The game can use a bit more grit. Take note from Red Orchestra 2.
  10. Yes, if it makes the game better and more streamlined of course it's ok. Making the gunplay less complex or authentic to cater to consoles is not. At least to a big chunk of the playerbase who came from ArmA and saw how DayZ excelled in realistic gunplay. Don't try to push this into a pcmasterrace vs console narrative it's not about that, I honestly don't care what people play. I have a console myself, it's just clear that this change is happening because of the console release. And I find that unfair to their pc audience.
  11. I feel so cheated because of this. The people from the PC community. We stuck with this game trough all the years because we knew we'd get the hardcore/authentic gunplay in the end, just to end up with compromises to the game to make it "console friendly". An audience that isn't going to play DayZ anyway! I hope they come to their sense because they're going to alienate their audience.

    Three Things YOU Still Want

1 - Improved lighting system. Building interiors should be darker even during the day, some place without windows are still lit up. 2 - Persistent dead bodies. Decaying over time with the ability to determine cause of death. 3 - Wounded animations.

Hi Brian, With the introduction of vehicles, ragdoll and now the sneak peak we got into global physics for all objects, I wonder if the 'sliding' could be adressed. Dead bodies sliding of slopes, vehicles behaving like they are driving on ice. Overall there seems to be a lack of friction in Chernarus :) - since I can't recall this being adressed yet I would like to know what the issue with this is. Is it fixable? At what stage of the engine will this be fixed? And talking about dead bodies: Will we see (semi) persistent dead bodies in the forseeable future? Nothing compares to the feeling you got in the mod when you stumbled into a heap of dead bodies. Trying to reconstruct in your mind how the conflict went down and the fear that came over you, when you realised the killers might still be around. Will we also see bodies go trough different stages of decomposition? Untill they disappear after their final stage? Will eating corpses, or wounded be added into the zombie AI? Another thing I miss from the mod. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Looking forward to the answers.
  14. This is how the game should be balanced on release: - Canned food rarer but only found in cities/villages - Zombies more dangerous and swarming in cities/villages This way you have a decent risk vs reward system.
