  1. DayZ.ST Game Server Hosting DayZ.ST specializes in DayZ server hosting. We worked very hard on creating a DayZ-customized control panel that makes server management extremely simple yet powerful, combine that with dedicated support, quality datacenters and hardware, and constant updates based on feedback and suggestions and we believe we can be one of the best hosts out there! Control Panel: Locations: Check the website for current availability, it changes all the time. If you see an 'order now' button instead of a sold out button for your location it is available. • US - Chicago, IL (DDoS Protected) • US - Los Angeles, CA (DDoS Protected) • UK - London (DDoS Resistant) • SG - Singapore Available Maps: • Chernarus 1.8 • Chernarus 1.7.7.1 • Chernarus (DayZ 2017) • Chernarus (DayZ+) • Chernarus (DayZ Epoch) • Lingor • Panthera • Takistan • Fallujah • Zargabad • Namalsk • Celle • Taviana (dayztaviana.com) • Taviana (dayzland.eu) • Taviana (DayZ Epoch) • Thirsk • Thirsk (Winter) • Isla Duala • Utes • Oring • Breaking Point (Official) • Sahrani Host Servers: • Dual Intel Xeon E5-2620 @ (12 core @ 2GHz +HT) • 32GB RAM • 1gbit (or greater) network connection Features: • Instant automated setup (seriously instant) • Official ervers are pre-whitelisted and online automatically literally seconds after payment (we don't sell servers that aren't already whitelisted and ready to play) • Server instances are completely new and untouched, all vehicles will be spawned at their start locations and there will be no barbed wire/tank traps/etc, totally clean • Live support chat and e-mail/IRC support for off hours • Full support for Private Hives and a DayZ.ST shared company hive • Switch between maps and hives (official - subject to availability, shared, private) at any time for free, completely automated • Time zone change feature, change timezone any time you want from the control panel on demand • Automated scheduled restarts every x hours (12 by default) with warnings at 1 hour, 30 minutes, 10 minutes & 1 minute before restart • Custom web-based control panel specifically designed from the ground up for DayZ servers instead of generic tcadmin panel (screenshot) • Download access to all server log files from the control panel • Change difficulty (including individual settings for crosshair, 3rd person, nameplates, and death messages), motd, restart interval, rcon password, 'hosted by', max ping, etc. on demand (config changes require server restart) as well as stop/start/restart server functions Private Hive Features: • Full phpMyAdmin database access • Map tool for viewing vehicle and player locations and spawning new vehicles wherever you want as well as editing players inventories • Always-daytime feature (optional) resets your server to approximately 8AM every time it restarts • Enable/Disable Side Chat • Modify Vehicle Spawn Limit • Manually Run Vehicle Spawn Script (auto-run every night at midnight EST) • Enable/Disable BattlEye • Password Protect your server • Bliss Hive is updated regularly • Edit the starting equipment of players who join your server in a familiar GUI • Use rMod to spawn nearly any vehicle or weapon from arma2 and arma2:oa in DayZ (compatible with all maps) • Change your server's datacenter location at any time from the control panel • Automated database backups every 30 minutes stored for 48 hours (does not work on Epoch currently, working on it) • Extra features available: Buildings Tables, Messaging (Looping server messages), and Custom Inventories for groups/players • FTP access to modify your BattlEye filters, view logs, and add additional pbo files Order Now Price: $30/month Limitations / Work in Progress: • 50 slot servers only, no more (cpus are 2GHz and DayZ is not very multithreaded) • No BEC/Anti-Hax support (yet) • Only latest DayZ mods and arma2 beta version are available, older versions are not. We are also often on IRC at irc.dayz.st channel #dayz. Payment: We currently only accept PayPal and credit cards through PayPal's subscription interface. When you sign up it will be for a monthly recurring subscription which you can cancel at any time in your PayPal control panel or by sending us an e-mail at admin@dayz.st. DayZ.ST is a subsidiary of HostFlux LLC which is registered in Davie, FL USA New Features: See http://dayz.st/status for all the latest updates and new feature announcements. If you want a specific feature feel free to request it in this thread, I do my best to make everyone happy!
  2. We are looking into adding additional Epoch maps soon. Sorry for the lack of updates lately!
  3. The point I was trying to make is that if you never received a ticket number then we never received your e-mails. Nobody that works for DayZ.ST actively ignores e-mails and there are enough people working that if you sent us an e-mail, it was definitely read. It's very unlikely that every single e-mail you sent us was ignored, and a lot more likely that they weren't being received.
  4. We have 6 people answering e-mails 24/7 - which is a lot more than we need right now, did you ever get a ticket number? And as far as I know none of the LA servers have been down, but I'm not running the company at the moment. I'll ask someone about the problems.
  5. We should be releasing the Epoch 1.0.4.1 update tonight or tomorrow afternoon. To the above poster: one of our Singapore servers was being repeatedly ddos'ed, I'm assuming you were part of that. The only solution is to move the server to a ddos-protected location.
  6. They won't let us, we've asked several times and been ignored. Debating between making our own version of private DayZ SA hives (running on older versions of DayZ SA with a seperate server browser). If we do that we will likely piss everyone off but I don't know what else we can do to continue as a business. Feel free to try contacting rocket or the team on our behalf to get their attention. Not sure what else we are supposed to do.
  7. Having trouble finding high resolution images of it, will try to stitch them together soon.
  8. Looks like the team is going to start working on this tomorrow night, knowing them they'll probably have it done by early the next morning - not promising anything of course.
  9. In the more recent updates for DayZ and Epoch we have supported older versions because enough people complained about the forced updates. They are available under the 'mod' selection for chernarus in the control panel. You must manually switch to the new version if it is a major update when it is released now.You can also download older client versions using dayz commander, but that's not necessary if you change the version your server is running to the latest.
  10. We've made a new database backup and restore tool that works on all maps and database structures. Never worry about doing your own backups again.
  11. Nothing was working for the last 12 hours or so, including the page where you order a new server. If it was it was because you had a cached copy. Our primary web/db server had a hardware failure yesterday and we had to get a new one online as soon as possible. All should be back up running now and I apologize for any issues. In the future, we post status updates on twitter (http://twitter.com/dayzdotst) which is always accessible, even if our site is down.
  12. Most server-grade CPU's do not allow overclocking. Overclocking is for enthusiasts and home users, not for servers where you want everything to be stable. If you really have an i5 (and not an e5) you might be able to attempt to overclock it if your host allows you (I certainly never would, and would probably drop a customer if I found out they were trying). Trying to overclock a non-K (unlocked series) i5 would be a huge pain in the ass anyway, and may not be doable at all especially if you don't have KVM/BIOS access to the server (some hosts lock the BIOS with a password). This is all assuming you have a chipset that allows it (most chipsets in rackmounted servers do not, for obvious reasons). Yes overclocking would net performance gains that would allow for more players at the cost of stability.
  13. On a 3.1GHz i5? Probably no more than 60, maybe 70 if you don't have many vehicles or mods.
  14. My bad, you posted right before I clicked quote and it used the wrong quote - it's fixed now. That server has 50 slots, we don't offer public hive servers because they won't approve our Instance ID requests. Yes all 2000 of our servers are down, that's the only one that is online. You got me. The server I linked is from Los Angeles, where I posted the statistics from and where we've never had any major problems. The DC/Dallas fiasco was regrettable and unavoidable, but has been remedied to the best of our abilities now. Anyway it was just a polite jab because you responded like a massive douche when I was trying to help the OP with statistics about what kind of bandwidth requirements there are for hosting servers. Not really looking for a flame-off - if you don't like our services don't use them, such is the freedom of capitalism.
  15. ?? I just clicked the link in the guy's signature. I'm confused.
  16. Just examples of our servers having significantly more uptime than the guy insulting us - I was being petty.
  17. http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/173.234.233.178:2312/ vs http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/192.31.185.208:3102/
  18. For whoever claimed 100mbps isn't enough to run a DayZ server, here is a bandwidth graph from our entire Los Angeles datacenter, which runs roughly 600 servers. http://i.imgur.com/6sirDll.png As you can see, an average of only 89mbps is required to run 600 active DayZ game servers, with spikes of up to 200mbps.
  19. The number of cores does not matter, ArmA 2 is (mostly) single-threaded. You need a high-clockspeed CPU to run a server with a lot of players.
  20. You can teleport players and edit inventories using our map tool (drag and drop a player dot to teleport, click on a players' name to open the inventory editor). "God mode" is not something we offer, or anyone that I know of. The only way to change your appearance is to modify your face texture, instructions to do that are on the wiki. You cannot add skins that do not exist in the maps themselves. If you feel like you've been cheated for some reason contact admin@dayz.st - we are very liberal with refunds. We have also never changed the IP's of any user in Chicago, we gave significant amounts of notice for when Dallas and Washington DC were decomissioned, and we had no choice - we also offered compensation for the downtime if you contact support. We are now protected against DDoS attacks in Los Angeles, Chicago, and London (to some extent) at no additional cost to you, while bearing a significantly increased cost ourselves - Singapore has not received large enough attacks to matter, mostly because it is difficult to attack an Asian target due to bandwidth constraints in the region. The fire turned out to be a problem with one of the diesel generators and the servers in Chicago were down less than two hours. Again contact admin@dayz.st - put ATTN: Ersan in the subject if you want and I'll make sure it gets taken care of.
  21. Updated to DayZ 1.0.8.3 (automatic, no server side changes) and Epoch 1.0.2.4 (manual, must change to using 'mod' field in the control panel and reset mission/server pbo to default)
  22. Editing loadouts and placing vehicles are built-in to our interface (except on Epoch where you can't edit starting loadouts through our tools yet, you should be able to soon). Adding buildings is not simple because the map is not accurate enough to be able to position them properly - you have to use the arma map editor, there are several guides at http://dayz.st/w/Custom_Buildings We are a month-to-month service, we do not offer contracts or prepay any farther than 1 month in advance. Generally if you are unsatisfied with the service you can get a full refund within 7 days and a pro-rated refund (refund minus $1 per day of use) at any time after 7 dayz. You want a private hive, the other options do not give you much control over the server.
