Survival servers and the provided service by them.
ersan replied to KageStodder's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
For what it's worth - PayPal will ALWAYS favor the customer in transactions in which no physical goods were involved, deemed "virtual goods" by paypal. You are absolutely guaranteed to get a refund as a customer who has purchased digital goods. It is in their AUP and I know this from experience. -
HFB, Vilayer, and DayZCommander need to knock this crap off..
ersan replied to ersan's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
To all of those claiming anyone can 'sniff out the server files' you are inept... The client files are signed with a private key that only Vilayer and HFB have access to making them incompatible with any other server, please don't talk out of your ass. You can acquire free ports of these maps but they will be entirely incompatible with the versions DayZ Commander downloads - go try it for yourself. Me trying to directly communicate with Vilayer about the matter will fall on deaf ears... Why would they give a crap what a competitor has to say about them? I asked to pay Vilayer to license their maps and my request was denied - there is nothing else to do. 'DayZ Planet' is a meaningless moniker they have called their inter-company hive and maps, there are no maps available for download there and there is no hive anyone other than HFB and Vilayer will have access to. HFB is only involved because they had developed maps that Vilayer hadn't. To the guy claiming I'm upset because Vilayer and HFB are larger than my company, I really could not care less. I have two other extremely successful companies that absolutely dwarf anything DayZ hosting ever was or will be - Vilayer and HFB are microscopic compared to the other companies I've founded/run in the past and now. DayZ.ST is a pet project of mine that I actually enjoy working on as of late because I've always wanted to get involved in the game server hosting industry even though it's utterly oversaturated and mostly full of children using their mothers credit cards and complaining to support a lot. DayZ is the only game I've seen where its players are generally mature and well-informed and is the perfect opportunity for us to build a global game server network platform, which is what I'm doing. DayZ.ST has always operated around $0 profit, all of the profits are reinvested into the network. My problem is that they are not only forming a duopoly (which is always bad for consumers, and is why hard drives cost 4 times what they did 6 months ago) but they are discrediting people who worked very hard on creating better versions of maps (and even the map creators themselves, who are the real geniuses in this scenario - a map may take months or years to develop whereas porting the map to DayZ will take a couple days) who have now given up on contributing to DayZ due to the greed of two server hosts. Pwnoz0r is obviously upset about them ripping Fallujah - he posted this yesterday: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/98717-dayz-panthera-servers-mrsherenais-version/#entry933388 And they absolutely copy/pasted MrSherenai's loot spawn code, there is literally no other fathomable way that they would come up with the exact same spawn locations, they are decimals with several places there is no room for coincidence. -
New feature: Automated database backups every 30 minutes stored up to 48 hours, restore your backup through the control panel. Also going to add a snapshot feature that lets you choose 5 backups to store permanently, that way you can change maps and restore the database when you change back with no hassle.

This is the original thread with the (superior) version of DayZ Panthera: http://www.tunngle.net/community/topic/97961-dayz-meets-panthera-island-updated-to-version-1-3/ The easiest way is to search for Panthera 1.3 instead of Panthera 1.1 -
Dayz Panthera Servers - MrSherenai's Version
ersan replied to mrsherenai's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
If you search for "dayzpanthera - (1.3" (no quotes) you'll find all of our customers servers that are running MrSherenai's Panthera map... Vilayer/HFB/DayZCommander need to stop this collusion shit it's causing a lot of problems and confusion and their version isn't nearly as good as MrSherenai's. Currently these are running Panthera: Salt Lake City, US: 198.105.218.156:2402 198.105.218.156:2472 198.105.218.156:2302 London: 5.63.147.44:2452 Amsterdam: 159.253.143.16:2342 -
Temporary problem at Salt Lake City, this is what the datacenter technicians said: Byron: [1:14:43 PM] Unfortunately, we're having some intermittent connectivity issues affecting that datacenter. Our network team is investigating these problems. Byron: [1:18:25 PM] It's our top priority right now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Appears to be fixed now, was less than 30 minutes of intermittent connectivity for Comcast customers, from what I can tell. Working on Automated database backup and restore now.

Game Server Hosting by SurvivalServers.com *** INSTANT SETUP | CUSTOM CP | FTP | CUSTOM MODS | ANTI-HACK **
ersan replied to SurvivalServers (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
The bliss developer removed the whitelist feature, they don't really have a choice in the matter - nobody seems particularly happy about it. -
When salt lake city gets a little more full I'll be adding the highest voted US location on the poll, cause that's the only way I really have to judge demand. If San Jose is winning I'll definitely be adding that, and as always you'll be able to move your server there in the control panel with no drama. If it helps I voted for San Jose on your behalf!

BattlEye has been broken for 2 days now, Dwarden said something about it being changed for the new arma2 beta. Why it would stop working for old builds though I have no idea.

Amsterdam location is online - the homepage isn't changed with the new location yet but existing customers can move their servers there if they wish. :) EDIT: It's now on the homepage. Test server: IP: 159.253.143.16 Port: 2302 Hive: DayZ.ST Shared Official instance request is already in for this server, official instances will be available in NL when they have been approved. Until then only private/company hives are available.

There were a few problems with private/company hive servers that were caused by some drastic changes ayan made to bliss last night - they are now fixed. All servers are currently updating to ArmA2 build 97448. Our Amsterdam, NL location should be online tomorrow or the day after - current customers will be able to move their server to Amsterdam from the control panel if they so desire. The Amsterdam network is quite a bit better than the London one for most of Europe so if you or your players live anywhere besides the UK I recommend moving :)

New feature: rMod support rMod requires a client side mod to be installed and lets you use almost any vehicle or weapon from arma2 in DayZ You can download rMod from this thread here: http://www.tunngle.net/community/topic/87391-rmod-for-private-servers/ It lets you do crazy things like this: rMod only works on Chernarus and Lingor private hives - the new Panthera map is not yet supported.

My apologies, yes it looks like that rule was removed from the post - good catch. I can't imagine them allowing you to edit the mission file however you want though that changes gameplay significantly, maybe an oversight?
-
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can come up with something if you decide to order from us - send me an e-mail at admin@dayz.st after you sign up so I don't forget.
-
I think we're the only host that supports Panthera as of right now (we had it the same day the server files were released) and we have US and UK servers. Throw some money at us :) Custom loadouts per player on respawn would be tricky, no hive supports that natively - only way I can think of would be to modify the hive itself, maybe I can come up with a mysql procedure that would do it.

Updated all private/company hive servers with fred41's fantastic blissperflib library for fnc_split (and soon other functions) from https://github.com/fred41/blissperflib In the real world what this means is that servers should EASILY be able to handle 40 (or significantly more, need more testing) players without any lag or login delays, and servers should run much more smoothly and consistently especially at higher player counts. I believe it will also fix slow loot spawns on some servers. The update will be applied to your server the next time you restart. If testing goes well we will increase everyone's server max players to 50 for no additional charge. If anyone who has high-pop servers with us could let us know if things are significantly faster that would help greatly.

I sent you a PM with some info you might find useful about server time changing.
-
New control panel feature: Move your private/company hive dayz server between any of our datacenter locations (currently Salt Lake City and London) from your control panel, it literally takes 5 seconds - good luck finding another host that can do that. When you move the server it will keep the same hive database, it will just move your server to a new physical location (please note the IP and port will change).

Code Red please. -
On the official hive you're not allowed to enable side chat, it requires a change to the server files which isn't allowed.
