  1. Nah since blissperflib came out those cpu's can run 100+ players with no problem, no need to go higher.
  2. I'll add every map that's supported by Bliss, so if you see it on this page https://github.com/a...aster/pkg/world we can add it. Utes isn't supported yet because the Vilayer key hasn't been released.
  3. We updated to bliss 3.6 last night and apparently the bliss developers had never heard of rMod so the database upgrade just deleted any vehicle or object that wasn't spawned in DayZ by default... I apologize for this and I'm going to hold off on upgrading bliss in the future as they tend to make drastic changes that break most of the custom scripts we use. I partially fixed the map (still doesn't show vehicle classes), and loadout should work fine now. A lot of internal stuff is also fixed (like backups, timezone shifting, etc) so things are mostly back to normal. If you're still having problems contact our support. The database structure works like this now: 'objects' has been split into four different tables vehicle - this contains all of the vehicles and their class names and starting inventories and default spawn details. instance_vehicle - this contains the currently spawned vehicles, link the 'vehicle_id' to the 'vehicle' table's 'id' column. deployable - this contains classnames of any object that is not a vehicle instance_deployable - this contains currently spawned non-vehicle objects (you can make the owner 0 for buildings), deployable_id works the same as vehicle_id above. 'spawns' has been renamed to 'world_vehicle'
  4. Panthera updated to 1.4 - from what I've been told this is a collaboration between MrSherenai and Vilayer - it means Panthera is now DayZCommander Compatible.
  5. New location added: Washington DC, USA If you live in the central or eastern United States we recommend moving your server here as soon as possible.
  6. New control panel feature: You can now edit your server name to be whatever you want instead of our defaults if you so desire. You can also use our custom variables to put various data in your hostname (see screenshot) This will only work on unofficial hives (DayZ.ST Shared and Private) - official hives cannot be changed due to rules. Washington DC Location should be coming online tomorrow afternoon as it's the #1 in the poll :)
  7. You guys need to stop releasing maps and not releasing the server files so nobody can host them. It was fine at first because you were helping get new maps to players so the game was more enjoyable, but now you've created a version of Panthera that is significantly worse than MrSherenai's version... You are stifling creativity and creating subpar products. And to the DayZCommander developer - you are completely abusing the popularity of your program and only including support for HFB/Vilayer maps for financial gain and are hurting the community because of it. EDIT: I spoke to dotjosh on skype and I don't believe his motivations are financial, he's just trying to appease the majority. I'm going to start working on my own server browser that will be open-source and hopefully better, more updated, and more community-driven than DayZCommander is, I will post on the forums when I have more information. If anyone that is equipped to contribute wants to help please send me a private message. EDIT: This is on hold until I get more information, if community-developed maps aren't going to be supported in DayZ Commander I'll definitely get this project up and running though.
  8. Lee is right, ayan has decided to support vilayer panthera - this is a recent development. Original quote from yesterday: Today: As soon as ALL of the keys are released in the public space this issue will be resolved, whether ayan does it through bliss or Vilayer does it or someone else does it on their behalf. I don't care if I have them or if ayan has them, everyone needs to have them or to me the issue isn't resolved. You keep saying I'm acting on information I'm not aware of, that's because you never tell anyone anything - if you knew how to be transparent there wouldn't be an issue in the first place.
  9. Well I can't say I'm satisfied with the conversation I just had with Lee (Vilayer CEO). He said he released the keyfiles to ayan (the developer of Bliss) and ayan only, and that ayan was the only one who was allowed to release them publicly. I personally like ayan a lot and I think he'll do his best to provide support for the maps and release them quickly, but I know he's already said he isn't going to support Vilayer's Panthera. I asked Lee to give them to me and I would release them publicly or to release them publicly himself and he flat out refused. He says he wants to make sure that the server software hosting them is good quality and that ayan is the only person he trusts to accomplish that, but I know there are a lot of other private hives out there and many of them are equally capable. Not to mention I don't feel this is the same thing as making them freely available. What I would do if the keys were available is wait about 2 weeks for ayan to add them to bliss and if they aren't added by then I would write my own implementation. Lee asked me to make a post and say that all of the issues are resolved but I told him I'm not going to do that until all of the Vilayer map keys are released, which he doesn't want to do. My position stands.
  10. Thanks, I didn't see that post - I hope he goes through with it. I'd love to provide the bandwidth for those maps if Vilayer doesn't want to.
  11. I mean the 'pie' you're talking about is more like a mini-tart, the file hosting I just offered to dotjosh would cost more than the revenue (not even profits, which will be back to $0 in a week when I add washington DC servers) of dayz.st based on his bandwidth estimates - my goal is to support the community in any way I can. I started dayz.st to subsidize the DayZ servers I was already hosting but then I started to have more fun working on it than actually playing DayZ. I offered money for the maps because if I didn't you'd be saying "they wouldn't give you the maps for free so now you're crying about it on the forums". And my actual e-mail to Vilayer said "for free, or if you're not willing to do that I can pay to license them" if that makes a difference. Obviously you've decided that I'm some scumbag so I don't know how else I can convince you otherwise.
  12. It was about me trying to support what my customers wanted - I constantly got (and still get) complaints that DayZCommander didn't work with our Lingor servers originally, and now our Panthera servers. Even if I had access to Vilayer's maps I would STILL support community maps like MrSherenai's version of Panthera - it was first and it is better. I would also try to influence Vilayer and HFB to release the keys, which they are now doing. I'm not really sure why you're so judgemental towards me. Josh didn't say he was going to work on supporting other maps, he explained why he doesn't want to, which is fine I'm not going to tell him what to do but I am going to work on my own server browser. Bliss is only supporting Vilayer's maps that weren't stolen - ayan has already said bliss will not be supporting Vilayer's version of Panthera. Honestly if an official member of the DayZ team is condoning Vilayer's actions I no longer have any ground to stand on. If you think what they are doing is helping DayZ then I will rescind my complaints - helping DayZ is the only thing I'm interested in. The DayZ team is a better judge of what is beneficial to DayZ as a whole than I am. Feel free to delete this thread or remove my comments as you see fit.
  13. Hey buddy... As I already said yes I tried to reach out to Vilayer and asked if I could PAY THEM to license their maps or be given access to them and I was told no on both counts. Dotjosh I spoke to a long time ago regarding a problem with DayZCommander/Lingor only working on Vilayer servers and the issue was resolved in about 2 weeks. Even though I've spoken to him now as far as I know he still doesn't plan on supporting community maps so the problem still isn't resolved to my satisfaction and I will do my best to come up with my own solution. I would never, ever, create a map port and not allow anyone else to host it for free and I would never add features/enhancements to open source software for profit without releasing those modifications to the public. If that's being on a 'high horse' then I'm sorry for what the future holds for you guys. Yes, I'm relatively new to the community I was too busy playing the game rather than writing software for it, I guess seniority is important - I apologize for being late to the party but I don't own a time machine.
  14. If you click on those links you'll see that services are also not supported by seller protection, it only applies to tangible goods that are shipped. Virtual goods applies to anything that isn't tangible, whether it is a recurring service or a one-time purchase does not matter - ask PayPal. We've had hundreds of complaints because we have tens of thousands of customers and some will abuse the system to try and get free services as well as people using hacked paypal accounts to buy things with, but thanks for the accusation (maybe you missed the word "unwarranted"). Maybe it can go either way, I don't know. But we've resigned to just refunding them instead of trying to fight them because it's not worth the time and energy.
  15. Oh wow, DAYZ.ST was created AFTER DayZ came out? Stop the presses... But seriously I will spend 8+ hours a day sometimes working on maintaining the site, answering support questions, and creating new tools for bliss which I always RELEASE TO THE PUBLIC (because profiting off of an open source program without contributing it is what I like to refer to as douchebaggery) for tiny profit margins compared to the other companies I could be working on because I love DayZ and I like coming up with creative ways to make DayZ server management more simplified. I also own companies that offer VPS'es and Dedicated Servers that have been around long before Vilayer (HostFlux was created in 2004), I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. This 'conspiracy thread' got you to release the key files and made you aware that people aren't happy with your business practices. This is definitively better for the community than not allowing anyone else access to the maps, I don't know what makes you think otherwise. I'm not really sure how to respond to that... No a company that hosts 40 different games is probably not as passionate about DayZ as a company that only hosts DayZ servers, that's not even got anything to do with my company that's just logic.
  16. Spoke with dotjosh and I don't believe his motivations are financial, it's just a bad situation and he's trying to release new map support without filling his program up with 500 differnet maps - Vilayer seems to be releasing the server files for their maps (slowly) so this problem is finally starting to resolve itself. If dotjosh doesn't want to support community maps I will definitely start working on my own server browser that does as I said in the OP.
  17. I'd love to host files for any dayz-related projects. Anyone who needs hosting feel free to contact me. Also sent a PM to dotjosh, sorry if I misjudged you before.
  18. We're not allowed to join the DayZPlanet hive (it is run by HFB and Vilayer) - this is for private and dayz.st shared hives only. If it was ever allowed I would happily support it.
  19. I woke up this morning and saw that Vilayer has given their server keys to bliss developer ayan4m1, he has released the Takistan key publicly so far: https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private/blob/3d01d096ef4e302707cb3a2db8a0623e5fede5de/deploy/Keys/vilayer_takistan.bikey This is a step in the right direction as it means other companies will be able to host their versions of the mod when more keys are released. It will also mean they are compatible with DayZ Commander. This still does not excuse the code theft and lack of credit to the developers, though I think this little bit of publicity about their practices has inspired them to rethink what they are doing. Time will tell. And yeah RogueOne I mentioned that in an earlier post, DayZ hosting is small potatoes. However the 'industry' I believe he was referring to is the DayZ server hosting industry, not game server hosting in general. There are only a handful of DayZ hosts as the game requires a lot more special attention than most game servers. The larger companies haven't really touched it - the amount of time they would have to spend on it doesn't make much financial sense and I doubt anyone would rent DayZ servers from them anyway. DayZ hosting is either for people who are truly passionate about the game or don't really have viable business plans anywhere else. Also dotjosh (the developer of DayZCommander) has and will continue to claim ignorance to this entire matter, he says things like "I only add support for maps that have a significant number of servers" and the Vilayer/DayZCommander relationship only exists because Vilayer has a lot of servers and there's no financial motivation which is obviously not true. Hopefully the negative response has made an impression on him as well.
  20. New map added: Takistan This map IS compatible with DayZ Commander - this is the first map that has a publicly available key from Vilayer - https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private/blob/3d01d096ef4e302707cb3a2db8a0623e5fede5de/deploy/Keys/vilayer_takistan.bikey Please note that there are no default vehicle spawn points for Takistan yet - you must add them manually in the database if you want vehicles. You can either install through DayZ Commander or download the addon here: http://dayz.st/files/DayZTakistan_1.3.zip
  21. Looks like the original creator of the maps is upset as well: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?100135-Jungle-Wars-Island-of-Lingor&p=2238097&viewfull=1#post2238097 He's considering seeking legal action against Vilayer.
  22. I'm sorry mate I disagree with you completely, I've had hundreds and hundreds of unwarranted buyer dispute claims that we are forced to refund because even if you call PayPal they will say "There is no seller protection for digital goods", this is a fairly well known fact among service providers. This applies to a wide variety of intangible services including DayZ Server rentals. I can provide some transcripts of e-mail correspondance I've had with paypal on the matter as well as testimony from various service providers if you don't believe me, but you can just google it yourself PayPal has and always will favor buyers over sellers. You are correct in saying that buyer protection only applies to tangible goods, but it is not necessary to win a dispute.
  23. We've had 1 cancellation since the company started. Everyone else has renewed, did you even read my post?
