  1. We started working on the new maps but then all of github went down - https://github.com/ It's going to have to wait until tomorrow.
  2. As far as I know bliss will properly support the new namalsk (and every other map) once the update is released. We're making hacky implementations until that happens because most people would prefer updated Namalsk to old namalsk with messages/custinv/wrecks/etc.
  3. New London node online. Also Dallas node 50.97.82.3 and Amsterdam node 37.58.68.222 are currently offline due to DDoS attack - Dallas should be back fairly soon, no word on Amsterdam yet though.
  4. Side chat is in the mission file, there is a line in description.ext - disableChannels[]={0,1,2,6}; is the default, disableChannels[]={0,2,6}; enables side chat. Having said that we do not offer support for custom PBO's.
  5. Due to many many many requests, we just added the ability to upload your own custom mission and server PBO files: I cannot stress enough that this is NOT SUPPORTED BY US - if you send us a support request about your server not working we will simply tell you to remove your custom pbo's before we can help, there are far too many ways to break your server with access to these files and we would be inundated by requests if we tried to support it - so you're on your own. Also we have servers on order for Singapore, Washington DC, Dallas, and London - all but London should be setup and have availability by tomorrow. London may take a couple more days.

We know how to roll dayztaviana.com 2.0 but we are not going to use a bliss fork - ayan has advised us to wait until package manager support is finished on Wendesday and that is what we're going to do. Several different mods have now forked bliss because it has been slow to support new mods, and all of the forks are incompatible with each other (they overlap database schemas and worldid's etc.) We fall behind on e-mails sometimes and flag some that we can't find an answer to quickly on occasion so that we can come back to them later, but I assure you we don't hold grudges - we have too many customers to keep track of something like that anyway. I'm also not the only person that answers e-mails. Answering a simple question like adding pipebombs to the loadout editor would be answered quickly, asking us why time is going backwards on your official hive server is not - nobody else had ever reported the problem before and we still don't know how to fix it. Since it's only affecting official hives it's safe to assume there isn't much we can do about it and you should report the problem to DayZ instead of us, since we have 0 control over official hives.

Added options to disable Bloodsuckers and EVR Storms on the new Namalsk: For those that don't know: Bloodsuckers are super-powerful zombies/vampires that have a very low chance to spawn at heli crashes and other zombie spawnpoints. - http://download.nightstalkers.cz/dzn/070test3.jpg EVR discharge storms are a random storm cloud that will appear and knock everyone in that particular area unconscious and take away health. - http://download.nightstalkers.cz/arma2/blowout.jpg Both are enabled by default because they are badass.
  9. If you go back a few pages Audio Rejectz posted the SQL for the dayzland.eu spawns. When they release the server files, currently there's only 4 servers for it. Restart now and it should be fixed. Wait for Host on Chernarus should be permanently fixed and not a problem in the future.
  10. It is fixed again... Stop/start to apply - It will be fixed so that it is impossible to cause a problem again when I wake up again later today. We were up until 6AM finishing up Namalsk 0.72 and it is now 4 hours later and we are up again, hooray. The refuel kick problem should be fixed on dayztaviana.com We are going to try to add an option to disable the new bloodsuckers/weather events on Namalsk today since some people don't seem to like them. for those that don't know: bloodsucker is some uber-zombie that spawns and is very difficult to kill EVR weather event is like a storm cloud that will knock everyone unconscious in an area (I believe)
  11. Namalsk has been updated to 0.72 - all extra packages for it are temporarily disabled (buildings, per-player custom loadouts, kill messages, looping messages, wrecks, and care packages) until official support is added to Bliss. (most likely Sunday?) We spoke yesterday.
  12. ArmA2 is generally backwards compatible, ill take a look soon. We don't update until a patch is available on dayzcommander - that's our rule. New nodes setup in Dallas, Washington DC, London, and Salt Lake City - we now have availability everywhere. Also we are going to try and add support for DayZ 2017, Namalsk 0.72, and Thirsk as well as fix the refuel kick on Tavi this weekend. (it's easier to just do everything together, sorry it has taken this long)
  13. Looking for a couple admins of high-population servers to beta test an experimental performance booster, swing by IRC or email [email protected] if you want to help. It should theoretically make logins instant no matter how many people are on the server but I haven't been able to test it on high-pop servers yet.
  14. Yeah just noticed this a few minutes ago, seems to be a problem with the datacenter, all servers there are getting heavy packet loss. We informed the datacenter, these types of issues are usually resolved quickly. EDIT: They told me it's because of a large inbound DDoS at the datacenter (not directed at us, just somebody else hosted there). It must be pretty big if it's causing that many problems. I'm sure it will return to normal soon. EDIT2: Seems like it's back to normal now.

    Actually you probably want to check use default instead, the defaults ensure compatibility with dayz commander. You likely broke it with your custom hostname.
  17. Okay I just spoke to AlexSpain (I wish I had talked to him a long time ago) and everything has been cleared up. His English isn't very good so people were misinterpreting what he was saying - apparently he just wants hosting companies to offer Taviana as an OPTION rather than being locked into Taviana after you purchase the server (basically because that would directly be profiting from Taviana rather than hosting servers). This is a confusing limitation but I understand it somewhat. He also showed me a repository where they are actively developing a bliss branch that supports dayzland.eu's version of Taviana. We will be maintaining our own branch of bliss using changes from bliss mainline and dayzland.eu's version, so both versions will continue to be supported in the future. He's actually upset that we are hosting dayztaviana.com's version, not his. As for which version to use, do whatever makes you happy: dayzland.eu has different skins and support for more custom vehicles (the gunboat PBX and a couple aircraft have removed radar like they should in DayZ) and is based off of dayz 1.7.3 (mostly), it also has its own humanity system that functions properly and has the debug monitor in the top right with stats still. dayztaviana.com has a clear development plan and seems to be more in tune with people requesting changes and is keeping closer in line with the base DayZ mod. You could say dayzland.eu is like the fun version and dayztaviana.com is the serious competitive version? I guess?

For one, because the author of the dayzland.eu version has been telling everyone that nobody is allowed to host it unless they manually run it on a server that they own physically, and this was after a month or two of them not allowing anyone to host it at all... In fact AlexSpain just sent me an e-mail this morning asking to talk, presumably to ask us to stop hosting dayzland.eu again. The dayzland.eu version is surrounded by drama and people trying to use it to gain popularity for their (imo) dumb dayz communities, and squabbling amongst themselves over who 'has permission' to host them so that their community has more signups than the other 20 communities, and frankly 99% of actual dayz players don't give a crap about any of them or even know they exist. Personally, I appreciate the open and free alternative, even if it isn't as good currently. I fail to see the difference between offering a service specifically hosting the map, offering an unmanaged dayz server where you have to FTP the files yourself, offering a VPS/dedicated server and requiring you to install a dayz server on it, or hosting your own server and asking for donations for perks like custom starting loadouts or priority slots. Someone somewhere along the line is profiting from it.
  19. Due to what can only be described as outrage, I spent my morning branching bliss and re-adding support for dayzland.eu's Taviana - both versions are now supported. (This is different from using the archived version as ayan suggested, and should allow us to support it going forward instead of relying on an old version of bliss for DZL taviana) One caveat: The default vehicle spawns will still be from dayzland.com's version - if you want to re-add them you will have to do it manually. Some of the default vehicles (most likely helicopters with radar) will probably not work on dayzland.eu unless you manually change them using the map tool and the 'custom' classes - I will try to re-add the dayzland-specific vehicle classes to the dropdown menu soon. Also switching between the maps will reset your database, as any map change does. Theoretically you can restore a backup from the dayzland.com version of Taviana when you switch, but if it doesn't work we can't help. Increased to 10MB 1 - You will be able to download the (current) clean mission file before making edits. 2 - We will add the option to pause bliss updates for your server or you can just allow them and hope the mission file still works - we do not keep customers' e-mails on file for privacy reasons so we can't e-mail anyone when there are updates. Generally you can keep up with the bliss commits at https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private/commits/master and we'll commit them locally within a day or two.
  20. #1 I highly doubt works with DayZ, but if it does send us the pbo/key file and we can install it. #2 cannot be done, sorry. if it involves a mission file edit you will be able to do it when we allow custom mission files/FTP
  21. Responded to you via e-mail. Added the satchel charge to the Thrown items on the loadout editor (marked as non-spawning) Pwnoz0r's private hive is the only other private hive software that is still updated as far as I know - it is the official software for dayzland.eu Taviana. Unfortunately it isn't as mature or reliable as bliss and does not scale as well for larger installations. It's more of a hobbyist hive that is built to be easy to install rather than easy to customize.

We haven't stopped responding to your e-mails but you constantly ask us about why your official hive isn't working and we constantly tell you that the official hive is not under our control and we cannot get any more instance ID's (we know it is being phased out, and have for some time). We don't have answers for you. And as I said if you can find the class name for the satchel charge we will add it to the loadout editor for you - I personally don't know what it is. Ah didn't know the site was being hosted by Vilayer - unfortunate.
  23. The datacenter told us there was nothing wrong with the server (probably incorrect) and I started the dayz servers on it - is it down again? EDIT: Sorry I went to help my dad hang up Christmas lights and wasn't monitoring it, looks like it went down again - I'm on the phone with the datacenter now demanding they check EVERYTHING and repair it - we will offer compensation for the downtime on this server, I'm very sorry. I have no idea where my partner went I thought he was taking care of things while I was gone, I told him to call me if it went down again. EDIT 2: just to make sure you have the most up to date info this is an email the datacenter sent me 20 seconds ago: After looking in the IPMI logs I found a couple things that are possibly memory errors. As these only started today I think its possible this is the cause. Please hang on while the Datacenter looks into this. I am sorry for any confusion. EDIT 3: The datacenter is replacing the bad RAM now.
  24. Interesting, didn't notice that - I guess Martin is the root of those problems then. Anyway as far as I know he has no legal footing - you can't say dayz server providers can't host it but other server providers can, that's just idiotic. Dedicated server providers would be inadvertently profiting off of hosting the map whether they advertise it as such or not... Excluding companies that are actually equipped and designed to provide support for running the map is stupid, frankly. We are going to continue to host the map and if they want to make it a legal issue I'm game I suppose. I don't think there will be any problems. FWIW We have attempted to contact the author and distributors of the map in the past and were ignored. Also I wasn't aware vilayer was involved in dayztaviana.com, I know two of the developers and they are adamantly against villayers business practices so I would be interested to know how you determined that, not that you're wrong.
