I've joined a server twice where there was a dead survivor (the sound of that is so ironic) in the elektro powerplant firehouse on the middle floor. This is the only time this has ever happened, but both times when I tried to loot the corpse, ARMA crashed on me. Nobody has touched the body. I'm not sure if it's an extremely rare bug, if that guy had something on him that shouldn't be in the game, or if he is using a hack. Not my call here, but I'm swaying more towards a hack because of the wave of people who want to do stupid crap. Screenshot provided for which server it was and the people currently on it. Time was between 2:45 AM and 3:00 AM EST.

So, I was running Six Launcher again, because that's my preferred method of running the game. It's reliable and I don't have many problems at all. For the first time since I've been playing, Six Launcher updated itself. I was checking to see if there was a new beta patch, and there was, so I began dling that at around the time SL was done updating. Clicked "Verify" on Six Launcher, and it said it was updating beta? Cancelled my dl of the beta and went with this. Did I miss a confirmation for this? If this is true, then holy hell this makes it so much better :D

The formula I learned was height * 1000 / milidots In the case of a standing person, 1.8 * 1000 / milidots Crouch - 0.9 * 1000 / milidots Prone... So, I was up near NW airfield. I climbed up a guard tower to take a look at my map and look at my compass to make sure I wasn't at the end of the airfield I was thinking I was at... and I died. For no reason. The debug monitor still showed me at 12k blood. The story: I spent around 2 - 2.5 hours collecting materials so I could make the trip up there safely and surely, while enjoying the scenery on my way there and collecting various other items that I thought may be useful. Here's the supplies I had when I left: 5 morphine, 6 bandages, 3 or 4 painkillers, 2 heatpacks, 2 water bottles, a map, a compass, a watch, matches, a hatchet, a knife, military flashlight, M4A1 rifle with 6 mags, Silenced M9 (had a M1911 most of the time, until I went to Stary and found the M9 SD), and one frag grenade. I think that's all the supplies I had... or something like that. Was sporting the ALICE backpack. So, first off, I went looking for a bicycle. I started at Elektro and made my way to the western lighthouse. Didn't find a bicycle, sadly. I treaded North past Pusta, investigating first, of course, and ended up reaching Kumyrna. That was my first time visiting ruins. Wasn't a planned rest stop, but it was there so I took the opportunity. My second stop was the green house between Novy and Guglovo, because I read of a bicycle possibly spawning there. Again, no luck. From there, I just scrambled around aimlessly, investigating various nearby towns to see if they had a church. Of course, most of the time it was just me picking up more mags for my M1911 or eating/drinking food/soda that I found. I ate enough food to make sure that I was at 12k blood for 99% of my trip. So anyway, I kept adventuring (thankfully, no arrows to the knee. /badjoke) and followed my map to Stary. That was the third stop I wanted to make. I got my M9 SD and was so happy about that. Only ended up with 2 mags for it, but nonetheless, my second most amazing sidearm. Would have been my first, but I found an uzi in a firehouse on a previous survivor. Eventually, I ended up going towards the NW airfield after looking over Stary. I seen some lookout towers, so I knew I was getting close. For some reason, I aimlessy went SouthWest, and found a barn. Didn't know where the hell I was, but I ended up making a fire outside of it and cooking some meat that I collected along the way to replenish my blood. Traveled back North and found the entry to the NW airfield. I didn't want to just run in there, in case there were bandits around, so I went up to a guard tower to check my map because I was planning on going around the airfield to find a nice hill to camp out on for a few minutes while I used my binoculars to scout the area of any bandit activity. Went up to the tower... and died. 12k blood still in the debug menu... No gunshot heard, nothing happened... My first DayZ adventure and I died from a bug after an epic survivor tale :( I've been playing DayZ for 4 days now. At first, I died maybe 20 times before I found a single weapon. Slowly, I started to realize which places had good loot, looked up good loot locations and started becoming a friendly, adventuring survivor. I went out a few times, only to fight zombies and, in my noobish haze, would get my leg broken ~50km away from any hospital, and without packing any morphine before the trip. This was my first success and it was extremely successful... until the end... Why does this bug happen? Is there a way to fix it? That ruined the last 1.5 days for me :(

No loss of blood, though? I've been head shot by a sniper at least 10 times. AT LEAST 10 times... and I ended up getting a negative blood count between 200 - 1300

Didn't hear anything, and I scoped out the area by zooming in before I checked my map... Didn't see anything. Not even animals or zombies.

I do not have the debug monitor. I can't switch to third person :(
