Something odd I've found out about DayZ; People always complain about the best things in the game.

A super, mega, ultra, killer, powerful, murdering, obese, menacing, scary, large, tanking, ugly, horrifying, spectacular, uber, over 9,000 end game boss sounds good.

I found a spawned one in a firestation once. Pretty decent. Good firepower, very loud, though.

You thought you could just play DayZ without doing any mod installing? Oh man... Ok, go to YouTube, find a guide video for how to install DayZ. There's a lot more than just getting ARMA 2 and it's expansion.

DayZ updated? Why roll back ARMA 2 beta? Did you update ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead before installing DayZ? What is your method of launching the game? Have you tried joining multiple servers? How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Would have to somehow disable respawning in this matter. I, for one, would be like "Well, I'm a dumbass zombie now." *Respawn*

I have no idea if this is part of the game's core engine, such as the useless leaderboard, or if it can actually be modified for DayZ. If it is, then I don't think they can do anything about it. If not, then this is a good idea.

In the debug monitor: "Murders" and "Bandits Killed" It's like knowing the difference between a potato and a rabbit... Not hard at all.

There are at least 27 threads with the same exact problem... That hourglass is set for 5 minutes. Wait it out.

I'd rather die and kill in 1-5 shots than unload 2 clips in my opponent until I feel like their shields are down. Adds suspense to the game. Gets the blood pumping. You don't get that very often anymore.

Don't know about you, but being indoors tends to make you and your target close range. I'd rather maul somebody 5 feet away with a hatchet rather than throw it at them.

Oh! It's this thread again! "Bad mod, bad game, bitch bitch moan bitch sandy vagina bitch moan and bitch" Here's an idea; every single time something is in production, we should completely bash it and tell the developers/engineers/programmers/mechanics/inventors/innovators/idealists/scientists/researchers that their prototype is absolute shit. After all, a prototype completely determines the end outcome. /stupid logic Actually, let's look at this example: The XBox 360. I am no fanboy, but I play the 360 instead of PS3 or Wii. I am also a PC gamer. I was absolutely maddened by the fact of how poorly the XBox was designed. RROD's, overheating, crappy CD trays, etc. you get the point. That's when you need to tell the people who design something that it's a piece of shit, when their "official release" product craps out like the XBox 360 did. Of course, I took advantage of this situation and learned how to repair XBoxes, netting me $600+ in the process. Anyway, this game is in Alpha. It has much more potential, but it's not going to be officially done overnight. I wouldn't be surprised if DayZ was finally officially release 2 years from now, due to a small development team and trying to maintain the realism factor, which takes quite a bit of thought and balancing. So, may I kindly ask as of right now, take the dick out of your ass and shove it in your mouth. Once DayZ is officially complete, come back and give your opinion then. As of right now, you're just making me think about little high school girls that bitch in the girls' restroom over pointless matters. Get a job so you can do something else with your life instead of getting angry that you don't like a modification to a game that your daddy gave you the money to buy.

I use 3 printed maps. One for loot, one for possible heli crash locations and one for vehicle locations. 99% of the time, I keep the loot and heli crash locations right in front of me. Hardly ever use the vehicle spawn locations (being a lone wolf and all doesn't really call for the need of a vehicle that much). I mostly just keep the loot map in front of me for deer stands.

1 - Trust no one 2 - Don't DC during any combat what so ever. If you are teleported high into the sky and are falling to your death, if you hear a jet, if you hear loud artillery explosions, if you are in debug forest/plains and getting shot at, THEN and ONLY THEN DC. 3 - Don't find some lame ass excuse to back up you DCing. Take the death (because you obviously would have died anyway in these situations), respawn, while respawned, fix your graphical glitches, then resume playing. Don't fucking DC.

I understand that you are reporting a player because they are manipulating the core game mechanics in their favor in a "legitimate" way and people are against combat loggers, but don't report it. I have had 40+ people combat log on me. The devs know about it and they have plans to deal with it. The amount of threads would probably increase 3 fold if everyone reported a combat logger. Just think to yourself "what a dickhead", remember not to combat log because of your experience with a combat logger, then move on. Trust me, it will happen A LOT.

Happens to everyone. Leave the server that it's happening on and find a new server. It's really the only fix as of right now.

You can't remove a gun straight out of their hands. You cannot remove anything from their immediate inventory, only items from their backpack.

Yes. Use your mouse wheel while staring at the player. Scroll the mouse wheel, select "Open (name of pack they have on)".

lol the best rage comment I've seen in weeks. Don't worry, though. There are many steps to setting up DayZ, but if you find the proper guide, it's a breeze. I'd suggest a YouTube video (look up how to set up DayZ for retail, because many will show you how to do it for Steam) because you'll have a visual step-by-step guide.
