Alright guys, So I found an M4A3 CCO, 3 mags on it, and I know there's another one nearby. Question is do I take it? I currently have a Lee Enfield, with a total of 7 Magazines. How many shots from the M4A3 does it take to drop a Zombie? Quite fond of one shot kills to be honest.

Every server gives me this message. Either that, or it gets stuck on loading :/ Any ideas?

Ah, okay, yeah - seems to have been doing it constantly though, haven;t played in about 3 days. I have however been aiming for quieter servers, less chance of getting shot haha

Hey guys. So I just stumbled across a quad bike, or ATV I think. Anywho, I immediatly saved - as it was in working order (pretty much). If I move servers now, will it still be where I left it when I log in? Also, how long does night time last? Scared. ;_;

Do you mean if I move it will come with me? Or it won't? And damnit, man, night time actually DOES scare the hell out of me.

I'd like to see us all start with a hunting knife - seeing as hatchets spawn so often, at least you'd have a means of food. 'Cause the problem for me was that, by the time I'd gotten into a town and started looking, I was already starving, and already thirsty. I was lucky this time, as I managed to get some good gear early on. Although I am a lone wolf, so luck is all I have.

Running out of ideas where to look, looked all over. It's the next item on my list before I go in search of a car (Unrelated, but I saw a thread about a car-park? Where is this place?) I've got so much ammo now for my lee enfield, but I keep getting faced with awkward decisions about food, water, etc.

Hmm, I guess you're right about not being a safe means. Just such a struggle to decide what to have with you at anyone time. Suppose it's better than relying say, on food in a tent, and returning to find it looted. Thanks for the responses guys. Guess I could ditch a few magazines from my Lee Enfield, carrying 8 atm, and I rarely fight.

I got there a few days back, was quiet when I first logged in, second time I got shot at almost straight away. The difference was though, first time there were 12 players on the server. Second time there were 38 (I think). Anywho, see you all in Stary Sobor? :D

Yo dude. I'm looking for fellow newbies to team up with. I know a bit about survivng so far, but I'm looking for a group to go insearch of a vehicle and some ammo. PM if you want with a Steam Name, we can find a teamspeak or something and get going.

I was in Cherno, wounded on a rooftop and running out of ammo. It was pitch black, so going down into the dark in this state, hungry too, was probably a bad idea. I knew there were medical tents below me - but I didn't know what else was there. All of a sudden, a flare popped, I cautiously looked down and saw a well geared looking survivor exploring the tents. I had about three rounds left in my lee enfield. He went into the first of two tents, I watched, I could see him swapping over items and healing himself, or eating. I waited, he navigated into the second tent, and this time found something near the entrance - leaving me a clear shot. I killed him, went down, and looted him. Took his backpack, he even had a map which has come in handy I must say. But I feel bad about this because I prefer PvE - but I guess survival drove me to it. If whoever that was see's this - I'm sorry, but thanks for the map

Dude, I dunno if you're gonna be game for this idea. But head inland a bit. You know the farm type areas? You often find rifles in the Barns. Like, I can't say, "I PROMISE THERE WILL 100% BE AN M240 WITH FULL AMMO" - but there's a strong chance there will be something. As for food, if you can get a hatchet, hunting knife, and matches - you're all set! Kill cow, gut cow, cook cow, live. Good luck!

Hi guys! So yes, I am new to DayZ - but I've learned a few really helpful things over the past few days - seeing as I am a survivor, not really into PvPing, I thought I'd share it with you guys. One of the best locations I found for medical supplies, was inside Cherno, if you guys know where the hospital is there, you may know that nearby there are medical tents - I arrived with a broken leg on a busy server, in need of morphine - obviously it had been looted fully, but, the first tent I went too, just in the corner, allowed me to use the "Heal at First Aid tent" option. Although this didn't get rid of the icon, I could walk again. So here's the actual tip. If you want to avoid players, or there is no loot where you believe there should be.. Go to a quiet server! It worked really well for me. When I went to a new server, the same location had at least five boxes of medical supplies, even found an AK 47 with two mags not far from where I was, a map, a Czech Backpack. If you're looking for a weapon - move away from the villages - head to farmyards, find the open barns that you can enter, countless times I've been to them and found weapons and ammo - just this morning I was looking for Lee Enfield ammo, when I found a Winchester, with 4 magazines in the same barn for it. Also these barns are a great hold up if you're being chased, Zombies can't run up stairs, so they are extremely easy to kill from this location (or anywhere with stairs) - even with a Makarov, as long as you hit the head, obviously. Anyway, probably most of this stuff you guys have heard before - but the other thing is I would like to ask if any EU players are looking to team up? I am here to survive really, not so much into PvP, I have murdered twice - but they weren't my fault, people trying to kill me first - you know the deal. What can I bring to the table when joining your group? I have a lot of medical supplies, including morphine (Which seems to be saught after very highly) and the means to get them easily. I have means to gather meat, and cook it - and some good locations to find it. I am blessed with having an in game map - and I am happy to help find buddies, etc. I am armed, and well stocked on ammo - again, happy to share. Just looking for a group of guys to build a camp with, get hold of some vehicles maybe? Oh, and raid villages and kill zombies ^^.
